While eager fashion fans were disappointed they didn’t get to see Beyoncé at the Met Gala on Monday, September 13 , the Grammy Award-winning musician was already quite busy that day, as she’s in the midst of a lavish 40th birthday celebration in Europe.. Beyoncé, who turned the big 4-0 on September 4, and Jay-Z have been living their best vacation lives aboard an absolutely massive megayacht, sailing around the Mediterranean .

Beyoncé, Jay-Z and their three children (Blue Ivy and twins Rumi and Sir) are currently aboard the Flying Fox , a 450-foot-long yacht was costs approximately $4 million a week to charter, according to Forbes . The palatial yacht, which cost a reported $400 million to build, has been rumored to belong to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos , though other reports claim the tech billionaire isn’t the owner.

No matter who owns the lavish yacht, it’s currently occupied by Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who have been traveling around Italy and France; they were spotted in Cannes earlier this week, where they were joined by Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, and dined at La Geurite, before heading to Portofino . Beyoncé has shared plenty of photos of the family’s European jaunt on her Instagram, including a snap where her youngest daughter, Rumi, makes a cameo.

The sprawling 67-foot-wide yacht does make for a rather picturesque Instagram aesthetic. The Flying Fox contains 10 bedroom suites, and can accommodate up to 25 guests as well as 55 crew members. The decor features lots of marble, limestone and cream leather, as well as rattan and coconut shell details, per Boat International .

The plush spa has oak paneling and heated limestone floors, and is equipped with a hammam, sauna and a massive pool, plus a cryosauna. There’s also a fancy gym, movie theater, a formal living room as well as a dining room with an aquarium. The owner’s suite has its own sitting room, beauty room and double dressing rooms, in addition to an ethanol fireplace.

There are no less than six decks, including a helipad perched on the very top. There’s also a DJ alcove, for whenever the guests might want to transform the aforementioned helipad into a dance floor.

Even though Beyoncé didn’t make an appearance at the Met Gala, she’s still making a true fashion statement with plenty of stylish vacation looks. And while she might not have stood on the red (well, beige) carpet, a $400 million yacht might be an even better backdrop than those famous Met steps.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z didn’t grace us with their presence at the Met Gala this week, but we can’t blame them at all — they’ve been too busy living their best lives on a superyacht in the Mediterranean. The photos the couple has given us on Bey’s Instagram account leave no question that they are a part of the elite one-percent because this yacht is exquisite.

The Flying Fox is a $400-million private cruise ship that can be chartered out for $4 million per week, making this a vacation that only the mega-rich can afford. (See the photos here .) There are a lot of rumors that the boat is owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, but that seems to be a questionable fact depending on who you talk to. And because this is no ordinary yacht, designer Mark Berryman came in to create gorgeous interiors filled with “bamboo, teak and oak,” according to Boat International.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have a pick of 10 VIP suites, but it’s likely they chose the master stateroom, which comes well-equipped for any A-list celebrity. We are talking about a bedroom with his and her dressing areas, a hot tub, a salon with a wood fireplace and a private office in case either of them has business to tend to on their vacation . There’s also a staff of 54 crew members, who specialize in everything from sports (if you need a little exercise) to beauty specialists (in case a facial is in order).

And we can’t forget about the food! The Carters are dining in style this week with chefs who can cater to their every whim , which is probably a good idea since their three kids, Blue Ivy, 9, and twins Rumi and Sir, 4, are with them — picky eaters can be accommodated. The family can feast on a “Michelin-star restaurant” meal or keep it more casual on the bridge deck with food from the “Teppanyaki grill, rotisserie oven, BBQ or spit roast tandoori oven.” Whatever menu they decide, they are going to eat well on their vacation — and it certainly puts any commercial cruise any of us might take to shame. Next time, we want to travel with the Carters (only if they pay for it).

Over the last few weeks, Beyoncé has been blessing our IG and social media feeds with random photos from her luxurious Italian yacht vacay with hubby Jay-Z . While the couple will never publically reveal all the deets on any trip they take— for safety and privacy reasons— we have been able to figure out a few things from the recent trip.

Sure, some of us may never be able to experience a vacation as lavish as Beyoncé and Jay-Z, but it’s fun to dream, right?

The cost of the super yacht

According to She Knows , The Carters spent nearly $4million per week to live their best lives around the Mediterranean. The yacht, known as The Flying Fox, is reportedly owned by billionaire Jeff Bezos, and totals $400 million. Whew!

The Super Yacht Times lists The Flying Fox as one of the largest private yachts in the world, with 6 decks and a helipad in case they need to jet off fast. It’s only fitting that Jay and Beyoncé lock it down for their family vacay. There are 10 VIP suites on board, a DJ area with dance floor, and it houses a 54-member crew during sailings.

The master stateroom is complete with his and her dressing areas, a hot tub, a salon with a wood fireplace and a private office.

Where did they sail?

From the photos, it is known that the family spent the majority of their time sailing around Italy and France. Outlet, the Observer , said the couple was spotted hanging out in Cannes, France and they also docked in Portifino for a little fun. While in Cannes, the couple met up with mama Tina Knowles and other friends to have dinner at La Guerite.

The restaurant has locations in Cannes and St. Barths, and is nestled on the rocky cove of Ile Sainte-Marguerite. The menu features authentic Mediterranean cuisine, and you can also lounge on sunbeds by the water.

We may not be able to rent a $4 million a week yacht, but we can at least try to get reservations at La Guerite and feel like a celeb for a night.

Drunk in love indeed! Beyonce and Jay Z jetted off to Italy for a belated BeyDay celebration on Wednesday, Sept. 9, and so far they’ve noshed on oysters and lounged on a massive yacht, and the birthday girl has found herself an even more massive glass of wine.

Beyoncé Takes ‘RENAISSANCE’ Tour Break with JAY-Z at Lake Como

We all need a break. That includes Beyoncé, who enjoyed a day off from her Renaissance World Tour to enjoy a two-day trip to Lake Como, Italy, with JAY-Z. The two were spotted at the Italian vacation spot, enjoying time with friends over dinner and admiring the lake.

According to PEOPLE , HOV got some jump shots and enjoyed a boat with his friend Jack Dorsey.

Beyoncé’s next tour stop is in Poland on Tuesday, and then her American run will start on July 8.

Beyonce and her eldest daughter Blue Ivy did just that, finding themselves a quiet spot on the aft deck to meditate and breathe in the fresh air.

She boasts a sumptuous cinema room, a well-equipped gym and a Turkish-style spa that oozes with indulgence. Her second helipad can be used as a basketball court.

With a ‘Champagne & Caviar’ theme influencing the interior design choices, Reymond Langton Design kept to a luxe black and gold colour palette throughout that gives the space a classic, sophisticated ambiance.

LED-screen walls line the main stairwell, which is furnished in ornate gold. The screens are connected to cameras fitted on the outside of the yacht, so a floor-to-ceiling panoramic view over the ocean can be enjoyed from the comfort of inside.

At the foot of the stairwell, a contemporary grand piano with a golden body and marble-topped surface stands proudly. The solid marble embellishments extend into several of the cabin ensuites and the spa.

According to a source, queen Bey and her hubby love la dolce vita so much that it's become a "tradition". They told Us Weekly : "Almost every September, they head to Italy and France and charter an überluxe yacht for a week or two." The handsome duo looked crazy in love on holiday, as they were pictured embracing aboard the yacht in Sardinia, Italy.

They certainly have a soft spot for this glamorous part of the world – they holidayed in Italy once already this year when they went to Florence for a wedding. Naturally, they made the most of being in the land of gelato, pizza, and art and Beyoncé shared their travel highlights with fans – a carousel ride in Florence's Piazza della Repubblica , a trip to the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze , and of course, a margherita pizza.

They've spent the summer darting around the world, their family in tow, performing their On The Run II joint tour.

But it was all about family time - and then alone time - for Beyoncé and Jay-Z on Tuesday, as they took to the seas around Capri, Italy , for a sun-drenched afternoon in the sunshine.

With their three children with them - Blue Ivy, six, and twins Rumi and Sir, one - the Carter family were seen hanging out by the on-board hot tub, and enjoying quality time as a family over lunch.

The famous pair looked relaxed as they enjoyed the amenities of the luxury vessel, with Beyoncé, 36, wearing a flowing sun robe and a flamingo pink sun hat on the boat's deck.

She was seen stepping into the hot tub with her husband, 48, who was seen reclining back and enjoying the sea air.

Jay-Z wore a pair of dark shades and a black baseball cap for the dip in the hot tub. He also added a loud pair of yellow swimming shorts to complete his sailing get-up.

Beyoncé and JAY-Z Enjoy Some Fun in the Sun at Lake Como — See the Pictures!

The singer is currently on the international leg of the Renaissance World Tour

Beyoncé and JAY-Z are making the most out of summer.

During a break from the Renaissance World Tour on Sunday, the performer, 41, and rapper, 53, were spotted enjoying some downtime and laughing with friends while on a two-day trip to Lake Como, Italy.

While their getaway was short, the longtime couple — who have been married since April 2008 — filled their trip with activities, including a relaxing dinner with friends where the group chatted and admired the lake together.

The Roc Nation founder was also seen shooting hoops and exploring the lake on a boat with pal Jack Dorsey while the singer spent some time at the luxury resort.

While the tour is scheduled to wrap on Sept. 27 in New Orleans, the singer is set to perform in Poland on Tuesday before embarking on the North American leg of the tour on July 8. It marks her first solo concert outing in seven years . The setlist includes performances of songs from her seventh studio album Renaissance .

While announcing the release of the album in 2022, the Grammy winner shared that the music was developed as an "escape during a scary time for the world."

"Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving," she wrote on Instagram , alongside the album's cover art .

"My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment," she continued. "A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are."

Beyoncé first spoke out about the importance of the album during an interview for Harper's BAZAAR 's September Icon issue in 2021.

"With all the isolation and injustice over the past year, I think we are all ready to escape, travel, love, and laugh again," she told the publication. "I feel a renaissance emerging, and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible."

"I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half," she continued. "Sometimes it takes a year for me to personally search through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare. One chorus can have up to 200 stacked harmonies. Still, there’s nothing like the amount of love, passion, and healing that I feel in the recording studio."

Beyoncé and JAY-Z Attend Her Former Assistant's Wedding with Daughter Blue Ivy

Beyoncé , JAY-Z and Blue Ivy spent some time in Nantucket celebrating the "II Hands II Heaven" singer's former assistant over the weekend.

On Saturday, Sept. 7, the A-list couple and their oldest child were spotted attending the Nantucket, Mass. wedding of Beyoncé's former personal assistant Sam Greenberg.

In a photograph shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) of the family at the event, Beyoncé, 43, wore a floral ensemble while Blue Ivy, 12, opted for a red dress. JAY-Z, 54, donned a beige suit with a white shirt. The family completed their wedding outfits with sunglasses.

A video shared on X from the event showed JAY-Z waving to the camera, while Beyoncé appeared to be chatting with the bride.

The wedding celebration comes days after Beyoncé celebrated her 43rd birthday. She posted several photos on Instagram to mark the occasion , which included a luxurious vacation. “I’m so grateful for another year,” she captioned the Sept. 6 update. “Thank you for the loving birthday wishes. 🙏🏾🐝.”

Throughout the carousel, Bey posed with balloons, showed off a stunning diamond ring and monogrammed sunglasses and lounged with her husband .

The vacation follows a busy year for the "Texas Hold 'Em" singer. She released her country album Cowboy Carter in March. Weeks later, the trailer for her upcoming movie with Blue Ivy, Mufasa , made its debut.

In August, she launched a whisky named SirDavis , after her great-grandfather David Hogue, who was a farmer and moonshiner. This all comes not long after her Renaissance World Tour — which also featured several Blue Ivy cameos — and the concert movie's release in late 2023 .
