About M/Y Vivere

Gulet Vivere is 26 meter long and 7.2 meter wide gulet with a classic line and modern design. It was built in Turkey in 2008. and completely refitted in 2017, but in 2020 owner added come new improvements. Vivere can accommodate up to 12 + 1 guests in six beautiful cabins.

The cabins are consisted of a Master cabin and 5 double bed cabins. Classic jet very nice cabins are fully equipped. Each has a wardrobe, plenty of storage space, bathroom towels and beach towel for each guest, 24 V/220 electricity, a plasma TV, an air conditioning system and a private bathroom.

Bathrooms, just like the cabins are very nice, neat and hold all you need. A glass shower box, hair dryer and shampoos.

Additional Vivere description:

The saloon of 30 m2 is very spacious and comfortably accommodated 12 guests dining inside in case of bad weather. The dining area is also a lounging area so you can play some board or card games as well to have a movie night with your family. Crew will help you with all. In a fully equipped bar, skilled crew will prepare all your favorite drinks and snacks.

The captain’s cockpit is on the stern, so while cruising, discuss with the captain about you upcoming travels. There is a large dining area outside, where each morning you will find delicious breakfast filled with fresh fruit, pastries, vegetables, ham, cheese and other food of your desire. In case a rain shower or windy weather the back seating area can be closed with a transparent awning, so you can still comfortably enjoy delicious meals outside.

On the bow, you can lie down, take your favorite book, and sunbathe on comfortable sun mattresses. Wait the night and admire the many stars in a secluded bay on a nice private lounge area at the front.

There are many activities you can do on Vivere. Take some snorkeling gear and a stand-up paddle board and explore bay’s green and rocky shore where you can find many animals. Investigate what hides on the sea bottom. Be sure you will find plenty because our sea is rich with fish, seashells, seaweed and other interesting sea creatures. Vivere provides amateur fishing gear, so who knows, maybe you catch the tonight’s dinner. Other can cruise around the boat in two kayaks.

If you want something more demanding and speedier, there are water skies. The crew will be more than happy to pull you on their 5.7 meter Yamaha 200HP engine tender. There is a children’s dingy of 2 meters as well.

An experienced 4 members crew will help you with all this. An experienced captain will show you all secluded bays and the season’s hot spots. Creative chef will cook the best Croatian delicacies just for you. A helpful hostess will make you feel welcome and together with a strong sailor, they will fulfill all your needs and wishes. Port fees - Anchorages:

Port fees and anchorages are to be paid on spot in each port/anchor (in cash), according to actual costs in ports/anchors.

The total cost per week depends on the selected itinerary/ports of call.

It is not obligatory for the yacht to be in the port each night, it can also be anchored, which lowers the mooring fees (approximate cost is between 1000 - 1500 EUR).

Boat Description

Gulet Vivere is the newest addition to our gulet offer. It is a stuning 26 meter long and even 7.2m wide gulet with a classic line and modern design. It was built in Turkey in 2008 and refitted in 2017, but in 2020 it’s also getting some improvements. Vivere can accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 cabins. It has 1 master cabin and 5 double cabins. The saloon of 30m2 is very spacious and great to accommodate 12 guests dining inside in case of bad weather. There is a big table on the aft deck that can also accommodate 12 guests comfortably and a SAT LED TV. In case of bad weather the back seating are can be closed with a transparent sheet so the guests can comfortably spend time outside. The kitchen galley is below deck and it is fully equipped with full stainless steel professional equipment. This gulet also offers a big sundeck with a sunbed for each guest. There is a SAT LED TV in the aft deck are, a bar with beverage coolers, a sink, bottle stands and glasses. Vivere has the complete safety equipment, it also has CO2 fire fighting system and smoke detectors. Vivere is very well equipt so it has double steering, Garmin navigation, Simrad radar, two engines, bowthruster, two generators, autopilot, compass, EPIRB and Sart equipment, AIS tracking system via Marine Traffic application, video surveillance of the engine room from the cockpit and a satellite dish. In cocnlusion you will feel extremely safe on your vacation on this gulet.

Wait until you realize that Vivere has 3 brand new sails in function with roll system furling and a total area of 290m2. You can only imagine what a wonderful experience it is sailing on this beauty.

CRUISING AREA   Gulet Vivere is available for charter in Croatia and its islands. She has home port in Split, but depending on previous and subsequentbookings of her schedule, she can embark or disembark in Dubrovnik; therefore the itinerary could be Split-Split, Split-Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik-Split or Dubrovnik-Dubrovnik. 

ACCOMMODATION   She can accommodate up to 12 + 2 guests in 6 double cabins ,distributed as follows: 1 master cabin with double bed plus an extra small bed for a child and 5 cabins with double bed, two of them with a pullman. All cabins have ensuite facilites. The crew quarters are separated from guest's cabins.

CREW   A crew of 4 people led by Captain Miljenco. The captain and owner is an experienced sailor. Vivere has a talented chef, whose dishes will delight all the guests.

TENDER & TOYS  A range of water toys such as Jet Sk (under request), Water Skis, Donut, 2 Stand up paddle board and 2 Kayaks.

Gulet Vivere was built in 2008 in Turkey but it has been refitted twice so far - in 2017 and in 2020. Highlight of this beautiful gulet are new sails with total area of 290 m 2 which ensure an unforgettable sailing experience. Gulet Vivere can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 ensuite cabins (1 master cabin and 5 double guest cabins). Guests on board have maximum privacy since the crew has their separate quarters. Vivere features spacious saloon (30 m 2 ) where all guests can be seated at the same time and dine inside in case of bad weather and those delicious meals are prepared in the fully equipped galley located below deck. Stepping on the deck you will find yourself on the aft with a large dining table for 12 persons. The area can be protected with a transparent sheet so guests can spend time outside even if it is raining. Aft deck is also equipped with LED TV and satellite programs, bar with beverage cooler, sink, bottle stands and glasses. In the bow area there is another spacious dining area, large sun deck with comfortable sun mattresses and circular shaped lounge zone all the way up in front. For your safety, on the boat there are smoke detectors and CO 2 firefighting systems, video surveillance of the engine room etc. And last, but not least, for entertainment there is snorkeling equipment, 2 stand up paddles, 2 kayaks, water skis, donut, amateur fishing equipment, kids' dinghy (2 m), board games, cards, Wi-Fi

Gulet Yacht Vivere - 2024 Charter Rates / Per Week

Advance Provisioning Allowance (A.P.A) in amount of the charter fee (before discount) is to be paid by the charterer in addition to the charter fee which includes all fuel and relevant costs for the yacht and its tenders, as well as all harbor expenses, customs, gratuity and other additional costs for the yacht, crew, client and guests during the entire charter period.

A.P.A. is obligatory for all luxury yachts and it is usually ranged for 30% of the charter price. The Client will be advised by the captain, at intervals, as to the disbursement of the A.P.A and will, if the balance remaining becomes insufficient, in light of current expenditure, pay to the captain, a sufficient sum to maintain an adequate credit balance. Prior to disembarkation at the end of the charter period, the captain shall present to the Client a detailed account of expenditures with as many supporting receipts as possible, and the Client will pay to the captain the balance of the expenses or the captain will repay to the Client any balance overpaid, as the case may be.

Payment for special requirements or equipment and/or shore transport and/or excursions and/or all other expenses not customarily considered part of the Yacht's costs may be required to be paid to the captain on board in addition to the charter fee and/or A.P.A.

This post is an honest opinion of the gulet cruise concept, and if you wish to learn about the pros and cons of this type of holiday – keep reading. But, before going in-depth, I would like to introduce myself.

My name is Mitja and I have started the Goolets company with my wife 16 years ago. Ever since I have personally inspected more than 500 gulets, yachts, motor sailors, and mini cruisers and cruised on well over 30 yachts for my own holidays.

Gulet cruise cons

1. It is not cheap

Hotel holidays, renting a house or a sailing yacht will probably come cheaper. On a gulet cruise, you can expect the prices to start at around € 600 to € 800 per person per week for standard type gulets. You can get good – quite comfortable vessels for prices around € 1.000 per person per week, while some luxury gulets can come for the price of around € 2.000 per person per week. 

2. Cabins and bathrooms on ships cannot compare to hotel rooms

On a gulet, cabins are generally for sleeping only. Bathrooms are meant for a quick shower and for basic needs during the cruise. The reason why this is like so is simply that you spend 90% of the time on deck. If a hotel room is the best part of your holidays – then book a hotel – do not go on a gulet cruise (only if you can spend  € 2.000 per person per week or more).

3. It is an adventure. You are going on a ship

Sometimes you can have bad weather and nobody can do anything about it. You will cruise from place to place. You will check amazing places. You will move around. If you are a person that does not like a good adventure – stay home. Gulets are safe (we easily cruised with my 2 years old son) – but if you like the stability of a hotel room – go to the hotel.

4. You need to organize a group (unless if it is cabin charter)

The hardest part of having a gulet cruise holiday is to organize a group. Different people have different expectations and this can be frustrating to some. You need to be a “leadership” type of person to go into this organization and you need to start planning early to avoid unhappy friends or family. This is not so hard if you plan in the correct way and we can help you with that.

5. If it is cabin charter – you do not know which nationalities will cruise with you – if you are not sociable…100% not for you!

You can only book a cabin and join other people on board. This means you will share your table and your deck space with total strangers. If you have a problem with this – then either get your own group, book a gulet for 2 or 4 people only or perhaps choose some different holidays.

6. Some sailing is possible (not on all gulets) – but gulets are not sailing yachts by default

If you are a passionate sailor then you better tell this to your “booking agent” in advance – and state it a minimum 2 times – as most of the gulets have none or poor sailing capabilities. There are exceptions of course – but you have to ask for this in advance so we can check if those types of gulets are still available in our offer and that you don’t get disappointed.

7. If you get a lousy crew on your gulet – you will have a lousy holidays experience

The crew makes a minimum of 50% of your experience. If you have a captain who does not know how to speak English a chef who likes to drink and sailors who do not know their job your experience will be not as you might expect. The quality of the crew is more important than the quality of the gulet. Mark my word about this.

8. Self Service food is not an option as on huge cruise liners for example

Gulets have limited space, so you will not have dinner like on huge cruise liners or in hotels. You state your food preferences before you arrive on a gulet and chef follows your wishes during the cruise. Food is the best part on a cruise – but SELF SERVICE is not an option.

I would recommend gulets to

Families with small children, families with teenagers, middle-aged couples looking for relaxation, party groups, mixed groups of all ages and active seniors looking for an unforgettable mix of active and relaxing tailormade cruise holidays.

Gulet Cruise Review – Final thoughts

For me personally – gulet cruises are the best possible way of spending your holidays. Nowhere else you have such a great combination of things you can see, stuff you can do, all organized in such a comfortable way, you truly do not have to move a finger.

But beware!

If you do not plan properly. If you book a gulet that is not the best fit for your group or EVEN WORSE – IF YOU ARE NOT A GULET CRUISE TYPE OF PERSON – then it can all turn into a disaster!
