My Seanna Yacht: Everything You Want To Know

The first thing you need to know about the luxury yacht called My Seanna, made famous on the show Below Deck, is that it’s no longer called My Seanna. Delta Marine built this yacht back in the year 2000 but it received a major update in 2021 when it was sold and the new owner decided to rename it Starship. The new name obviously hasn’t caught on yet and, since it’s famous from Below Deck, it likely will always be remembered as My Seanna.

What is the Interior of the Motor Yacht Starship Like?

As you can imagine, a yacht that made headlines specifically for being the setting of a reality show has to have a lot going on for it to make it attractive and desirable. The Starship has accommodation for up to 12 guests in six cabins. That includes a main deck owner’s suite and a VIP suite located on the bridge deck. The remaining 4 guest cabins are still very large and well appointed as well with queen-sized beds in two and king-sized in the other two. 

The VIP suite features a king size bed and en-suite bathroom facilities. The master suite comes with a king size bed and also en-suite bathroom facilities located at the bow.

What do the 11 crew members do? Well, there’s obviously a captain and some crew to do the literal boat operations, but you can also find a mixologist, a personal trainer, a tea sommelier, and divemaster on board.

There is a main saloon on the bridge deck located on the upper aft deck. It features a massive 61-inch flatscreen television set and a large and expansive lounge area. There’s even a Gran Tour player piano. You can also fully black the windows and turn the space into a movie theater. The bridge deck boasts an outdoor cinema option as well, if you’d rather relax under the stars watching Jaws. If you’re in more of a party mood there’s also a dance floor for cutting loose. 

In terms of those subtle touches you’ll find a lot of gold and cream tones throughout the yacht. Natural wood is complemented by gilding, glass chandeliers, marble accents and, of course, gold. It has a real “penthouse on the sea” vibe which is obviously very intentional.

Outdoor dining, al fresco dining spaces and a lot of open deck space is meant to encourage spending more time outside than in. This fits with the image fostered on Below Deck and the fact that My Seanna has spent most of her time at sea in tropical and exotic locations where passengers can enjoy beautiful weather at all times. 

A popular feature among charter guests seems to be the sundeck Jacuzzi for obvious reasons. It’s surrounded by a cocktail bar to keep the party going. Below you’ll find a beach club with a shaded  lounge space There’s also a sauna and a fairly well equipped gym space for working out. There’s also a galley available for simple snacks and drinks when you’re in the mood.

Because the the luxury motor yacht Starship is synonymous with fun and good times it’s no surprise to learn that it’s got more toys than you can shake a stick at, even compared to some larger yachts out there. We’re looking at some towable inflatables as well as other tow sports like water skiing and wakeboarding. There are sea kayaks, trampolines, fishing gear, and a beach party set up which includes a waterslide.

The yacht got a retrofit to go along with its 2021 sale and that means the toy box got one too. The new Starship includes four jet skis, four sea bobs, dive gear including a dive master and a 12-meter Intrepid tender outfitted for fishing and diving. Plus there’s a helipad!

Was There An Accident on This Luxury Charter Yacht?

Because My Seanna was on a reality show, people have seen a lot more of yacht life on this vessel in specific than many others. One thing that made headlines was a serious incident that could have turned out much worse. 

In 2018, as the yacht was leaving dock somewhere, a deckhand got tangled in one of the lines just after the engines started. As the boat started moving, the man was yanked by his ankle into the water behind the boat.

The man ended up being fine, but it was very close to a potentially deadly accident. In fact, it’s been speculated that the unique design of the My Seanna is the only reason the man didn’t suffer serious injuries. The boat was designed to be 150 feet long. However, at some point, the owners decided on an extra 30 feet so the design had to be adapted. The result is that the props are more recessed than they would have been if the boat was designed as a 180 foot vessel from the start. 

If the props were where they should have been, the man very likely would have been caught in them and perhaps been badly wounded or even died. And had there not been a quick-thinking cameraman close by the remove the ropes, the man might have drowned as well.

The yacht that Captain Lee Rosbach is sailing on this season of Below Deck is the notorious My Seanna. While fans of the show haven't seen the yacht since season six in 2018, it was quite the impressive power vessel. It looks like Valor is taking a back seat for this season.

On this season of the popular Bravo series, My Seanna is setting sailing once again with Captain Lee and the crew from the show. Even though it has been a couple of years since the fans have seen the massive yacht, they do not forget all the great times the crew had on it during season 6. Captain Lee took the My Seanna ship all the way to Tahiti on season 6, which made for quite the picturesque season. Now My Seanna is back on the water, sailing through the Caribbean sea with the crew from Below Deck .

According to Mega Yacht News , the My Seanna yacht  seen on  Below Deck was built 20 years ago by Delta Marine and previously named Gallant Lady. Back the yacht was 160 feet, but was refitted in 2014 to the 185-foot mega yacht its appears as today. The Yacht Charter Fleet added that the interior and exterior designs of the boat were designed by Glade Johnson Design. The overall look and style of the yacht feels expensive and luxurious thanks to the fabulous designs the vessel was given. Not only is the boat beautifully design, but it is massive enough to fit up to 12 guests. The yacht includes six rooms, including a master suite, one VIP stateroom and 4 double cabins. Not to mention, My Seanna can also hold up to 12 crew members on board to ensure a relaxed and luxurious experience. The price for a boat like this will cost you between $350,000 and $412,500 per week in the summertime and between $294,000 and $392,000 per week during the winter seasons.

Even the beautiful furnishings and lavish seating featured throughout the yacht  were carefully placed to create a rich and comfortable atmosphere. As for amenities, the My Seanna includes impressive leisure and entertainment facilities that make this boat ideal for socializing and entertaining with family and friends. The outdoor movie theatre allows for downtime with some company. Plus, there is a touch-and-go helipad for those who may enjoy a fun helicopter ride. Some other important amenities features that guests might enjoy are the air conditioning, WiFi connection on board, deck jacuzzi, and gym equipment. Not to mention, the boat also includes an array of amazing water toys such as several kayaks, a water trampoline, an inflatable waterslide, and more. As for the performance of the ship, My Seanna includes an ultra-modern stabilization system to help reduce the roll motion effect and for maximum comfort throughout one's charter trip. With a cruising speed of 13 knots and a maximum speed of 15 knots, the My Seanna is ideal for those who love performance and luxury.

The My Seanna has been proven to be a reliable yacht for both its crew and its guest for many years. Since  Below Deck has used this ship more than once, proves just how great the My Seanna has been to those who have had the pleasure of chartering it. Motor Yacht

Luxury Motor Yacht Newvida, built in 2000 by American shipyard Delta Marine defines causal elegance. With an aluminium hull and composite superstructure her naval architecture is by Douglas Sharp while she features interior and exterior design by Glade Johnson. This twin screw superyacht measures 48.77 metres and can accommodate up to 10 guests.

Previously known as Gallant Lady, the luxury superyacht draws a mere 1.85 metre draft that makes her capable of extraordinary beach access for a yacht of her size, accommodating the owner’s requests for close-in intra-coastal cruising.

Long window openings ending in ovals create a distinctive profile and dramatic interior features. Exquisite control of proportion and line maintains harmony between the four decks. What truly distinguishes Newvida, however, is the inspired flow and relationship of space.

A formal salon opens to one of gracious informality; a single staircase transports guests from the grandeur of the foyer to the intimacy of the sundeck lounge. The yacht’s traffic flow is unique with two separate stair towers each connecting three decks, as does the interior crew stairs. Outside, discontinuous stairways link the exterior spaces from stern to crow’s nest, moving traffic both fore and aft.

In recognition of her extremely detailed interior motor yacht Newvida won the 2000 Showboats International Award for Best Motor Yacht Interior. A deep, satin-finished African mahogany is used throughout, which features joinery, inlays, and signature three-dimensional panels. Most of the stone is granite, adding beautiful colour and greater versatility. The beauty of the ample stonework conceals that it is veneered over near-weightless substrates, keeping weight down.

Newvida delivers the ultimate in quiet, vibration-free cruising. To ensure the peacefulness of the four suites, their floors and walls are suspended from the yacht’s structural frame on special vibration-absorbing mounts. Sound is further dampened through high-tech construction techniques that employ a sandwich of acoustic materials.

The padded, silk wall coverings above the mahogany chair rail are the final element in play, soaking up any last traces of ambient noise. The curved wall at the back of the stair column not only looks beautiful, but beneath the silk upholstery are space-age materials absorbing noise that might otherwise travel between decks. This classy vessel combines the best of new technology and traditional beauty.

Featuring a dedicated crew, she is an excellent charter yacht for luxury vacations. The yacht cruises comfortably at 13 knots while her crew of 11 ensure the needs of every guest are met. Newvida cruises the Mediterranean during the summer charter season.

Luxury yacht MY SEANNA from Delta Marine is the largest motor yacht to feature in the original Below Deck series, and gave viewers their first look at Tahiti and the wider French Polynesian charter grounds . Season Six was full of high-tension moments with a crewmate overboard, feuds and a firing, while above deck guests indulged in the on board amenities surrounded by paradise.

The Interiors

The lavish interiors from Las Olas Design and Glade Johnson Studio are classic in styling, and a wine cellar and Gran Tour player piano enhance the already rich atmosphere for corporate yacht charters, birthdays, honeymoons and other special celebrations. High quality wooden panelling and furniture is complemented by fittings brushed in 22-carat gold for truly opulent dining and lounging, while the beach club has a more laid-back atmosphere for resting beside the water.

Guests can follow up lively social events and days spent in the sunshine with a couple of hours of comfort in the air conditioned lounge that converts into a cinema, resting weary feet and winding down before a full night’s rest.

The Exteriors

The champagne-coloured hull of motor yacht MY SEANNA was originally only 48.8m/160ft but was extended to 56.4m/185ft during a refit from 2013 to 2014. The exterior styling from Glade Johnson Design is contemporary and suited to the outdoor lifestyle, offering numerous sunbathing and lounging areas, shaded alfresco dining areas on the sun deck and main deck aft, a large Jacuzzi and a helipad for the convenience of guests coming and going during the charter. At night, the sundeck aft becomes an outdoor cinema where guests can watch a film from the Jacuzzi, sofa or sun loungers with crew providing snacks and refreshments on demand.

Guests who want to remain active while cruising or at anchor have a dance floor and outdoor gym to work up a sweat and work off some of the delectable meals created by the talented on board chef.

The Accommodation

The accommodation sleeps up to 12 guests over 6 en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite, 3 VIP staterooms and 2 twin cabins.

The Master suite on the main deck forward is a spacious environment with its own office, lounge and TV entertainment for working and resting in peace away from the main group. The his-and-hers en-suite bathrooms are joined by a shower and spa pool in the centre for the option to get-up-and-go or wallow at the end of an action-packed day.

The primary VIP stateroom on the bridge deck has excellent privacy away from the other guest cabins, and the 180 degree forward views make this a highly coveted cabin. The occupants also have a lounger setting and TV entertainment, plus an aft bathroom and access to the sundeck gym, Jacuzzi and sunbeds.

Two remaining VIP staterooms and twin cabins are placed on the lower deck, and these spacious rooms also come with TV entertainment and their own en-suite bathrooms for complete privacy.

There is a crew of 12 on board for excellent service while maintaining privacy.

Further $2M price drop on Delta Marine superyacht Starship

The 56.4-metre Delta Marine motor yacht Starship , which famously starred in the hit reality series Below Deck under the pseudonym My Seanna, has received a price drop of $2,000,000. She is listed for sale with Robert Stotler of Worth Avenue Yachts .

Starship was built with an aluminium hull and GRP superstructure by US yard Delta Marine and delivered in 2000. With three owners since new, she has undergone numerous upgrades and refits since her launch, including a stern extension, a total engine rebuild and over $450,000 in paint and polishing in 2021. Starship completed a 20-year survey in November 2022.

The yacht's classic interior is the work of Glade Johnson and makes use of light Anigre with accents of Mahogany and gold leaf. Accommodation is offered for up to 12 guests in six cabins, including a main deck owner's suite and a VIP suite located on the bridge deck with a 180-degree view forward. 

The main saloon features a lounge to port and a dining area to starboard with access to the guest cabins via a spiral staircase. A secondary lounge on the bridge deck boasts a flat, more informal, lounge with a large seating area, while a built-in bar with polished stone tops completes the space.

Her exterior offers numerous options for entertaining guests or relaxing on board. The main aft deck provides al fresco dining with two 42-inch flatscreen television sets overhead, as well as loose furniture that can be cleared to make way for a dance floor. Stairs on the aft skylounge deck lead up to the sundeck, which has a 10-person Jacuzzi and steps leading to a crow's nest for sunbathing or observation.

Twin 1,100hp Caterpillar diesel engines enable a cruising speed of 12 knots topping out at 14 knots. 

Starship is now asking $19,750,000 and lying in Fort Lauderdale, USA.

Sean Meagher

Captain Sean P. Meagher. Born and raised on Cape Cod Sean was given his first sail boat, a Laser, at 8 years old. By 12 he graduated to a 13-foot Boston Whaler. By 18 he earned his first Captains ticket and became the youngest Captain ever at Hyline Cruises (a local ferry company providing service from Cape Cod to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard). From the polar ice cap to the atolls of the South Pacific, Captain Meagher has had the privilege to command everything from search and rescue vessels on the Colorado river to some of the worlds finest and most innovative power and sail yachts on the planet. On Captain Meagher’s last command, the MY Latitude, he undertook 3 historic journeys. In 2014 He led Latitude through the Northwest passage (east to west) and was the 216th boat in history to do so. Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen was the first in 1906. In 2015 Captain Meagher led a second expedition through the passage this time west to east was the 9th boat in history to ever do so and was awarded Boat Internationals Voyager Award. A glutton for punishment in 2016 Latitude ventured North once again. This time circumnavigating Svalbard, an archipelago north of Norway, and punching within 400 miles of the North pole. Latitude is the only private vessel ever to do this and was nominated for second Boat International Voyager Award. In 2017 Latitude headed to New Zealand where she underwent an extensive refit. Captain Meagher was the lead designer and Latitude was nominated along with Vripack for a third Boat International award. This time in the “Best Refit” category. After New Zealand Captain Meagher returned to his old stomping grounds of the south Pacific and South East Asia. Here he sadly said good bye to Latitude completing a five-year mission to go on adventures and photograph wildlife. A life long conservationist Captain Meagher has allied himself with organizations such as The Ocean Voyages Institute and has spoken internationally on the subject of plastics in the Ocean and what to do with them. As a charter Captain Sean has excelled here as well winning accolades and rave reviews from every major charter house on the planet. He has spoken frequently on the subject of the"perfect customer journey" something he feels passionate about. He doesn't just want to give you a great experience he wants to give you one you will never forget. Captain Meagher holds a USCG Master’s Unlimited Tonnage all oceans license for both sail and power.

‘My Seanna’ is a 184.97ft /56.38m custom motor yacht built in 2001 by Delta Marine and last refitted in 2014. Previously named Newvida, her luxurious interior and exterior is the work of Johnson Design.

Lots of unique features make this a great choice, and 360-degree views from the master suite mean you can take in the breath-taking views from a stylish vantage point. High-quality finishes throughout make this an impressive choice, and comprehensive AV and entertainment systems make this superyacht extremely popular with families. An outdoor movie theater provides movie buffs with a special cinematic experience, and a touch and go helipad allows you to explore from both sea and air.

My Seanna’s spacious interior layout sleeps up to 12 guests in 6 rooms, including a master suite, 1 VIP stateroom and 4 double cabins. She is easily capable of carrying up to 12 crew members onboard to make sure you get the most out of your charter experience.

She is built with aluminium hull and composite superstructure, and has a cruising speed of 13 knots, a maximum speed of 15 knots and a range of 4,000nm from 72,580litre fuel tanks, she is the perfect combination of performance and luxury.

A Jacuzzi on deck is great for relaxing after a long day at sea, you’ll love the on board gym kitted out with the latest exercise equipment.

She also comes complete with a modern stabilization system to reduce roll motion even during rough seas, and the yacht also has ‘at anchor stabilizers’ to keep things smooth even at anchor/zero speed.

While on board you’ll find a great Wi-Fi connection, so you can check emails or share your experience on social media. Air conditioning keeps conditions comfortable throughout the cabins, even on hot, sticky days.

Toys on board include 2 x 2 seat Waverunners, Inflatable trampoline Giant sun bed/trampoline, Snorkelling Equipment, Wake Board, Water-Ski, Bananas, and Fishing Equipment.

Chief stewardess Kate Chastain and deckhand Ashton Pienaar from Below Deck give an exclusive tour of season six yacht, the 56m/185ft superyacht ‘My Seanna’ .

Below Deck has returned to our screens, but in two firsts for the hit reality TV show, the new episodes are set in Tahiti aboard Delta Marina ’s My Seanna . Now you can see below and above deck on board the season six yacht thanks to the new video clip above posted by Bravo TV.

The tour, led by Kate and Ashton, begins in the main salon where viewers get their first glimpse of the traditional styling and sparkling gold finishes that run throughout the entire interior.  

Moving further forward on the main deck, the two crew members enter the master suite. Standing out are the two spacious en-suite bathrooms, one of which features a mural of a Tahitian landscape.

Four more staterooms are located on the lower deck. Kate reveals how both of the port-side cabins have two double beds each. This is very unusual as most twin cabins on board superyachts contain only single beds.

Kate and Ashton also show off the VIP cabin on the upper deck and, while on this level, the skylounge with its granite-topped bar and the wheelhouse are also unveiled. What’s more, while in the wheelhouse, fan favourite Captain Lee Rosbach makes an appearance.  

As well as showcasing the guest living areas, the footage also provides a glimpse into the rarely seen crew areas, including the galley, the laundry room and some of the crew cabins.

Out on deck, Ashton also talks viewers through the different exterior areas aboard the motor yacht , starting with the bow where the rescue tender and crane are located. He even points out where the anchor is released from and the bosun locker which contains all the fire equipment.

From here, he introduces the beach club and submersible swim platform before showing off the main deck aft, the upper deck aft with its large al fresco dining area, the sundeck and its spa pool and the unique crow’s nest.

Also impossible not to miss are the breath-taking cruising grounds. Luxury yacht My Seanna is anchored in a secluded bay with a beautifully rugged mountain backdrop, perfectly capturing the scenery travellers can expect while on a Tahiti yacht charter .
