Erica Rose on Her Second 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Experience and Her Husband's Omelette Drama (EXCLUSIVE)

Published March 14 2022, 12:39 p.m. ET

The third season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht is in full swing, and the drama with the guests is just as compelling as what's going on with the crew.

After their first charter became the most-talked-about one of the spinoff's second season, reality star Erica Rose and her mom, Cindi Rose, returned to Parsifal III in the hopes that they would have a more satisfactory experience by getting a "higher level of service."

While Captain Glenn Shephard and First Mate Gary King were mostly amused at the prospect of Erica and Cindi returning, Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher quickly made her disappointment known when she referred to the charter group as "disrespectful, exhausting, emotionally draining," and "unpredictable."

Though Cindi and Erica did return, the rest of their group was new to Parsifal III . The Bachelor alum's husband, Charles "Chuck" Sanders, two friends, and another couple made their Below Deck Sailing Yacht debut on the March 7 episode.

With Erica and Cindi's new group of guests and a mostly new crew, there was hope that things would go more smoothly than they did in Season 2. However, it didn't take long for the charter to go off the rails (or sails, so to speak).

Since the first part of their charter is getting a lot of attention online, Erica spoke with Distractify to clear up a few misconceptions about what happened, and to discuss why her second time on the show wasn't a "pleasant experience." Plus, she also shared why she was surprised by Daisy's strong reaction to her return.

Erica Rose on returning to 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' with her husband, Charles Sanders, and the omelette drama.

Though her first charter wasn't fully up to her standards, Erica said that she wanted to return to the show in Season 3 because her daughters were a bit older, she was feeling more confident with herself, and she thought that there would be less drama if she brought her husband along, instead of doing another girls' trip. She was hopeful that it would be a more "positive experience" the second time around — but things didn't exactly go to plan.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Erica Rose 🌹 Sanders (@ericatherose)

"I really did not come in with a dramatic intention," Erica said to Distractify , before adding that most of the drama came from her husband and her mom.

"People are kind of blaming me for it. To me, that's a little unfair, because you can only control your own actions. Of course, I can never control my mom, and I can't control my husband either," she added. "And this was his first time on reality TV."

Because she had raved to her husband about Chef Natasha de Bourg's food after her first stint on Parsifal III (and Erica and Charles had actually eaten the chef's food several times after the show), Erica realized that they would be "picky" about new Chef Marcos Spaziani's meals, since he has a completely different cooking style.

At the end of the March 7 episode, ahead of their beach brunch, Charles ordered an omelette from the chef. He sent back the first one because it had tomatoes, and was ultimately unsatisfied with the chef's second egg offering. Charles went on to say that he was "disgusted" by the breakfast, and that he had eaten "better food at the ballpark."

Charles "Chuck" Sanders and Erica Rose Sanders

"There was no need for Chuck to be that dramatic about eggs. I've seen him eat a lot grosser things before... It was a bit much," Erica said about her husband's strong reaction at the end of the episode. "I don't think it's funny, I don't think it captures who he is. I don't think he would do that if it wasn't a television show."

Erica said that her husband, who is also her law partner at Rose Sanders PLLC, played it up for the cameras. Charles, who majored in theatre in college, took the experience as a pseudo-acting role (though Erica noted that nothing was scripted, she did say that guests are encouraged to vocalize their complaints).

"It was his moment in the sun," Erica said about Charles' reality TV debut. "I was just in a good place and I wanted to be peaceful compared to last time, but he's his own person. That's just what he felt like doing. And he's excited by it."

Though Erica and Charles have received many negative comments on social media about their Below Deck Sailing Yacht appearance, the latter spouse is choosing to solely look at the positive — which is that their law firm is getting a lot of searches online.

Erica herself gets why viewers are saying certain things about her group, but she thinks that they should keep in mind that the yachties themselves are often looking to engage in the drama, too.

"People also have to remember that these are not just people who work on yachts... These people are also reality stars. They're feeding off of the drama too," Erica said. "The producers don't just take yacht employees, like they look for a cast that is going to play into stuff, make good ratings, etc."

The lawyer touched on Daisy's "animosity," and whether she would do another charter on Parsifal III.

Erica's initial Below Deck Sailing Yacht experience may have fallen short, but she thought that she'd left the vessel on positive terms with Daisy the first time around. The two even interacted with one another on social media a few times after filming, so Erica was surprised when she heard what Daisy had to say about her and her husband on the show, and in her confessionals.

"We did keep in touch throughout, and I have no idea where the animosity came from," Erica shared.

Daisy called Charles "uncultured, unmannered, [and] untraveled" in her interview chair, and she had a strong message for him in the closing seconds of the March 7 episode.

"Chuck, go f--k yourself," Daisy said about the lawyer.

The You're Cut Off star knew that Daisy had said things about her first charter being high-maintenance, but she thought that it was because of her group, not her.

"I just really didn't anticipate negativity because Daisy wasn't personally negative at me the first time. She said our group of friends was a lot to handle, and I totally understand that," Erica added. "But I didn't expect the personal attacks."

Though Erica's Season 3 charter is continuing to be a hot topic of conversation, her second appearance on the show will likely be her last.

"Definitely not on the sailing yacht, no..." Erica said about whether she would return to Below Deck Sailing Yacht in the future. "It wasn't a very pleasant experience. I just 100 percent wouldn't do that one again."

New episodes of Below Deck Sailing Yacht air on Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo. You can also stream the series on Peacock.

Erica Rose Apologizes After Disastrous Below Deck Sailing Yacht Episode

By Alex Darus

Even though the stars of Below Deck Sailing Yacht are obviously the yachties, the guests play an important supporting role. It’s not often that we remember the names of guests beyond each individual season of Below Deck , but there are exceptions. A few guests have so much fun, they can’t help but come back for another charter. Sometimes, it’s a good thing when the clients are polite and good tippers. Oftentimes, the pendulum swings in the opposite direction, to the dismay of Captain Glenn Shephard and the crew.

The current season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht had a recent experience of the latter. Erica Rose is a vet of Sailing Yacht . She is best remembered for her Donald Trump -inspired bathing suit during her first charter.  That, and for her friends who got into an epic girl fight. This go around, she opted for a Joe Biden suit, so she doesn’t discriminate. While her antics are entertaining, she and her guests usually create a living hell for the crew assigned to take care of them.

Erica and her team recently returned to Below Deck Sailing Yacht and it was nothing short of a mess . Her husband threw a drunken temper tantrum about the food that was downright insulting to Marcos Spaziani. Her guests left a tornado where ever they went, and Daisy Kelliher and her stews were constantly cleaning up after them. In the end, Erica and the crew didn’t even give a good tip. It was clearly wrong to both the crew and the viewers, and now Erica is publically apologizing.

Erica decided to post an Instagram video poking fun at her behavior onboard Parsifal III. It was in the style of her dancing over audio of someone apologizing. She wrote in the caption that we don’t know “the half of it,” even though we can all obviously see she only gave half of the tip that was owed. And that her boo only has half a brain (at least, that’s how he was acting).

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Erica took to Twitter to try to explain more. In one tweet, she points out that Below Deck Sailing Yacht isn’t a scripted show. “My hubby chose to act the way he did and wasn’t told to. We take accountability. Onwards and upwards,” she wrote. Girl, did your husband take any accountability? Because all I saw was a group of people enabling an adult-sized child. Make it make sense.

When it comes to the tip situation, Erica didn’t do herself any more favors in her explainer. In another tweet , she decided to “tip/recognize certain people more.” She specifically shouted out Tom Pearson and Kelsie Goglia . Why? Your guess is as good as mine. The real question is whether Erica actually did tip those two more, or if she was just announcing her regret. I cannot with any more of this nonsense. Erica and her gang are entertaining, but Bravo needs to give these yachties a break by not having to deal with her for one charter season.

TELL US – WHAT DO YOU THINK OF ERICA’S APOLOGY? DO YOU THINK SHE AND HER HUSBAND ACTUALLY TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY?

'Below Deck Sailing Yacht': 'Bachelor' Alum Erica Rose Catches Alli Gossiping About Her Chatty Mom (Exclusive)

Erica Rose is looking for some drama on Below Deck Sailing Yacht

In ET's 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' sneak peek, charter guest/'Bachelor' alum Erica Rose walks in on the stews talking about her mom.

Once a reality star, always a drama queen? Viewers will find out this week on  Below Deck Sailing Yacht , as  The Bachelor   alum/primary charter guest Erica Rose seems out to start something with the crew. To back up a little, Erica's mom/co-primary, Cindi, requested a massage from chief stewardess Daisy Kelliher. It's not a request the crew gets often, but thankfully third stew Alli Dore "did massage for a whole year at beauty school" and is ready to "wing it."

"As a yachtie, you work so hard," she says in a confessional. "You know, you put up with a fair bit of s**t. I don't really like giving massages, but at least Cindi's gonna be happy." In the last episode, Alli endured quite the with Cindi, who watched as Alli unpacked her belongings and put them away. As Alli worked, Cindi shared an extreme amount of details about her personal life, including her history in teaching mime, ventriloquism and puppetry.  "It'll probably be the fastest hour of my life, 'cause she'll probably just chat the whole time," Alli cracks to Daisy, just as Erica emerges from the guest quarters.

"I heard you guys talking," Erica coos in her signature, sing-song-y voice, to which Alli replies, "Just joking around!" before scurrying down to Cindi's room to complete the massage. Meanwhile, Erica heads out onto the deck to announce to the rest of the charter what she just encountered... even though all she heard was Alli saying, "It'll probably be the fastest hour of my life, 'cause she'll probably just chat the whole time."

Watch it all unfold here:

"I was just really annoyed about something," she announces to both no one and everyone. "I heard Alli gossiping about my mom." "I wouldn't like that, I'll be honest," one of Erica's pals replies. "Even if my mom is being over the top and everything, I don't want to hear anybody bad-mouth my mother."

Fans will have to tune in to see how Erica handles the situation/non-situation, but Daisy did tell ET that Erica and co. were one of the tougher charters in season 2.

"It's definitely up there with Barrie's charter," Daisy said, referencing the very demanding primary from a few trips earlier, who was vacationing with his ex-husband and their respective new beaus. "[If] you're going to put a big group of strong women there amongst the mix of the crew, yeah, it's going to equal drama. It was hard. It wasn't easy. It was a tough charter, and I will definitely say it's up there with them. They were definitely the most interesting and challenging charters." "Maybe there was an element that they wanted screen time," she remarked, "but I also did see with all the guests, not just these two groups, a lot of heated arguments, drunken moments, that you don't see that didn't make the show on. I think the pressures of COVID, I think the pressures of a lot of alcohol... sometimes the dynamics were a bit weird. Because of COVID, only certain people could fly over, so they were pulling these strange groups together. Maybe they wanted a bit of TV time, but I also think that there was actually quite a bit of real, genuine drama there, as well."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht  airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.

‘below deck sailing yacht’ guest erica rose: gary is ‘too good’ for daisy.

A split of "Below Deck Sailing Yacht" stars Gary King and Daisy Kelliher with an inset of charter guest Erica Rose

“Below Deck Sailing Yacht” guest Erica Rose does not ship Gary King and Daisy Kelliher.

In fact, Rose — who appeared on “BDSY” Season 2 and came back for a second charter on Monday night’s episode — exclusively tells Page Six that she thinks King is “too good” for “two-faced” Kelliher.

“Gary could do so much better,” says Rose, 37, who maintained a friendly relationship with the handsome first mate in between seasons.

“All the girls on the boat were interested in him — even my friends. Gary’s a really great guy and Daisy is just not a really great person. She’s actually really two-faced.”

Rose — who reality TV fans may recognize from her explosive stint on “The Bachelor” Season 9 in 2006 and subsequent spinoffs — tells Page Six that she believes chief stew Kelliher, 34, only hooked up with King, 33, to get a rise out of co-star and third stew Ashley Marti.

Erica Rose posing on a boat

“You could just tell she really loved watching Ashley get jealous and I truly think that’s part of the reason she decided to hook up with Gary,” says the Texas-based attorney.

“Ashley told me that she was into Gary before he even kissed Daisy, so it seems like that was part of her motivation to go after Gary. She didn’t want Ashley to have that type of attention. She likes being the queen of the boat.”

Rose says that she finds Kelliher to be “really desperate for any kind of attention” and suspects that her pursuit of King was also “for ratings and to be relevant” on the reality show.

“Gary and Daisy are just two very different people,” she says. “Gary is not a fame whore.”

Rose says King had purer intentions while exploring a romance with Kelliher. Still, the Bachelor Nation alum surmises that Kelliher was nothing more than a “rebound” for King after his relationship with Alli Dore fizzled out last season.

“When I got on the boat, I asked Gary, ‘Oh, are you interested in any of the girls?’ And he’s like, ‘You know what? I’m still really heartbroken over Alli,’” she claims of a conversation that didn’t air.

King and Kelliher, seen here with chef Marcos Spaziani, share a steamy hot tub makeout session later this season.

Rose feels as though King became intimate with Kelliher simply because of her proximity to Dore, her best friend and “Pita Party” podcast co-host . (These days, Dore is happily coupled up with boyfriend Benny Thompson, with whom she shares 6-month-old son River.)

“I could tell he really loved Alli last season and he was vulnerable and admitted that he couldn’t commit to a new relationship because he was really heartbroken over her,” Rose says.

“And he knows that Daisy’s one of her close friends, so maybe he felt like hooking up with her would bring him closer to Alli?”

For their part, Kelliher and King — who share a steamy hot tub makeup session later this season — explained their dynamic while chatting with Page Six last month.

“We kind of hate each other, but we love each other,” Kelliher said at the time. “So sometimes you’re a bit like, ‘Oh, well, maybe we should just make out.’ And afterwards you’re like, ‘Oh, no, we should never do that again.’ So it was complicated for us … I think it was all a bit of a rollercoaster.”

Added King, “I think Daisy and I’ve always had this like underlying thing for each other. Maybe that’s just from my part, I don’t know.”

But Rose warns King to “stay away” from Kelliher as the lawyer says she’s been burned by the Bravolebrity herself.

Despite Kelliher calling Rose’s return to “BDSY” the “worst news ever” — Rose is infamous for her exacting standards — the latter TV personality claims that the women remained close over social media after her first on-camera voyage.

Charles Sanders and Erica Rose posing on a yacht

“I was on Season 2 with a group of my girlfriends. We left them the biggest tip of the season. Not only that, Daisy kept in touch with me throughout the year on Instagram,” Rose says. “She would say things, like, ‘Wow, girl, you’ve lost so much weight. I need to lose weight. I’m gaining weight. Help me,’ and things like that.”

Then, just weeks ago, Kelliher blocked Rose on Instagram.

“It was so random,” Rose says. “But now it’s clear to me that she just didn’t want me to catch anything she has been saying about me over the last few weeks. She wants to paint me as this bad guy of ‘Below Deck’ and I don’t know why, but I think it’s time she looked in the mirror.”

“Below Deck Sailing Yacht” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.

Parsifal III: Meet the charter star of Below Deck's sailing yacht spin-off

This week, producers have confirmed season five of hit reality TV show Below Deck Sailing Yacht will return to screens on 7 October for more crew drama and on-the-water antics. Set on the Balearic island of Ibiza, the series will again feature the 54-metre Perini Navi superyacht Parsifal III with Captain Glenn Shephard at the helm. In anticipation of the series' return, BOAT reflects on an interview with her owner Kim Vibe-Petersen , who unpacked the realities of filming a reality TV series on board his boat ahead of season three.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is a spin-off series of the hit superyacht reality TV show Below Deck that follows the lives of the crew and guests across an eight-week charter season. For Danish owner Kim Vibe-Petersen, Parsifal III' s return is yet another opportunity to show off the yacht's charter credentials.

Vibe-Petersen was personally approached by Below Deck producers in 2018 after they struggled to find a suitable sailing yacht. Parsifal III fitted the bill as she was already equipped for charter and a number of her existing crew were willing to take part in the show.

The Perini Navi sailing yacht first hit the water in 2005 and rose to instant fame scoring a number of prestigious accolades including a coveted Neptune at the World Superyacht Awards . On her launch, she also joined the ranks as one of the fast Perini Navi superyachts on the water with a top speed of 18 knots under full sail granted by two high-tech carbon masts, automated in-boom furling and a winged keel.

Vibe-Petersen admitted there were some yacht owners who didn’t want the names of their yachts connected with the drama-filled reality show, but he "didn’t have that concern." Although he had the option to change the yacht’s name for filming, he decided to keep it to maximise the charter appeal of  Parsifal III .

"It’s free advertising," he said. "The name of the yacht will come to people’s minds, especially to someone who has never chartered a yacht before. They will see that name and know the boat from the show."

Vibe-Petersen was also keen to secure a guaranteed packed charter schedule during low season. "I think there were a lot of boats that did not want to be chartered for the show but it's good money in the bank," he said.

While admitting he might not be the "specific audience targeted by the series," he said he has sat down to watch the first series, which took place in Corfu. Even in Vibe-Peterson’s home country of Denmark, the US show has gained a big following.

"This is the kind of show where they want to make a little drama," he added. "It’s not that wild on board a normal charter." The conveyor belt of colourful guests are chosen by the production team and given a "big discount" for appearing on the show.

Vibe-Petersen also explained the complicated logistics of filming Below Deck , each season of which features 16 charters filmed across a period of eight weeks. This means that two groups of guests separately charter the yacht in a single week. Meanwhile, the production team require a time period of at least a week to get  Parsifal III  rigged up and fit for filming. "There are 30 people on board each day with lots of wires and cameras – it’s a big, big operation."

Season one was filmed in Corfu, Greece, which posed a number of challenges for  Parsifal III as the sailing yacht was required to have a specific charter licence. "It’s pretty tough to get that," said Vibe-Petersen. "It’s not something we can do within a short amount of time. It can take 10 to 12 weeks to get a charter licence so it takes time."

For her second season, Parsifal III was filmed cruising Croatia's 3,600 miles of coastline. For season three, the show follows Parsifal III as she cruises around the Spanish island of Menorca, carrying a mix of new and old crew.

Season five of Below Deck Sailing Yacht will feature returning department heads chief stew Daisy Kelliher and first mate Gary King, while chef Cloyce Martin, chief engineer Davide Morosi, stews Diana Cruz and Danni Warren, and deckhands Keith Allen and Emma Crouch are amongst the new crew members.

Parsifal III is managed for charter by Camper & Nicholsons with a weekly charter rate starting from €245,000.

Below Deck's Kate Chastain Offers A Shocking Response To Chef Ben Robinson's Surprising Relationship Update

10 notorious banned tv episodes, from friends to bluey, 10 great movie remakes that should have been terrible.

The reality TV franchise Below Deck is set on a luxury yacht, with a crew expected to provide demanding and obscenely wealthy guests with everything they ask for during their short stints at sea. Viewers also watch the crew members cut loose and relax between sailings. The best Below Deck seasons include a balance of smooth sailing and drama. Nowadays, the series has multiple spinoffs, which follow the same theme, with just as many fun (but sometimes troubling) guests.

After dealing with guests, the crew must find time to relax before the next charter. From drunken, boorish behavior to guests who make impossible requests (and some who don’t know how to take no for an answer), the Below Deck franchise shows that working on a luxury yacht is not exactly a dream job . While guests' antics don't come close to the most shocking Below Deck moments , they can definitely cause a stir.

12 Chelsea and Michael Gonella

Below deck (season 9, episode 9).

Chelsea and Michael incurred problems before even boarding the ship. On season 9 of Below Deck , Chelsea was introduced to the crew as a passenger still recovering from oral surgery. Chelsea had recently injured herself from a bicycle accident and arrived with her jaw wired shut. While many fans initially empathized with the woman, her attitude and entitlement put many audience members off .

During her time with the crew, Chelsea insisted that every course would be blended and then strained to her liking. This included seafood. Rather than settling for blended smoothie alternatives, Chelsea opted to have her oysters and lobsters blended for her. Fans crowded to Reddit to share their disgust with the liquidized concoctions and her overall demeanor. Several claim to have undergone the same procedure but stated that they would have never thrown the same tantrum over meals.

Below Deck (Season 8, Episode 11)

In season 8, a guest named Delores had far too much to drink after a day on the water and was very tired when dinner ended. However, instead of calling it a night, Delores kept the party going by attempting a late-night swim. Delores’ friends (and the crew) warned her that she wasn't allowed to swim in the ocean at night, as it was a safety hazard.

Captain Lee Rosbach stepped in and warned her that he'd send her home if she jumped in the water. To spite them all, Delores ignored everyone and dove into the ocean. In the process, Dolores managed to put herself at risk while ruining the experience of everyone around her. The following day, Captain Lee sent Delores packing. However, she proceeded to jump off the mini boat to shore . Dramatic times like this make Below Deck one of the best reality shows .

Below Deck (Season 7, Episode 3)

A season 7 episode nearly ended in disaster after one of the guests had far too much to drink on Below Deck . Charter guest Brandy seemed to have already had a few drinks when she boarded the yacht, and when the group later went ashore for a picnic, the crew became so concerned about her well being that they took her back to the ship for medical treatment . Meanwhile, the group that accompanied Brandi on the trip seemed to be more worried about the inconvenience her drunkenness would cause them.

It was a moment that separated Below Deck from other reality TV shows because of how dangerous the situation could have been. There are plenty of scripted scenes on Below Deck, but this situation was not one of them. Like Delores, Brandy was a demanding charter guest because of her negligence and stress-inducing behavior.

9 Nichelle Gainey And Areca Whatmore

Below deck mediterranean (season 3, episode 2).

Friends Nichelle Gainey and Areca Whatmore made quite an impression on the crew when they boarded the Talisman Maiton on Below Deck Mediterranean. Perhaps the two women were not used to the finer things in life, but their outraged reaction to being served pasta in bowls instead of plates was just the start of their confrontations with the crew. They even escalated their complaints to Captain Sandy, who had more important things to worry about than whether someone’s wine glass was empty or the dish their pasta was served in.

Following the bowl fiasco and several aggressive complaints hurled at the crew members, stewardess Hannah was forced to apologize to the group. After begrudgingly accepting Hannah's apology, the group continued to make the next dinner as unbearable as possible. Captain Sandy sat in on this dinner to ensure their satisfaction. The women were served lobster, and a guest, who expressed dislike for shellfish, complained when she was served duck instead. The captain, who is quick to defend guests, did the unthinkable: she came to the rescue of Hannah, proving that Hannah was not at fault.

8 Steve Bradley

Below deck (season 3, episode 1).

Steve Bradley was one of a handful of guests who made two appearances on Below Deck , first in season 3 when he demanded that the crew throw him and his friends a foam party, and again in season 6 when he continued to make outrageous demands of the team , who found it challenging to deal with his rowdy behavior. While the crew, tending to his every need, may have suffered from his visit, audiences couldn’t help but laugh at his constant state of insobriety and raucous personality.

Steve even insisted, after discovering that Aerosmith was in the area, that the crew track him down. There didn’t seem to be an afterthought after blurting out this request. Unfortunately, he was also one of the series' most flirty guests, which always results in a problematic charter. While he wasn’t the worst Below Deck guest, he was undoubtedly one of the most demanding and unpredictable clients Captain Lee and his team had to deal with.

7 The Florida State Alumni Crew

Below deck (season 7, episode 7).

In season 7, friends who met at Florida State in their younger years hopped on the yacht for pirate-themed nights and to relive their college days. The friends proceeded to make the crew members’ lives as difficult as possible with inappropriate comments and absurd demands. The few members of the group were so obnoxious and rude to the crew that stewardess Kate commented:

"Anybody who is still talking about college peaked in college, and that's embarrassing."

Unfortunately, the charter guest, Michael, was inappropriate from the start. He began flirting with stewardess Simone and continued making advances towards her, regardless of how uncomfortable she was. Kate Chastain eventually stepped in and put Simone below deck to get her out of an unpleasant situation she should have never been in. The guest’s behavior crossed a line, taking a college reunion from a fun trip to a situation bordering on harassment. The uncomfortable dynamics make him one of the worst.

6 Charley Walters

Below deck (season 8, episode 14).

Demanding guest Charley Walters had a penchant for making the male crew members dress up in tiny Speedos while serving dinner and drinks. Charlie even had the chef running around in circles trying to meet all his exacting demands. By his third appearance, Charley had gotten accustomed to the chief stewardess, Kate Chastain, and her ability to bend to his will. Unfortunately for chef Francesca Rubi, this was her first time on the boat and his demands were all too much. The same was true for all other crew members outside Captain Lee and bosun Eddie Lucas.

Tensions rose so high that new chef Rachel was brought to tears by the problematic guest. Walters later claimed on social media that producers told him to be over the top. Many fans have difficulty shifting the blame to the producers. A guest needs to perform outrageous acts for the footage to exist. A fine line exists between entertaining and being so demanding that professionals have difficulty doing their jobs.

5 Simon Tusha

Below deck (season 1, episode 4).

Simon Tusha, the owner of the company that provided the luxury yachts for the Below Deck series, was featured as a guest in season 1, and his behavior went down like a lead balloon with the crew. Unsurprisingly, when he arrived, he maintained an air of superiority over those around him. Taking advantage of his position and monetary success, he crossed boundaries by making inappropriate comments to female crew members and being rude to Kate.

Worst of all, chief stewardess Adrienne Gang refused to support her crew, insisting they had to get used to Simon’s sense of humor. According to The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette , after the episode aired, Tusha was sentenced to 21 months in jail for his part in a bribery case. His entire persona on deck matched what was said about him in court, making him one of the show’s more controversial guests.

4 Charles Yim

Below deck (season 6, episode 5).

According to Cheat Sheet , Below Deck guest Charles Yim claimed the show made his stay on the yacht look worse than it was. Yim and his guests certainly made the most of their time on the My Seanna , and perhaps the most shocking moment was when the crew found a used condom in the living area .

Charles, the inventor of the Breathometer, had an incredibly negative reaction to the episode and claimed that the condom was planted. He believes the show fabricated scenes because he and his group were “ too boring .” He also went out of his way to complain about several crew members including second stew Josiah Carter and chief stew Kate Chastain. Regarding the condom, the entrepreneur heavily implied that the crew member who found it, Caroline, was not invited to return for the next season. The charter was overall an awkward experience for everyone involved.

3 Erica Rose and Charles Sanders

Below deck (season 3, episode 4).

When former Bachelor star Erica Rose first appeared on Below Deck during season 2, she was initially criticized for her unruly and aggressive guests. When returning with her husband Charles Sanders, audiences were shocked by their treatment of staff and their meager tip . Surprisingly, Charles Sanders proved to be the most troublesome guest. Charles proceeded to complain about the food calling it “ gross ” and redirected his hate at a fellow guest Janelle, calling her a “ b**** .”

After causing copious drama and exhausting the crew, Erica Rose left the staff a minuscule tip . Many fans point out that Rose’s tip was the smallest in the show’s history. In an interview with RealityBlurb , Erica was quick to defend her and her husband’s actions. She claimed that while she has been in the public eye, her husband did not know how to ask appropriately. Erica indicated that the show pushed the couple to amp up the drama and that her husband was simply trying to entertain. Many viewers rejected her vague apology with overwhelmingly negative comments.

2 Krystal Murphy

Below deck (season 6, episode 15).

Cyndi Lauper sang, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun , " but investment banker Krystal Murphy and her friends said girls want copious amounts of alcohol and fistfights with each other. After over-indulging in cocktails and wine, the primary charter guest fell asleep at the dinner table before punching one of her friends in the face . Following an alcohol-induced collapse, Krystal was wrapped in a blanket that chief stewardess Kate Chastain fondly referred to as her “ shame cocoon ” and then awakened by a friend. She proceeded to attack this friend and proceed the next morning as if nothing had happened.

She made outrageous demands throughout the trip, leading one of Below Deck 's best chief stews , Kate, to label her a “ spoiled brat. ” Since the show aired, she has remained private on social media. While public backlash has been heavy, Krystal has yet to make a statement regarding her less-than-favorable portrayal. She will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the most obnoxious Below Deck guests ever.

1 Timothy Sykes

Below deck (season 2, episode 10).

According to Cheat Sheet , when Captain Lee was asked about the worst Below Desk guest, he didn’t hesitate with his answer: Timothy Sykes, the entrepreneur with a much younger girlfriend who spent the whole trip complaining that there was no Wi-Fi and that the kitchen crew was ignoring all their particular food requests.

To make things worse, Timothy handed over a $17,000 tip at the end of the trip but then asked Captain Lee to give him back $5,000 because his girlfriend didn’t like the food. His girlfriend looked visibly embarrassed by this indiscretion. Most fans who have worked in customer service recoiled at the awkwardness of this scene. In the service industry, there's nothing worse than having to give money back to a guest. For this reason, Sykes takes the cake as the worst guest in Below Deck history.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Seaon 5 trailer teases a Daisy romance, less Gary, no Colin, major firing, and more

Daisy Kelliher on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5

Finally, after months of waiting for Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 news, we have it, and it’s good.

Bravo released the highly anticipated trailer for the sailing show, along with a premiere date.

The last season fractured the friendships of Daisy Kelliher , Gary King, and Colin MacRae, who all helped make Below Deck Sailing Yacht a mega-hit show.

Colin isn’t back for another season, but Gary and Daisy are, with the past season impacting their working environment.

Aside from the Gary and Daisy drama, we see Captain Glenn Shephard, like never before, losing his s**t on the crew more than once for very good reasons.

The Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 trailer

Daisy is the focal point of the trailer, as it seems the powers that be are making her the star in the aftermath of the sexual misconduct scandal allegations against Gary.

The chief stew finds herself hooking up with a deckhand that could be more than just a boatmance.

It seems that the new chef is going to be a major problem on Season 5. Daisy and the chef butt heads when she refuses to serve his food because, well, it looks like crap.

The party vibe of Ibiza brings many challenges for Captain Glenn and his crew. Not only with unruly guests but also the crew crossing the line by partying with guests.

Captain Glenn sets ground rules for the crew, which are ignored, leading to him unleashing his fury on them. The captain even wakes up the crew at one point after a disastrous crew night out.

Other teasers include another near-boat crash for Parsifal III that makes it seem like Gary may be the one who saves the day. Speaking of Gary, he’s in the trailer, but there’s definitely less of him, and not a single Gary hook-up is featured.

What is featured is a fire, a bloody nose, plenty of drunk falls, and Captain Glenn firing someone. The way it’s set up, too, the teaser definitely wants us to think Captain Glenn fires Daisy or Gary.

He’s a predator & he does not belong on TV reaping all the benefits with free booze! So Bravo has put in place safeguards to protect others from sexual harassment, abuse, etc. but is going to let that drunk predator Gary King stay on? NO!!! He’s gotten away with this for a few years and he needs to be stopped!!! Do Better Bravo!!! I won’t be watching! He’s whining & crying on social media.
