First superyacht of 2023 arrives in Spain’s Malaga port
A €160 million megayacht has arrived in Malaga port.
The megayacht ‘Vava II’, property of Ernesto Bertarelli, a Swiss-Italian billionaire has arrived at Malaga port and becomes the first Superyacht to berth in Malaga waters this year, 2023.
The luxurious 96-metre vessel, built in 2012 at the British shipyard Devonport Yachts, boasts an exterior design by the British firm Redman Whiteley Dixon, while its interiors are the work of French designer Remi Tessler, who specialises in large yacht interiors.
With a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, this 3,933-tonne yacht, which carries 34 crew, can accommodate a maximum of 22 passengers in 16 cabins and is one of only 34 yachts in her size range.
This vessel, flying the flag of the Cayman Islands, completes its second visit to Malaga after having made its debut to the Capital of the Costa del Sol in August 2016.
Hooked on sailing from a very young age, the owner of this luxurious Superyacht, Bertarelli, founded the yachting team Alinghi, and they won the America cup in 2013.
The Swiss-Italian entrepreneur, active in the fields of business, finance, sport, is also a philanthropist, having started foundations with his family to aid research in several different medical fields, such as both male and female infertility and reproduction.

Vava II: What makes the UK’s largest yacht an all-time great
- Superyachts
The largest yacht ever built at a British yard, Vava II features beautiful exterior styling that makes her look sleek and elegant despite her length...
Despite her status as the largest superyacht ever built at a British yard, Vava II’s owner-inspired exterior styling by Redman Whiteley Dixon is not only beautiful but makes the yacht look balanced and sleek.
She’s mainly a yacht of straight lines – the plumb bow, the angle of the superstructure and transom aft to the water, the vertical windows forward – but the sudden kinks of the top deck are a devilish touch.
The interior is by Rémi Tessier. The yacht, refitted at Amels in 2015, has been a regular in cruising hotspots around the world – and she spent the summer of 2016 cruising the Mediterranean.

“Conceived as a ‘world travelling yacht’, Vava II has exceeded expectations in her extended travels to remote locations and such geographically diverse places as the Indian Ocean islands, Indonesia, Alaska, Polynesia, Patagonia and Antarctica, travelling more than 100,000 nautical miles in a little over four years since delivery,” says Captain Richard Bridge.
“The helicopter deck has been used extensively for the embarked Eurocopter AS350B3 for a mix of transfers, sightseeing, heli-skiing and fishing trips, as well as numerous scientific missions. It will shortly be strengthened to be able to operate the larger twin-engined EC 145 T2.
“The main-deck salon with its glass sliding wall opening to become a part of the main-deck aft pool area has proved extremely popular and gives an option of opening the whole indoor/outdoor area for events and parties.
“Another area that has been used extensively is the expansive beach club – adding a large additional deck space, as well as a platform from which to operate the selection of tenders on board.
“The tender garages themselves have doubled as logistics platforms when operating in remote areas such as the Antarctic peninsula and during scientific missions in the Indian Ocean.”
Where is she now? Cruising privately.

The 47.30 metre (155’2”ft) custom-built Vava yacht was launched in 1996 by Dutch shipyard Feadship and features a sophisticated exterior style by De Voogt Naval Architects, the in-house design studio who were also responsible for the naval architecture and layout on board.
The Robert de Nijs interior flows through the layout offering ample accommodation for 13 guests in both style and comfort. Vava, built with steel hull and aluminium superstructure, is an immaculately maintained, stable, superyacht with a highly-skilled staff of 11 yacht crew adding the dimension of unrivalled service for those on board.
Refitted in 2005, the sophisticated exterior reflects the unbridled elegance on board, offering characteristic Feadship style wrapped around large volumes thanks to a beam of 8.70 metres (28’6”ft). Underway, guests can enjoy al-fresco dining and relaxation on the sun deck across the huge exterior spaces as well as true day-to-day comfort within for longer crossings. Capable of travelling at a top speed of 16 knots, Vava can take those on board across the water with low noise, vibration and total seakeeping ability.

In pratica, aveva bilanci falsi.

Featuring elegance and ease of transportation as its distinctive characteristics, Iseo superyacht tender , a 27 foot runabout, is destined to become a must-have for those who love cruising on both lakes and the sea, and, most importantly, design enthusiasts. It is also perfect for anyone wishing to enhance their yacht with an exclusive tender that will never go unnoticed.

Besides the electrohydraulic bimini top, it was also designed with a waterproof, automobile-style soft top which protects those on board against water and the wind during cruising.
