Preparations are in full swing for the 4th Olympic Yacht Show to be held at Olympic Marine, in Lavrio, October 10-13. This year’s list of exhibitors includes the latest additions to the diverse yachting market, giving attendees the opportunity for new B2B meetings that will lead to important business deals.

Just three months before the big rendezvous of yachting professionals and friends from all over the world, the open places in both the floating and the land section of the exhibition get steadily filled, matching the organisers’ high expectations for a new participation record. The event that has established itself on the international map of major yachting events already stands out as the only event in Greece that focuses on the medium and large class, while also highlighting the new premium models for sale.

According to the head of the Show’s Organizing Committee, Gerasimos Gerolimatos: “The Olympic Yacht Show is now a vital meeting point for the enthusiasts and professionals of yachting, as well as for Greek and foreign yards. This year it will be bigger and even more diverse. What’s worth noting today is that the Olympic Yacht Show is the Greek tool for promoting the market of sea tourism and luxury tourism. It sheds prismatic light upon this market, while at the same time putting Greek Yachting in the foreground. It sends out a strong message that the Greek market is one of the most active and significant sectors of our economy and remains forever competitive in the international arena.”

As in the previous events, the largest companies of the sector will make their presence felt in the stylish and well-thought-out venue of Olympic Marine, while space has been provided for the large category of luxury ribs and day cruisers.

Held at the facilities of Olympic Marine in Lavrio, the Olympic Yacht Show illustrated its impact on the yachting sector for the third year in a row, closing its gates on Sunday, October 22.

Over four days the unique premium Greek in-water yacht show welcomed more than 15,000 visitors who had the opportunity to get the latest information about the world of yachting by the managers of 100 leading houses and manufacturers and admire 120 new boats from up close in the Show’s floating section. Visitor also enjoyed several national and European premieres that naturally were the focus of attention.

The upward trend in attendance and exhibitor participations at the 3rd Olympic Yacht Show is a token of the avid interest of the Greek market in high quality sea tourism and proves that our country can boast top professionals in the yachting sector. “We believe that the Olympic Yacht Show is a pivotal organisation since it gives us the opportunity to show our boats in their natural environment, the sea. We are gold sponsors to the Show because we believe that organising a floating Yacht Show in Greece is simply of the essence. The efforts of Gerasimos Gerolimatos and the ONDECK team are important for our country and the industry,” stressed Giorgos Riginos, CEO of Riginos SA.

On that note, Kostas Koronakis, CEO of D. Koronakis S.A. also stressed that “just like the previous two years, this year’s 3rd Olympic Yacht Show has posed a challenge for our company. The event has been an international meeting point for people active in the diverse yachting industry; people who had the opportunity to exchange ideas regarding the development of premium sea tourism that promotes our country internationally. The coverage of the show by the international media and the general keen interest in it proved for one more year that the Olympic Yacht Show, which has now won the status of an institution, deserves a place among the equivalent leading European events.

“The Olympic Yacht Show has become an institution, a prospect we already predicted the 1st year it was held. This year we brought to the Show all of the new Saxdor models and visitors had the opportunity to see for the first time in Greece the new 400 that premiered in Monaco. As for the significance of the Olympic Yacht Show, Dimitris Deligiannis, Managing Partner of Atalanta Marine , also noted: “Atalanta Marine was the first company to support the Olympic Yacht Show. It is the only Show able to support the boats we represent. For yet another year we have received great feedback from the public, much to our satisfaction.”

The following day found the organizers already kitting out for the 4th Olympic Yacht Show with the managers at Olympic Marine in Lavrio stating that they are ready for an even better show in terms of the services provided. “Olympic Marine’s efforts to improve our services are ongoing and unremitting. We invest in new people and we constantly try to raise the bar,” emphasized Vassilis Priftis, CEO of Olympic Marine.

The curtain of the 3rd Olympic Yacht Show , organized by ONDECK EVENTS, has fallen with both organizers and exhibitors wishing that this premium in-water yacht show continues to be a fruitful platform for the promotion of yachting, a powerful tool for upgrading the tourism product, a plateau for further discussions between professionals and, therefore, a think tank that will not follow trends but create them.

Olympic Yacht Show to open in Greece this week

The second edition of the Olympic Yacht Show is to be held 7-10 October 2022 at the renovated facilities of Olympic Marine in Lavrio.

Like last year, the Olympic Yacht show will be held across the floating pontoons and on land, but organisers, Ondeck Events , say it will be bigger and even more diverse.

It’s reported that the show has already attracted the attention of some of the largest yachting companies in Greece, while other international companies and shipyards have confirmed their participation as guests.

Some of the Greek shipyards present at this year’s Olympic Yacht Show 2022 will include Olympic YachΙS, Skipper-BSK, Technohull, Rafnar Hellas, Rock Marine, Seafighter, Olympic Ribs, and Onda Tenders.

Over 100 boats and yachts are estimated to be on display, with premiers including Swan Shadow, Olympic 45 SRC, Ribco 100 G2 X, and Rafnar 1200 Cross Cabin.

“The Olympic Yacht Show aims to become a significant communication platform for the Greek shipbuilding industry,” says Gerasimos Gerolimatos, head of the Olympic Yacht Show Organising Committee. “Greek yachts must have their own local show at home in order to attract foreign buyers; this is one of the main reasons for visiting the show.”

Omikron Yachts OT60: First Appearance at the Olympic Yacht Show

Omikron Yachts , the new brand of Olympic Marine’s established shipyard, is presenting its first production model, the OT60, at the Olympic Yacht Show 2023 – an event that the Greek nautical institution intends to make memorable. The OT60 was recognized at the Venice Boat Show last June as the herald of an attractive new segment in the market, combining the easygoing lifestyle and quiet efficiency of sailing with the convenience and space of a motor yacht.

At the 2023 Olympic Yacht Show, held from the 19th to the 22nd of October, Omikron Yachts will have on display two OT60, energized by a summer of positive first impressions and fun on the water, which continued from its debut in Venice this June. The new model proposes a unique approach to sustainability at sea that embraces technology with an eye to the future, making a perfect representative for Olympic Marine shipyard.

A testament to the capability of the Omikron Technical Office, the OT60 is an elegant eco-cruiser, that provides more space at a comfortable pace. Four cylinder engines and a custom hull design by Juan-K, optimized for cruising at 10-12 knots, allow the OT60 to travel up to 1000 nautical miles, consuming just 1.5 liters per nautical mile. The inspiration for the OT60 comes from the waters surrounding Olympic Marine, the habits of visitors and the local culture, rendering the chance to observe her in perfect harmony with her natural habitat.

The interior and exterior design are the work of Lorenzo Argento, who studied the project around the goal of a beautiful journey, which he realized in both appearance and reality. Unexpected spaces play an important role, such as the double-deck annex for guests and the highly functional rooftop arrangement. Ciarmoli Queda Studio styled the interiors with natural materials, neutral colors and tactile finishes, rendering every space and surface on board both comfortable and inviting.

Chairman of Olympic Marine, Omikron Yachts ’ parent company, Nikolas Dendrinos commented, “We are anticipating this years Olympic Yacht Show like never before, because now we have skin in the game – a production model that we built to reflect our passion and our seas.
