Review of a Disney’s Beach Club One Bedroom DVC Villa

While Disney World offers a vast variety of different resorts to choose from for guests staying on property, the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Villas offer even more options and experiences, particularly when it comes to room sizes! During my last few trips to Disney World, I had the opportunity to enjoy stays at several different DVC Villas; but today, I’m zeroing in on Disney’s Beach Club Villas in this  review of a Disney’s Beach Club One Bedroom DVC Villa.

First of all, the Disney Vacation Club is Disney’s own timeshare program where members purchase and use points for their vacation experiences. It can be difficult to understand, but  Disney Vacation Club (DVC) 101: What is DVC?  can help fill in the gaps. If you are not a Disney Vacation Club Member, the good news is that you can still stay at a DVC Resort! You can do so by booking through Disney, just as you would any other resort; however, other guests like to  rent points  or even buy points from other members, but you definitely want to make sure that the seller is legitimate and reliable.

Earlier this year, my family and I booked a stay at one bedroom DVC Villa at Disney’s Beach Club. This resort is very popular and has one of the best locations at Disney World in that it’s next door to its sister resort, the Yacht Club , as well as the Swan and Dolphin Resort. Across the water, there is the Boardwalk Inn Resort and the Boardwalk itself with it’s dining, shopping, and live entertainment to take advantage of. But wait! It’s get even better! The Beach Club is also a short walk from Epcot, and a somewhat longer walk, or boat ride, to Hollywood Studios. In fact, during my stay, I could see the fireworks from Epcot’s Illuminations from the Beach Club grounds.

The Beach Club features a light and airy, beach theme with a vintage flair. Pastels and little seaside details can be found all throughout the resort, from the carpets to the light fixtures; but one of the things the Beach Club is most known for is it’s pool, Stormalong Bay. Many say it is the best pool on Disney World property and I would agree!

The smallest villa offered at the Beach Club Villas is a Deluxe Villa, which sleeps up to four adults. It’s similar to a standard resort room, just with more amenities. The next size villa is a one bedroom, which is what I’m focusing on today. This villa can also sleep up to four adults, but it offers more space than a Deluxe Villa. Finally, the largest villa offered at the Beach Club is a two bedroom villa, which can sleep up to eight adults.

My family and I had stayed at the Beach Club before, but never in a villa so we were excited to enjoy a whole new experience at this gorgeous resort.

The first thing I discovered upon arriving at the Beach Club is that the Beach Club Villas are located in a separate building. I wasn’t so sure if I would like the idea of being separate from the main lobby, restaurants, and gift shop; but the villas were connected to the main building by a very short, covered walkway. I can honestly say that throughout our week-long stay, I never felt removed or isolated at all.

Also, this separate building that housed the villas was like a whole other hotel. There was a mini-lobby, plus a beautiful sitting room, and a pool, all with the Beach Club’s trademark style. I felt like I had two Beach Club Resorts to enjoy with this set-up instead of one!

In order to get to the paved paths or boat launch to Hollywood Studios or Epcot, we would have to take the path connecting the villas to the main resort, walk through the lobby, and then out the back door facing the Boardwalk. My family and I enjoyed being greeted by Cast Members in the main building, and the view of the lake and Boardwalk as we came out the door was like something from postcard. The scenery and convenience really sets the Beach Club apart from other Disney Resorts and is one of the many reasons why I love staying here!

However, if we wanted to hop on a bus, we had to go through the resort’s main door, pass the bell hops, and down the covered walkway. That route proved to a little bit of a hike, but definitely better than some of the treks we’ve taken at moderate or value resorts. There may have been a shorter route, but this is what we could find. Fortunately, during our stay, we didn’t have to rely upon the bus transportation much.

Right outside the villa entrance we found this statue of Ariel, from The Little Mermaid , which was quite appropriate since the Beach Club is a seaside resort. I appreciate when Disney weaves Disney characters and films into the resorts in a subtle way so that both kids and adults appreciate their resort. This is also a great spot for a photo-op!

Let’s head inside for the tour…

Don’t you just love the doors to each villa? I want one of these doors for my house.

Just inside the door to our one bedroom villa was this little entry table and mirror. This is where we kept our MagicBands and sunglasses so we wouldn’t forget them before heading out the door.

Living Space

The living space of our one bedroom villa consisted of a full kitchen and living room, plus a bench seat and table. This floor plan is typical of most Disney Villas. The couch folds out into a bed and the balcony had space for a small table and two chairs. My favorite detail was the cute lighthouse lamp on the far table and the rustic trunk which served as a coffee table.

The entertainment center in the living room featured a flat screen television and a DVD player. Most standard rooms at Disney World resorts do not have DVD players, so this was a fun extra for our villa experience and something we didn’t have during our previous stay in the main resort building.

Unfolding the couch proved to be a bit of a chore; and while it wasn’t the most luxurious, spacious bed we’ve ever had, it was pretty comfortable all things considered. The biggest problem we had with it was the hassle of folding it back up in the morning and deciding who should do it!

As there is no dining room table or chairs, this little breakfast bar came in handy. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze but did offer extra work space and seating for meals.

Here’s a look at our villa’s full kitchen. I personally didn’t care for the tile or the shade of green on the cabinets, but it was spacious and came with everything you could need, minus the groceries.

All villas that feature a full kitchen have a stove, oven, microwave, and toaster, as well as silverware, utensils, pots and pans, plates, cups, glasses, and more! The only kitchen luxury we wished our villa kitchen would’ve had would be an ice maker. Disney did provide an ice cube tray in the freezer; but with the four of us, and seeing how it was summertime, it just wasn’t enough!

Take a look at the tile work above the stove. They’re seahorses! I loved all the little touches of the ocean throughout our villa. I never felt like I wasn’t in the Beach Club Resort, which was a priority for my family.

Every DVC Villa at Disney World offers a washer and dryer, except for Deluxe Studios. This was a big perk after considering all the times we have hauled bags of dirty laundry to one of the resort’s laundromats and then spending valuable vacation time switching loads. But during our stay at our Beach Club Villa, we would often toss in a load before heading off to the parks or before bed at night.

The only problem we had when it came to our villa washer and dryer is that the box of detergent Disney provided was very small; and with four people needing to do laundry, it didn’t go far. Also, our dryer made a loud, squeaky noise when running, which became very annoying. Looking back, I should have informed the Beach Club about it, but complaining to the front desk is something I always dread doing. Fortunately, this is the first time we had encountered a problem like this while staying at a DVC Villa, so I doubt it’s a common problem.

It’s also important to note that DVC Villas do not offer housekeeping every day while standard Disney Resort rooms do. Let me explain. If you are staying seven nights or less, you will receive towel and trash service on the fourth day. So this means you won’t get clean towels every night like you would in a standard resort room. If you’re like us, you probably will want to wash towels a time or two before that fourth day rolls around.

For us, not having housekeeping was somewhat of a downside, even though this policy is universal for all DVC Villas. It’s definitely something to be aware of if you are planning to book a stay at a DVC Resort.  ( Ed. – this applies to guests  staying on points only – your own or rented – cash guests who book through Disney get daily housekeeping. )

Okay, I’m a huge fan of the bathrooms at Disney’s DVC Villas. My family and I have stayed at moderate and value resorts during past trips and there are four of us in total. While Disney’s value and moderate resort rooms are incredible in their own right, things can get a little tight when it comes to the bathroom situation. But this was most certainly not the case at our one bedroom DVC Villa at the Beach Club.

Our villa bathroom was kind of like two small bathrooms in one, shut off in sections by different doors. For example, one section contained a shower and pedestal sink while the other had another large sink and storage, plus a jetted tub, but both sections were shut off from one another by a door. The toilet was in a little section of its own behind another closed door for privacy. This means that three people can be in the villa bathroom at once without having to see one another!

The shower was huge compared to most resort room showers and the tile showcased little dolphins. My only complaint? The shower door didn’t close all the way, as if it was out of alignment or something. I’m sure this isn’t true of every Beach Club Villa, but it was a slight annoyance throughout our stay.

This is the other section of the bathroom. The sink offered lots of space and how could you not like that tub?

Here’s another view of the tub. The shutters complimented the light and airy feel of the villa and could be opened up into the master bedroom or closed for privacy.

This is a view of the bathroom through the open shutters. You can see into the other half of the bathroom from this viewpoint, as well as into some of the villa’s closet space, which was very spacious and contained the room’s safe for your valuables.

This is the villa’s bedroom! The bed was very comfortable and just look at all those pillows! I must admit, I’m not a fan of the small strip of comforter that Disney uses on their beds. Some DVC guests prefer to use their own blankets, which I would recommend since, in my own experience, there are few to be found in the DVC Villas; but I must admit, I love the full Disney bedspreads that pull together the resort’s theme and hide little characters and Hidden Mickeys. While these strips do have some Disney touches in the pattern, they do next to nothing and just get in the way.

The bedroom also offered a comfy chair, this writing desk, and a dresser and television. The artwork consisted of framed watercolor paintings of seaside scenes and ocean retreats. While some resort artwork can be less than enchanting, I would’ve taken these pieces home if I could!

Take a look at the curtains hanging in the bedroom window. They are covered with a fun, yet subtle, beach print and were hiding several Disney characters, plus a sandcastle that looks very familiar… There’s a Hidden Mickey too!

This is a fun detail for kids, and maybe even for “grown-up” kids too who enjoy a little magic here and there too.

The balcony off our master bedroom was one of our favorite features! Our villa’s view was of the front entrance to the Beach Club Resort; and the white building and gazebo directly in front of us was the Solarium, a sunny lounge with tables and sofas and a television. It leads directly to the Beach Club’s Marketplace. From this vantage point, you can see just how close the Beach Club Villas truly are to the main resort building.

When we had the balcony doors open, we could hear some of the traffic at the entrance, which could be irritating to some guests. However, when we had the doors shut, we could barely hear anything at all and traffic was lighter at night.

While our villa didn’t face the Boardwalk or the Beach Club’s famous Stormalong Bay Pool , it still was one of the better views that we have ever had in all our resort stays at Disney World.

Out of all our DVC Villa experiences, our stay at the Beach Club Villa was most definitely one of our favorites. Our villa offered us an even more luxurious stay than actually staying in the main building, but without losing any of the flavor, theme, and convenience of the resort itself. Also, while a standard resort room, Deluxe Studio Villa, and a one bedroom villa all only accommodate up to four adults, consider how much more space and extras you get choosing the one bedroom villa. The only downside would be the lack of housekeeping and that there is only one bed, which, while a slight hindrance, didn’t outweigh the full kitchen, laundry, and bathroom space. In short, we can’t wait to go back to stay here again!

Have you ever stayed in one bedroom villa at the Beach Club? If not, would you?

Notably, as announced at the recent DVC annual board meeting, all rooms at Beach Club Villas will be getting a significant refresh throughout next year. As a DVC owner (though not at BCV), really excited about the updates!

Just to echo a previous comment, you do not have to walk through the main lobby to get the bus. When you exit the villas, turn right at Ariel’s statue (instead of left) and that walkways takes you right to the circular entrance way outside. Or, if you are staying close to the parking lot, you can take the walkway to cross the street near the fountains to the bus.

Heather, my villa had a booth off the kitchen, but not chairs and we tended to use it more for our workspace. The only chairs we had were at the breakfast bar, but perhaps this varies? Thanks for your comment!

We recently stayed in a 1 bd in November and we had a large table with chairs as an eating area. It looks like you had that also in the picture you show the couch. It’s next to the kitchen. Not sure why it wouldn’t be in your room as an eating area or maybe you didn’t notice it was an eating area?

I’m totally confused at this as well. We own at Beach Club, and always have a table and chairs as well as the breakfast bar. Your unit looks different. Is this a dedicated one bedroom? I will admit I’ve only been in dedicated 2 bedrooms and studios and not a dedicated one bedroom. I’ve always had the table and chairs in the 2 bedroom….

You do not have to walk all the way back to the main building to get to either the bus stop, Epcot etc… There are other pathways at the DVC villa. Just ask the concierge at the dvc desk!

Great report, thanks. It does (sigh) confirm my other research that Beach Club Villas won’t suit my usual stay, thanks to the bed configuration. My Disney travel buddy and I want separate beds, and really don’t want to have one of us on a sofa bed. As far as I can tell, only OKW of the DVC properties has this in less than a 2-BR villa.

Can any DVC members tell me about other studio or 1-BR villas with 2 queen/full beds instead of 1 King?

All one bedrooms have the king master. Some two bedrooms have 2 queens instead of the queen and pull out in the studio portion of the two bedroom. That may be what you’re thinking of?

But the two queens are found in dedicated two bedroom villas. If you want two queen beds in something smaller than a two bedroom villa, you need to go to OKW.

Very nice report, as a DVC member I prefer to swap and back and forth between the Boardwalk and the beach club. We are staying there next month in a two bedroom.

Also looks very like the saratoga springs 1 bed villa we stayed at in the summer. Seeing this has kind of disappointed me as I thought each resort would be noticeably different, but I don’t think this is.

Maybe places like AKL and the Poly will change my opinion that they all look the same. I sure hope so!

Thanks for the review. We have a 2 Bedroom Villa and an adjoining Studio Villa booked for our upcoming trip. For 6 adults and 5 kids we will certainly be glad to have the space, kitchen and laundry. While I have seen the layout and some photos before, your review is the most complete depiction I have found… it has reassured me that the extra money we are spending is worth it!

Any idea on how much time the walk from the main entrance of Epcot all the way to the Beach Club Villas would take? Just curious if taking the monorail from Magic Kingdom to the TTC then on to Epcot and walking to the villas is still a time saver over dealing with the bus system.

The walk from Beach club to the International Gateway (between France and the UK) takes about 3 minutes ( maybe 5 if you want to drag it out). As for MK to Beach club, take the bus. 1) going via Epcot would require a hopper if you had enter MK. 2) it is a long princess. We did the reverse ( resort through Epcot , monorail to TT , monorail to MK and boat to Fort Wilderness. It took over an hour. So I suspect a bus from MK to Beach club is your best bet.

The layout looks almost exactly like the Animal Kingdom lodge One bedroom villa. We loved how roomy it was.

My family and I stayed in a one bedroom villa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village a couple years ago and we loved it! We usually stay in a two bedroom villa at Saratoga Springs or Bay Lake Tower, but we decided to try something different since there were only 5 people in our traveling party instead of our usual group of 6. What we liked better about Kidani Village’s one bedroom villa vs. Beach Club’s one bedroom villa is that it actually has a full second bathroom off of the living room/kitchen area. This was so helpful getting 5 people ready each morning. It also had a cute pull out chair that turned into a bed that was perfect for my older son, while my younger son and I shared the pull out couch, and Grandma & Grandpa had the bedroom. The villas at Animal Kingdom Lodge are heavily themed in dark woods and rich tones so that makes them appear different even if the floor plans are very similar to all of the other DVC properties. They are very dark though – so much so that Grandma had to go to Target and purchase a small lamp to use in the bathroom to see to get ready!

Disney DVC Beach Club Villas resort at dusk

disney yacht club 1 bedroom villa

Opened in 2002, Beach Club Villas are one of the older Disney Vacation Club locations at the Walt Disney World Resort. Just across the lake from the entertainment area of Disney’s Boardwalk Resort, Beach Club Villas has long been among the highest-rated and well-liked DVC resorts. It consistently draws guests back for its convenient and beautiful location, amenities, pool, and dining options.

Beach Club Villas are located in a stunning turquoise, Y-shaped building right behind Beach Club Resort’s main building. Styled after a New England-style hotel, these charming villas were renovated as recently as 2016 and 2017, giving the DVC resort a fresher, cozier feel and revamping its rooms and amenities.

disney yacht club 1 bedroom villa

There are several room-size options at Beach Club Villas for guests to choose from: Deluxe Studios (with a pull-down bed in addition to the sleeper sofa, making these studios able to occupy up to 5 guests), One-Bedroom Villas, Two-Bedroom Villas, and Two-Bedroom Lock-Off Villas.

While view requests are not guaranteed at Beach Club Villas, the view options are Woods, Pool, Courtyard, or the main Beach Club Resort. Rooms are sleeker and more modern since their renovation, while still retaining subtle elements of their 80’s style beach cottage theme.

Disney DVC Beach Club Villas view of lighthouse with transportation boat

With the Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort next door, guests at Beach Club Villas have many dining options for their stay. Beach Club Marketplace is one of the two dining options located in the main Beach Club Resort building and is a quick-service restaurant styled as a deli counter. It’s open for all three meals, and guests can find Mickey waffles, a quick sandwich, or comforting macaroni and cheese here.

The second option inside Beach Club Resort is Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill, where guests can enjoy refreshing entrees, snacks, and cocktails as they look out onto Stormalong Bay, Beach Club’s signature pool.

Beach Club Resort also houses the bright Cape May Café, which has a fun-filled Character breakfast and has a huge seafood buffet. Beaches and Cream Soda Shop, styled after an old-fashioned Atlantic soda shop, has great snacks and amazing ice cream and shakes, and is home to the infamous Kitchen Sink. Martha’s Vineyard Lounge invites guests to a lounge and full bar inspired by a swanky New England beach house.

Of course, with Disney’s Yacht Club Resort just next door, Beach Club Villa guests can also enjoy Yacht Club’s Ale & Compass Lounge, Ale & Compass Restaurant, The Market at Ale & Compass, Crew’s Cup Lounge, and the famous signature dining at Yachtsman Steakhouse. Disney’s Boardwalk Resort is just across the lake as well, and only a short walk away, if guests wish to enjoy one of their dining options.

Beach Club Villas comes with many amenities including access to Pirate Adventure Cruise, Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf, campfire activities, movies under the stars, boat rentals, fishing, volleyball, tennis, jogging paths, and an arcade. Of course, there are also its pools. Besides the other three located around Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, there is Stormalong Bay, which is 3 acres of sand bottom pools, lazy rivers, and a 230-foot water slide.

What is the Beach Club like?

The Beach Club (BC) is a 583 room resort which has guest rooms and conference facilities. It is styled after the New England seaside at the turn of the century and the seashore theme is evident throughout. The BC is joined in the center with the Yacht Club . Together, they share Stormalong Bay and transportation facilities. Next to the Beach Club are the Beach Club Villas, a Disney Vacation Club resort.

disney yacht club 1 bedroom villa

What is the advantage to staying at the BC?

The biggest advantage to staying at the Beach Club is its LOCATION.

For most people, the best part of the Beach Club is that you can walk to Epcot . You will enter Epcot through its back entrance, known as the International Gateway. This places you into World Showcase, between the United Kingdom and France Pavilions.

The International Gateway also houses a Disney Skyliner station which provides quick, complimentary transportation to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

disney yacht club 1 bedroom villa

Are refrigerators available in the rooms?

Yes, there is a complimentary refrigerator in your room. If for some reason there is not, request one.

I hear that there are no more room key cards at Disney resort hotels. How do I get into my room?

Walt Disney World has converted their room keys and admission tickets from plastic cards to MagicBands, flexible plastic wristbands, resembling a watch or bracelet, that use Radio Frequency (RF) technology. Your MagicBand is linked to your My Disney Experience (MDE) account and acts as your Disney resort room key. Simply touch the Mickey symbol on your MagicBand to the RFID reader near your room door to gain entry. Read about using MagicBands for park admission, FastPass+ and more .

If you need Late Check-out, request it at Check-In and as soon as possible the morning of check out (the number of eligible rooms are limited).

Resort Airline Check-In Service at your Disney resort is only available if you are flying domestically (includes Puerto Rico) on specific airlines It is a complimentary (free) service and allows you to check your luggage.

How do I get to the theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs?

  • Magic Kingdom – The Magic Kingdom can be reached by taking a bus from the front of the hotel. The bus will usually stop at the Beach Club; however sometimes it will also stop at the Boardwalk, the Swan and the Dolphin resorts. The tends to happen during the middle of the day or during low crowd times.Another longer, but more scenic, journey is to take the monorail from Epcot’s front entrance, transfer at the TTC, and then continue to the MK. Traveling this way does take some time and some walking, but you get to see a little bit more, and it lends to resort hopping if the mood strikes. Depending on traffic, buses can take 15-25 minutes to reach the Magic Kingdom.
  • Epcot – You can take a short walk (10 minutes) to Epcot and enter via the International Gateway. Although World Showcase does not typically open until 11am, you can enter earlier and walk through the park to Future World. You can also take a boat from the dock on the lagoon

disney yacht club 1 bedroom villa

  • If you walk to International Gateway, you can board the Disney Skyliner. You’ll need to transfer at the Caribbean Beach Skyliner Station to the Hollywood Studios line.
  • On the Waterside of the resort is the transportation boat dock. Note that this boat makes additional stops for guests at the Boardwalk resort and Swan and Dolphin .
  • You can also walk to the Disney’s Hollywood Studios via the walkway behind the Boardwalk Villas . It’s about a 20 minute walk.
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom – Disney’s Animal Kingdom can be reached by taking a bus from the front of the hotel. The bus will usually stop at the Beach Club; however sometimes it will also stop at the Boardwalk, the Swan and the Dolphin resorts. The tends to happen during the middle of the day or during low crowd times. Depending on traffic, buses can take 10-20 minutes to reach the Animal Kingdom.
  • Disney Springs and for the Water Parks – Go to the Bus Depot for transportation. The same bus that goes to Disney Springs may very well take you to Typhoon Lagoon. Some trips were non stop and some went via PI/DD. There is a separate bus for Blizzard Beach. Buses also travel to the Yacht Club and Boardwalk.

Note that the hotel bus service route sometimes includes stops at the Boardwalk and Yacht Club and then Beach Club. Some Bus runs include stops at the Swan and Dolphin, others do not. The water routes include one stop for the Yacht and Beach Club Marina , the Boardwalk , and the Swan and Dolphin .

Where can I get morning coffee?

Coffee makers are available in all rooms, with packets of coffee, both decaf and regular. You will be able to make about 3 mugs from the pot.

You can also go to Beaches and Cream OR the Beach Club Marketplace for early morning coffee and limited breakfast items (as early as 6:30.am.).

If you’re not satisfied with the pastries at the Beach Club, take a walk over to the Boardwalk Bakery.

Need coffee earlier? Call Room Service.

What are Rapid Fill Mugs?

The Rapid Fill beverage program allows Disney Resort guests to buy (or receive as part of the Disney Dining Plan) a resort mug that can be refilled for a certain period of time as designated at time of purchase. These mugs are enhanced by an RFID bar code that enables the mug to deactivate when the designated time is complete.

What are the restaurants like?

The Beach Club  has quite a variety of restaurants to fit your dining needs

Beaches and Cream is a ’50s type hotshop serving burgers, hot dogs, soups, grilled cheese, and of course ice cream. There are a few small tables and chairs outside Beaches and Cream you can also sit at.

disney yacht club 1 bedroom villa

Beach Club Marketplace – Opened April 2005 and offers some made-to-order sandwiches, as well as prepackaged sandwiches and salads, desserts and drinks.

disney yacht club 1 bedroom villa

The Cape May Cafe hosts a daily character breakfast buffet (7:30 – 11:00) featuring Beachy Goofy and his friends.  In the evening, the Cafe hosts a Clam Bake buffet. This is a great choice for seafood lovers, as the buffet features Crab Legs.

disney yacht club 1 bedroom villa

For an evening cocktail, Martha’s Vineyard has a full-service bar offering wine flights. The lounge is located behind Cape May Cafe , next to Ariel’s Private Use Room.

disney yacht club 1 bedroom villa

Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill is a poolside full-service bar which also serves food, such as burgers, sandwiches, and salads.

There are also several dining options at the Beach Club’s sister resort, the Yacht Club.

For a signature meal and great steak, visit the  Yachtsman Steakhouse.  The Yacht Club also has the Crew’s Cup Lounge where you can get alcoholic beverages and light snacks.

disney yacht club 1 bedroom villa

The Ale & Compass Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a lounge at the Ale & Compass too with cocktails and appetizers.

disney yacht club 1 bedroom villa

Within walking distance are the Dolphin/Swan, Boardwalk and all the Epcot restaurants.

What is Stormalong Bay and is it as great as everyone says?

Stormalong Bay is the large, outdoor water area at the Yacht and Beach Club. It features a sandbottom pool, pirate ship slide, and lazy river.

disney yacht club 1 bedroom villa

And it is truly awesome. Where else can you bask in the warm sun in such beautiful surroundings and still have SAND in the bottom of the pool. Take a look at our Stormalong Bay Photo Gallery.

There are actually several sections to the pool; the Yacht Club and Beach Club  sections are separate and different so be sure to try both. There is a deep circular area with jets that push you like a river current around the pool. There is also the larger area where the the water slide empties out (The water slide is not to be missed! but sometimes the line gets long) In addition, the *sinking sand* area delights both kids and adults. There are several ‘hot tubs’ located in secluded locations around Stormalong Bay . A separate wading pool area (yes with sand) is located near the ShipWreck water slide entrance for small children and includes a kids water slide. StormAlong Bay is over 3 acres large.

disney yacht club 1 bedroom villa

In 1997, a white fence was built to surround the StormAlong Bay complex. This was done due to the large amount of non-resort guests that were using the pool. Access to the Pool area is now extremely limited; one entrance is just outside Martha’s Vineyard ; one entrance at the Yacht Club ; and one entrance near Hurricane Hanna’s . To visit Hurricane Hanna’s you must carry your resort ID with you in order to return to the pool area. Each person in the party does not need their ID to enter (if you all enter together) but keep in mind you need the ID if you exit and re-enter the Pool area! You do get stamped upon entering.

disney yacht club 1 bedroom villa

There is a beach shack which rents tubes and noodles, suntan lotion, film and you can get your towels here (towels are free, the other items are not).

For those who arrive at the BC before checking time and would like to use the pool, there is a restroom next to Beaches and Creams where you can change into bathing suits. You just have to make sure that you have already been given your your Resort ID at the front desk.

Is there a leisure pool?

Yes, on the side of the Beach Club  that is closer to Epcot is a courtyard with a Quiet Pool . The quiet pool has it’s own supply of towels. There is no lifeguard at the Quiet Pool . The Yacht Club  has a similar quiet pool. These pools are great for adults who want to read or enjoy a quieter pool experience.

disney yacht club 1 bedroom villa

Is there a beach at the Beach Club?

Yes! There is a lovely sand beach along Cresent Lake. You cannot swim in the lake, however there are swinging benches and beach chairs in the sand for your enjoyment.

disney yacht club 1 bedroom villa

What types of recreational options do I have?

Be sure to request the Recreational Activities flyer . There may be activities like Water Volleyball, Campfire Sing-along, or Movie Under the Stars.

disney yacht club 1 bedroom villa

Can I watch Fireworks from the BC?

You can sit on the Beach and see the high Fireworks from Epcot Forever. With the addition of the bridge to the Boardwalk , there is another good viewing area for the Epcot Forever Fireworks . You can also see the fireworks from the Disney’s Hollywood Studios . Walk over the to Boardwalk and stand near the BWalk Fries vendor cart and you can see the fireworks from MK too!

Another option is to rent a Pontoon Boat for a Fireworks Cruise. This is not inexpensive, but it’s a great way to celebrate a special occasion!

What type of child care options are available?

There are several child care options available. For up-to-date information visit our Child Care FAQ .

My child will be celebrating a birthday while at the BC. Is there anything special that can be done?

The Pressed Quarter and Penny Machines are located on the walkway outside of Beaches and Cream and just outside the entrance to the Cape May Cafe .

On the water side of the BC on the public walkway, you will find a portable espresso and frozen drink bar as well as tattoos and hair braiding booths.

The Bayside Marina near the Yacht Club offers a special Albatross Treasure Cruise for children ages 4-10. Click HERE for more details.

One of the nice features about the BC is that you can get to all the restaurants from inside the hotel or under a nice covered walkway…so if the weather is bad you don’t get wet on your way to dine. The restaurants also seem to be flexible for resort guests’ last minute dining needs.

Ask about the Scavenger Hunt (Disney Trivia) at Guest Services .

Pay Phones are located: Off the main lobby near the restrooms, at the Quiet Pool, Between Cape May Cafe and Martha’s Vineyard.

Guest Rooms

Due for renovations beginning in 2025, these rooms are relatively spacious at 400 square feet with either two queen-size beds or one king, with room under each to store luggage. Rich wood borders the cloth-covered blue and white headboards that accent beds made up in white sheeting. Most rooms come with a chenille cream-colored flip-over sleeper sofa sporting brass nailhead accents. Other furnishings include a wood and granite desk, porthole-style mirror, and a nautical-style bureau with a large wall-mounted flat-screen TV above. And for the first time in a standard room at a Deluxe Disney resort are wood floors throughout instead of carpeting. The navy drapery leading to the patio or balcony is in a Disney-inspired constellation theme, and by the bath is a spacious, internally lit closet area with a nifty fold-down ironing board. The quartz bath vanity area shuts off from the bedroom via sliding pocket doors. The bath holds double sinks in a dark wood vanity, hairdryer, lighted makeup mirror, H2O+ Sea Marine/Sea Salt bath products, and, most exciting of all, great lighting. There are a separate tub and shower area with a frosted door; some rooms come with a bathtub but are on request only so families with young children should take note. Amenities include a Keurig coffeemaker, small glass door refrigerator, and electronic safe. View Disney’s Yacht Club’s Guest Room on the Glass Slipper Concierge YouTube channel.

Cara’s Tip: Standard View rooms come with a view of a slice of the parking lot or the rooftops, so be sure to book a Garden View requesting one near the quiet pool that looks out on the grassy area with a fountain and duck pond. Lagoon/Pool View rooms face Crescent Lake, Stormalong Bay, or sometimes both; ask for one facing Epcot for a distant view of the fireworks. If too much walking is not your idea of a vacation, request a room close to the lobby; the resort is quite spread out, and long treks to your room are not uncommon. King-bedded rooms can also come with a sofa sleeper so a family of four might get this type of accommodations.

Concierge Rooms

Most are located on the fifth floor and privileged to the expanded Regatta Club, one of only a few Disney concierge lounges with a full-size balcony but alas with a view of the front of the resort instead of Crescent Lake. Most concierge rooms are standard; for extra space choose the 654-square-foot Deluxe Rooms , all located on the third and fourth floors, and all with two queen-size beds, a small parlor separated by a partial privacy wall, and views of Crescent Lake. They do, however, require an elevator ride to the concierge lounge.

In the lounge is the same menu as the next-door Beach Club with complimentary food and beverages on offer throughout the day. Mornings bring coffee with a self-service Nespresso machine, juices, fresh fruit, cereal, muffins, orange loaf with oat streusel or apple-cinnamon loaf, croissants, warm cinnamon buns with cream cheese frosting, bagels, toast, steel-cut oatmeal, cheese grits, rotating egg dishes such as a seasonal egg casserole or egg white frittata, silver dollar pancakes, crepes, slow roasted ham, chicken sausage (plant-based sausage by request), a variety of yogurt including Greek with homemade granola, and hard-boiled eggs. Midday Seaside Snacks consist of fruit, crudites, candies, bagged snacks and chips, muffins, sweet loaf bread, oatmeal-raisin, sugar, and chocolate chip cookies, lemonade, and iced tea.

Wine served by an attendant includes a choice of Domaine Ste. Michelle Brut Sparkling Wine, Selbach-Oster Reisling, Babich Savignon Blanc, J Lohr Chardonnay, H3 Merlot, and R Collection Raymond Cabernet Sauvignon, along with an assortment of beer. Hors d’oeuvres include such items as charcuterie, artisan cheeses, cold roasted vegetables with roasted shallot aioli, crudites with garlic peppercorn sauce, roasted marinated olives, quinoa salad, Caesar salad, Greek salad, tomato mozzarella salad, tuna poke cones, Thai beef salad, seafood roll, and hummus; along with hot items such as chicken tagine with couscous, chicken nuggets, pulled pork sliders, chicken tacos, oven-baked salmon and lentils, pot roast with mashed potatoes and barbecue demi, (kids feast on the likes of mac and cheese, mini hot dogs, make-it-yourself peanut butter and jelly cups with Parker House rolls, and apple slices with caramel sauce). After dinner is a selection of cordials and desserts such as key lime tart, strawberry trifle, vanilla cupcakes, chocolate pot de creme, vegan brownies, chocolate chip cream cheese cannoli, pineapple-carrot cake, chocolate truffle cake, chocolate cupcakes, and sugar and chocolate chip cookies. And everyone loves the mini-freezer full of Mickey ice cream bars, a refrigerator filled with sodas and fruit juice boxes, and the bottled water for takeaway on request.

Additional room amenities for concierge guests include the services of a friendly concierge staff, private check-in and checkout, and nightly turndown service.

View Disney’s Yacht Club Regatta Club on the Glass Slipper Concierge YouTube channel.

A variety of suites are available, all with concierge lounge access.

Three Turret Two-Bedroom Suites, located on a corner of floors one, two, and three, offer 1,160 square feet with lots of navy and cream colors, hardwood flooring, and plenty of charm. Off the left of the entry hall is a standard size guest room with two queen beds and a full bath but with upgraded décor (you may access this room from its own separate entrance door). On the opposite side of the foyer are an alcove with a desk and an additional full bath with a single sink. Next up is one of two living areas with sleeper sofa, coffee table, easy chair, desk, credenza with TV, and wet bar; followed by a 2nd living area in the bright and sunny turret, beautifully decorated with hardwood flooring, fun navy and cream décor, 4-person table, sofa, and retro-yacht chairs. The master has a king bed, easy chair and ottoman, bureau, and TV with a standard-type bath with tub/shower combo and double sinks. Patios or balconies, depending on the floor, are found off the master bedroom and another off the turreted living area. Views are of the walkway leading to the Boardwalk as well as Crescent Lake. View the Turret Suite on the Glass Slipper Concierge YouTube Channel!

There are also two Non-Turreted Two-Bedroom Suites with similar decor, one of Floor 3 and the other Floor 4, each with 1,256 square feet. The two guest rooms come with a king bed, and there is a sofa sleeper in the living area.

Almost identical at 2,017 square feet but with different décor are the two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath Presidential (5th floor) and Admiral (4th floor) Suites . The Admiral Suite overlooks the BoardWalk and Crescent Lake, decorated in shades of navy, cream, and gold. There’s a hardwood foyer with half bath as well as two living areas, both with hardwood flooring and nautical-style area rugs—one turreted with hardwood flooring and porthole-style windows overlooking Crescent Lake with sofa, four easy chairs, and round coffee table; the other with a sectional sofa loaded down with soft pillows, two easy chairs, coffee table, credenza and oversized TV, desk, and gas fireplace. A separate eight-person dining room adjoins a small wet bar/service kitchen with a service entrance. The master bedroom offers a king bed with a light bronze leather headboard, easy chair, bureau, and TV. The white/gray marble master bath is an accessible one with a roll-in shower, two sinks, a deep soaking tub, and an open toilet area in an alcove. A second bedroom with two queen beds is a standard size room with upgraded decor and an additional entrance. Balconies are found in each bedroom and off the living area with a stand-up, one-person balcony off the dining area. View the Admiral’s Suite on the Glass Slipper Concierge YouTube Channel!

The resort’s most extensive suite at 2,374 square feet is the first floor, two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath Captain’s Deck Suite . A hospitality suite of sorts, it’s tucked away in a corner area at the front of the resort perfect for privacy, just past The Marketplace retail store. A hardwood octagonal foyer leads to a contemporary, nautically decorated suite decked out in cream, navy blue, and gold palette. The sizable great room features hardwood flooring topped with a cushy area rug, a large sectional sofa filled with throw pillows, a half-circle modern chair, a square coffee table, a chess table, credenza above which hangs an oversized TV, and a dining room seating twelve. A desk, bar, and half bath sit in a wide hallway near the master bedroom. Off the dining room is a full kitchen (minus a stove) with a full-size refrigerator, sink, Keurig coffee maker, microwave. Doors lead out of the living area to one of the suite’s best features, an oversized brick garden patio (shrubbery blocks the view of the adjoining parking area). Room 1111 connects to the Captain’s Deck suite to make a 3-bedroom suite.

Each of the Captain’s Deck bedrooms has a private patio, with the master bedroom offering a king-size bed, chaise lounge, bureau, easy chair and ottoman. Traverse a hallway with a walk-in closet and vanity area to get to the lovely white and gray marble bathroom with its oversized shower, deep soaking tub, double sinks, and separate commode area. The suite’s second bedroom with two queen beds is similar to a regular guest room with slightly upgraded décor, chaise lounge, oversized bureau, and second full bath. There are several entrances to the suite: the main entrance foyer area, the office/desk/bar/half bath area near the master bedroom, the service entrance off the kitchen; and the guest bedroom.
