Completed several unauthorized repairs and poor workmanship. I originally requested Executive Yacht Group (EYG) to check all fluids and a few specific items to get ship shape for a trip. EYG originally recommended a water pump replacement when it was obviously a lose hose clamp. Also they installed new speakers when I did not authorize or even mention, in addition to several other items I did not want or discuss - this was very perplexing. The workmanship was also poor i.e. installed replacement sound proofing in the engine room that fell off after one day of boating. Well the owner seems like a nice guy he was not very responsive and after two months of writing numerous emails he finally returned $300 of the total bill which was about $1600. I have copies of all correspondence between EYG and myself which are not disputable. After owning 6 boats over the last 30 years this was my first negative experience with a boat mechanic. My experience was similar to Edward K review dated 9/20/16.

Everything I am about to say I believe strongly and is my sincerest opinion: AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! I believe their quality and workmanship is sub standard. I was a customer of theirs for several plus years and I feel strongly during that time that they overcharged me for marine services, ripped me off, and did substandard work where I had to bring them back more than once to fix, or never got properly fixed, suggested work that was not really needed, etc. It took me a while to catch on to everything and put all of the pieces together as I trusted these guys, but I am now convinced that Executive Yacht Group (aka Marlan's Marine) is a RIP OFF OPERATION and I rarely have said that in the 100s or 1000s of businesses that I have dealt with! I received bills for repair work far in excess of what I was quoted and I and others believe the work was done poorly. I ultimately refused to pay some of their overcharges on this poor work and they placed a maritime lien on my boat. I had to get legal with them to free myself of these bloodsuckers in a negotiated settlement. I also lost the sale of my boat more than once when the buyer initiated Marine survey(s) found serious issues with the work they had JUST PERFORMED, or even worse CLAIMED TO PERFORM, and charged me handsomely for, and far over the quoted amount!!! Often I would see small additional charges on my monthly service bill for items that I did not authorize that I feel they tried to slip by me or use to pad profit! I feel strongly you should FIND ANOTHER SERVICE. If you get in with them, I believe they will do their best to suck as much cash off you as possible. They are great and convincing sales people and they sound knowledgeable. In my opinion, Marlan Hoffman looks at boat owner's as fatted calfs with disposable money. He is really good at getting that money from your pocket in to his.

Executive's team takes very good care of my Bayliner 34'. They fullfill all my boating needs: maintenance, hull-cleaning and washdowns. Very reliable, cost effective and trustworthy.

Once you confirm your reservation, your broker will process your payment.

• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is confirmed more than 7 days in advance, a deposit of either $1,000 USD or 50% of the total cost of the reservation (whichever is greater) is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 7 days away, the remainder of the amount due is processed.
• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is made 7 days or less in advance, the total price of your reservation is processed immediately.
• If you are booking for a multi-day charter and your reservation is confirmed more than 30 days in advance, a deposit of 50% of the cost of the yacht is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 30 days away, the other 50% is collected for the price of the yacht, plus the APA, plus the taxes due.

Terms of refunds are dictated by the Charter Agreement. Generally, once a payment is collected, it is non-refundable. In certain circumstances, as dictated by the Charter Agreement, credits can be provided so you will be able to enjoy your yacht charter at a future date that is convenient for you.
