A new feature is a second cockpit with sunbathing areas forward on the yacht, offering unrivalled comfort both under way and at anchor.
With the Dufour 48, the shipyard is continuing to innovate, again and again. The DNA of the Dufour brand has been preserved to offer owners the performance and comfort they deserve. The teams’ extensive know-how and experience promise a robust, efficient yacht for all types of boating.

A LUXURY YACHT DESIGNED FOR OUTDOOR LIVING
The Dufour 48 luxury yacht has been designed for enjoying the fresh air on the ocean. Life on board is comfortable at all times, both below deck and outside.
The aft cockpit has been redesigned to offer significant space. When under way, moving around on board is simple and natural. Two tables provide a splendid spot for enjoying meals or simply relaxing at anchor.
What would a Dufour be without its aft platform? Once again equipped with a plancha grill, it comes with a host of new features. It’s a genuine outdoor galley, equipped with all the essentials.
To complete the layout, the Dufour 48 has a second cockpit, this time, forward. Here, a sun lounger can be installed for unforgettable moments of relaxation at anchor or under way.
EVER MORE MODERN LINES
The design of the Dufour 48 sailboat has been redrawn by naval architect Umberto Felci of Felci Yachts Design. The lines are fluid and the boat offers a great amount of volume. The usual coachroof glazing has been redesigned as longitudinal windows with integrated opening hatches.
EXCEPTIONAL LIGHT
Already a focal point aboard previous models of the Dufour 48, light is once again a major feature. The coachroof’s full-length windows provide constant light, which is diffused throughout the interior saloon and galley.
When the mattresses from the sun loungers are removed from the forward cockpit, large windows are revealed, letting in even more light to the yacht’s interior.
OPTIMISED INTERIORS
Depending on which version of the Dufour 48 sailboat you choose, all the furniture has been optimised to ensure unrivalled comfort. If you choose the forward or lateral galley, there is always plenty of storage space provided.
Dedicated interior saloon tables have been created by interior designer Ardizio Design. These are optimised for the three- and four-cabin versions.
In the cabins, blackout blinds are integrated directly into the ceiling. So, despite the brightness of the boat, you won’t be disturbed by the very first rays of daybreak.

15M 1908 Gaff Cutter – Mariska
Mariska, constructed by William Fife & Sons in 1908, is a magnificent 15m Class rule classic sailing yacht. With an interior design by Fife, Ines Knoll Design, and an exterior design by William Fife Jr.
Mariska’s illustrious racing career in the 15m Class spanned from 1908 to 1939, cementing her status as one of the most renowned classic yachts to date. Throughout her years on the water, she garnered numerous accolades and was graced with exceptional owners, including Olle Grafstrom, a renowned jazz musician and visual artist who resided aboard for an extended period. In 1942, Mariska became the possession of the Royal Swedish Yacht Club, benefitting from the protection offered by their neutrality during the war. She remained in Sweden for 73 years.
Following her relocation to France, Mariska underwent an extensive restoration that spanned a decade. She then found her way to Slovenia, where dedicated maintenance efforts tirelessly preserved her in impeccable racing condition since 2020. Today, Mariska has returned to the racing circuit, showcasing her enduring splendor, and is available for charter, providing a unique opportunity to experience her timeless elegance and wonderful design.

How much should I tip the boat captain/crew?
The crew will work hard to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable time on board. If you have enjoyed your charter we would suggest a 10% is customary.
How do I confirm a yacht charter?
To confirm a charter we will send you a charter agreement for signature and invoice for a deposit. The owner will counter-sign the charter agreement and then your charter will be confirmed
What else will I need to pay for?
In addition to the charter fee you will pay an Advanced Charter Allowance (ACA) from which the cost for all food and drink for the duration of the charter, fuel, marina and any other additional expenses will be deducted.
What happens once I have booked?
Once you have booked a cruising charter we will be in touch to gather your charter preferences including dietary preferences, meal times and itinerary. We will liaise with the chef to arrange a proposed menu for the charter and put you in touch with the crew via Whatsapp chat.
What are high and low season dates for Caribbean cruising charters
High Season includes the Christmas and New Year period (approx 28th December – 7th January) and 2 weeks around Easter
Can I charter a yacht for a corporate event?
Yes, we offer corporate yacht charters that are perfect for team-building exercises and other corporate functions.
What insurance will I need?
The yacht is fully insured but you will need your own personal insurance that covers yacht racing
Do I need an owners rep/boat captain and what role will they have?
Most of our yachts have to come with a boat captain / owner’s representative; this person isn’t there to be the skipper and they can fit into your team wherever you need. There knowledge of the boat can help you get the best performance from the boat and minimise avoidable damage.
Eating out as a crew?
If you decide to venture out as a group and wish to include the permanent crew, please remember that what is your holiday is their job. If you would like to show your appreciation for all their hard work in making your holiday a success by asking them to join you for a night out, then please be kind enough to pay for their expenses.
What is racing yacht charter?
Racing yacht charter is a unique opportunity that allows you to charter a race prepared yacht with your team and participate in regattas around the world. We can cater for race charter opportunites from a group of friends wanting a fun regatta in the sun to a professional team looking for silverwear.
Do I need sailing experience to participate in a racing yacht charter?
Sailing experience requirements varies according to yacht and regatta of choice. Some yachts like a Volvo 65 require more sailing experience than joining the team on a 40′ racer cruiser. When arranging your charter with you we discuss any pre-requisite experience with you.
What is the duration of a racing yacht charter?
For most racing charters your schedule will include 2 training days prior to the event start date, for offshore races a third day for boat preparation will also be included.
What additional costs should I expect?
In addition to the charter fee you may pay a security deposit and an Advanced Charter Allowance (ACA) to cover charter related costs including race entry, berthing and other charter related costs.
Can you arrange accommodation?
Yes, we offer a regatta concierge service which means that in addition to arranging your race entry and berthing we can also recommend and book accommodation ashore, flights, transfers and restaurant bookings as well as much more.* * 10% service charge applies for regatta concierge services
Once you have booked a charter we will be in touch to gather crew information in order to handle the race entry on your behalf. As the regatta date approaches we will connect you with the Boat Captain via Whatsapp chat and provide useful information on both the event and on the location. We are available at any time via phone or email to answer any other questions or queries you may have.
What is the security deposit for?
The security deposit is to cover damage to the yacht, that is more than just general wear and tear that would be expected when racing. In the worst case scenario it will cover the excess should there be the need for a claim on the yacht’s insurance. However, it is also there to cover less serious damage that does not warrant an insurance claim like damages to sails. If there is no damage then we will refund the security deposit in the week following the charter. If there are any damages the value of these damages will be assessed and the balance of the security deposit refunded after these costs have been deducted.

First look: 15m Explorer Yacht Lynx
- Toby Hodges
- November 8, 2023
The 15m Explorer Yacht Lynx is a multipurpose and multi-climates yacht and is both a bluewater cruiser and a high lats explorer, capable of transiting the Northwest Passage
Product Overview
This 15m Explorer Yacht Lynx is very much a descendant of Qilak , and is even dubbed ‘little Qilak’, thanks to its similar looks, its hydraulic lifting keel, twin rudders and pilothouse. The latter is expansive enough to incorporate a watchkeeping station and a pilot berth.
A multipurpose and multi-climates yacht, Lynx is both a bluewater cruiser and a high lats explorer, capable of transiting the Northwest Passage. A private yacht designed for a Swiss owner, it complies with the MGN 280 code to allow for commercial/charter voyages in all oceans and polar regions.
“ Lynx represents the latest in small explorer yacht design, aimed specifically at families/small groups for short-handed, fast passages and with the ability to then remain in remote areas without support for prolonged periods,” Allen Clarke explains.
This is a true explorer yacht in that it is ice rated and built accordingly with double frames and an ice belt in the hull. The tank capacities are particularly capacious and help give an extensive cruising range under motor of over 3,000 miles.
Clarke explains how they can use VPP programming based on motorsailing and when the engine goes on to help calculate fuel/tankage: “It’s the same stuff we use on race boats but here we’re using it for a remote cruising boat.”
The designers’ assumptions were made on having a watermaker, 800Ah batteries and an 80A 24V alternator. Four major passages were analysed, ranging from the 2,000 miles of a Northwest Passage to the 7,500 miles from Europe to Montevideo, Uruguay, as well as spending up to 60 days aboard. Fuel usage from motoring, charging batteries and heating for the Reflex stove were calculated leading to the conclusion that the spec for 1,570lt of diesel with 200lt reserve in the day tank seems more than ample for this design.
The 860lt of waste water tanks are also deliberately generous in an attempt to future-proof the boat against regulations which may get stricter in the future.
Nevertheless, Lynx should still sail well – indeed Owen calculates average speeds of over 8 knots. The sailplan is easy to use short-handed, and includes a carbon mast from which you can set an easily reefed or furled jib or staysail as well as downwind sails.
The raised pilothouse boasts surround visibility, a watch station, pilot berth and wet locker. It has triple glazed windows and is accessed via a watertight door. There is also a workshop and stowage in the extensive forepeak.
From the pilothouse you move down into the lower deck, where the central keel trunk gives separation to the large galley to port and the heads and two person sauna-cum-extra stowage to starboard. There are twin double berth cabins aft and a large open plan saloon forward. This has good natural light and includes a Pullman berth opposite the saloon, plus an office space.
The aluminium structures were fabricated at Koopmans Kosko, Holland and Lynx is now in fit-out stage.

LIBERTAS 15M
‘SAILING AT SEA IS THE ULTIMATE FEELING OF FREEDOM’
Get the ultimate sense of freedom on the most powerful and fastest yacht in our fleet.
Your personal freedom
The honoring of the goddess of liberty began over 2,000 years ago in ancient Rome. To the Romans, liberty meant freedom of action, independence and personal freedom, among other things. Values that are still a vital part of everyday life.
The Sichterman Libertas incorporates all of these elements.
Aluminium Masterpiece
The Libertas’s relatively wide, round-bilge aluminium hull is optimized for a broad speed range. It equals the hard-chine planning hull forms which are most commonly built in this size range in terms of speed, but with a much more economical and comfortable low-speed operation.
Exterior impressions
DESIGNED WITH A PURPOSE
Whether it is the joystick steering option that makes the yacht easy and fun to navigate, the on-board air compressor to inflate toys and equipment, or the private space to freshen up below deck before going on land.
Every detail is designed with a purpose, making the Libertas able to accommodate everything one could wish for. Being able to do so, this all-around functional companion gives its owners the ultimate freedom of choice. The Romans would be proud.
The signature of Cor D. Rover is written clearly on the Libertas, as well as on other Sichterman yachts.
The unique design isn’t only easy on the eyes but serves a purpose as well. It’s functional, safe and brings a smile to every passenger’s face.
The Libertas’s relatively wide, roundbilge hull is optimized for a broad speed range. It equals the hard-chine planning hull forms which are most commonly built in this size range in terms of speed, but with a much more economical and comfortable low-speed operation.
With the optimized hull lines by Van Oossanen, the Libertas is able to achieve speeds up to 40 knots with 2 times IPS 950 installed, making it one of the most fuel-efficient boats to sail the international waters.
The simplicity and effectiveness of the design of the Libertas are the result of hundreds of years of sailing yacht history.
