Hannah Lynch's friends had nothing but kind words for their friend.

British business tycoon Mike Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter Hannah Lynch were killed after their luxury yacht Bayesian sank during a storm off the coast of Sicily on Monday. On Friday, search divers recovered the seventh and final body from the sunken superyacht, reported The Washington Post .

Cosimo Nicastro, a spokesman for the Italian Coast Guard, confirmed the identity of the victim as Hannah. “I can confirm it to you, the last victim inside the hull has been found,” he said. Mike's trial lawyer Christopher Morvillo, his trial witness Jonathan Bloomer, and three others were also killed in the tragedy. 

Hannah Lynch's sister, Esme said that Hannah often burst into my bedroom and lay down with me, adding no matter what, she brought boundless love. "She was endlessly caring, passionately mad, unintentionally hilarious and the most amazing, supportive, and joyful sister and best friend to me," she said.

She had even more love to give endlessly to all her friends and passion to give to her incredible studies and goals, Esme told The Guardian. "She is my little angel, my star."

On behalf of the Lynch family, a spokesperson said they were devastated, in shock, and were being comforted and supported by family and friends. "Their thoughts are with everyone affected by the tragedy. They would like to sincerely thank the Italian coastguard, emergency services and all those who helped in the rescue. Their one request now is that their privacy be respected at this time of unspeakable grief," the statement added.

Jon Mitropoulos-Monk, Hannah Lynch's English professor at Latymer Upper School in West London was all praises for his student. He said he taught Hannah for four years and would remember her for what she taught him "kindness, compassion, and commitment".

She said she had never taught someone who "combined sky-high intellectual ability with warmth and enthusiasm" like Hannah did. She lit up the classroom with her energy, passion for learning, the teacher said about the 18-year-old. 

Calling the 18-year-old “one of the best English students in the country”, she told the English daily, “By age 16, she'd read Joyce, Faulkner and Nabokov … She loved literature, learning and life. She was so excited to start studying English at Oxford, a goal she had worked so hard towards."

When she got her place, she sought out every single member of the Latymer upper English department to thank them individually and give them a hug, the teacher added.

Hannah Lynch's friends had nothing but kind words for their friend. The love Hannah had for everything she held dear was passionate and pure, said Katya Lewis, adding her friend had a warm and beautiful soul.

"When I think of Hannah, I think of poetry, sunshine and her beautiful eyes," said Hannah's classmate, Gracie Lea. "She was easy to love: sincere, dedicated, fiercely intelligent and genuinely kind. I'll always remember her smiling."

Not long after the Bayesian sank, fifteen people, including Angela Bacares, Hannah Lynch's mother, were saved. During the preliminary search, Recaldo Thomas, the yacht pilot, was found dead.

Friends Pay Tribute to Hannah Lynch as 6th Body Recovered from Sunken Sicily Yacht: 'Beautiful Soul'

Hannah, 18, was the last remaining person missing after a luxury super yacht sank off the coast of Sicily on Aug. 19

As the sixth and last body, believed to be that of Hannah Lynch, was recovered on Friday, Aug. 23 after the sinking of the luxury super yacht off the coast of Sicily earlier this week, family and friends of the 18-year-old are remembering her as a “warm and beautiful soul.”

PEOPLE previously reported that the "last person still missing in the Palermo shipwreck is identified," according to Italian coast guard sources on Aug. 23. 

Four bodies were recovered on Wednesday, Aug. 21, while a fifth body was found in the wreckage. Among the dead was British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch , an Italian government official confirmed on Thursday, Aug. 22.  

Until the discovery of the sixth body on Aug. 23, Hannah, Mike's daughter, was the last missing person after the Bayesian , a 183-foot vessel, sank on Monday, Aug. 19, when it was hit by a storm.

Amid Italian authorities’ efforts to find the six missing victims this week following the sinking, tributes have poured in for Hannah, who was planning to begin her academic year at the University of Oxford, where she recently won a place, as reported by The Telegraph .   

Jon Mitropoulos-Monk, the head of English at London’s Latymer Upper School where Hannah previously attended, praised her. “I’ve never taught someone who combined sky-high intellectual ability with warmth and enthusiasm in the way Hannah did,” he said, via The Guardian . “She lit up the classroom with her energy, passion for learning and sheer intelligence (though never with a hint of arrogance).”

Mitropoulos-Monk said that Hannah was “one of the best English students in the country,” adding that she scored 100% in her English literature GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education). 

“The love Hannah had for everything she held dear was passionate and pure,” said Katya Lewis, a friend, per The Independent . “She had a warm and beautiful soul. Being with Hannah made me feel whole and happy. She is the most special friend anyone could ask for and I will always love Hannah.”

In a statement shared with The Telegraph , Su Wijeratna, the headmistress at Latymer, called Hannah a “remarkable young woman and a gifted student.”

“She had the brightest of futures ahead of her and was so excited to be starting Oxford this year, to study her beloved English,” said Wijeratna.

“She was driven by a profound love of words that connected her to the world and her loved ones,” Wijeratna added. “As a community we are shocked and heartbroken over Hannah’s death and we send our thoughts and prayers to her family and all who knew her.”

PEOPLE reached out to Latymer Upper School for comment on Aug. 23.

A spokesperson for the Lynch family released a statement, per the BBC , that read: "The Lynch family is devastated, in shock and is being comforted and supported by family and friends."

"Their thoughts are with everyone affected by the tragedy,” the statement continued. “They would like to sincerely thank the Italian coastguard, emergency services and all those who helped in the rescue."

Prior to the Bayesian ’s sinking on Aug. 19 near Porticello, Hannah and her father Mike, the founder of software company Autonomy, were among those aboard the yacht with 20 other people, including Lynch’s wife Angela Bacares. They were reportedly celebrating Mike’s acquittal in June of fraud and conspiracy charges in connection to Autonomy’s sale to Hewlett-Packard in 2011 for $11 billion. Had he been convicted, Mike could have served up to 25 years in prison. 

In an interview with The Sunday Times published last month, Mike said his acquittal in the U.S. fraud trial had given him a "second life." However, he added: "The question is, what do you want to do with it?”

“If this [the verdict] had gone the wrong way, it would have been the end of life as I have known it in any sense," Mike told the newspaper. He also said he had "various medical things that would have made it difficult to survive."

Journalist Danny Fortson, who spoke with Mike for the Times piece, told PEOPLE that he appeared "incredibly grateful and happy," but was still "struggling to accept" his new reality .

In addition to Mike and Hannah, the other four missing persons from the sinking at the time included  Christopher Morvillo , a New York City attorney; his wife, jewelry designer Neda Morvillo; Jonathan Bloomer, chairman of Morgan Stanley International; and his wife, Judy . Their bodies, as well as Mike's, were eventually recovered.

The body of another victim, identified as Recaldo Thomas , a chef, was earlier found shortly after the Bayesian capsized. Meanwhile, Bacares was one of 15 people rescued from the sinking yacht.

BRIT teen Hannah Lynch was found dead inside the doomed Bayesian superyacht today as her family and friends pay tribute to the gifted student.

Divers retrieved the body of her dad, Brit billionaire businessman Mike Lynch , 59, from the sunken boat on Thursday afternoon.

The final missing passenger - 18-year-old Hannah - was found in the wreck and later recovered around 12pm local time today.

Italian coastguard official Vincenzo Zagarola said the search for Hannah was not "easy or quick", comparing the wreck to an "18-storey building full of water".

Her body was seen being lifted onto the Porticello quayside by rescue workers from the fire service who carried it into a white tent next to a waiting ambulance.

The discovery takes the total number of people found dead after the tragedy to seven and ends five gruelling days of search operations in the sunken wreck.

Fifteen of the 22 people onboard were rescued as the £14million yacht capsized and sank in a storm off the coast of Sicily on Monday.

Lynch's wife and Hannah's mum -  Angela Bacares, 57  - was one of those who managed to escape in a tiny life raft as the vessel capsized.

Diving teams recovered the four bodies of Jonathan and Judy Bloomer and Chris and Neda Morvillo, who were guests on the yacht, on Wednesday.

Recaldo Thomas - the yacht chef - was found dead on Monday near the boat.

A family friend of the Lynchs', Patrick Jacob, remembered Hannah as "charming and ferociously intelligent with an insatiable thirst for life and knowledge" today.

He added: "She was also warm, loving and deeply considerate; remarkably for her age."

Jon Mitropoulos-Monk, head of English at her school the London Latymer School in Hammersmith, applauded Hannah's intelligence, kindness and grace.

He said: “I’ve never taught someone who combined sky-high intellectual ability with warmth and enthusiasm in the way Hannah did.

Hannah is thought to be the youngest of Mike Lynch's two daughters, with the couple's eldest daughter now out in Porticello supporting her mum.

Her family released a photograph of Hannah and her dad hugging and smiling after her body was recovered this morning.

One friend Katya Lewis said: “The love Hannah had for everything she held dear was passionate and pure.

"She had a warm and beautiful soul. Being with Hannah made me feel whole and happy.

"She is the most special friend anyone could ask for and I will always love Hannah.”

Italian officials have yet to publicly comment on the latest development, which brings an end to five days of searching in the underwater wreck.

Officials are looking the boat's Automatic Identification System (AIS), essentially a black box that contains data transmitted from ships in distress to the mainland.

It revealed what exactly happened in the final 16 minutes before the Bayesian sank and plunged some 160ft to the ocean floor.

Pictures showed rescue teams bringing the body believed to be Mike Lynch ashore around 8.45am local time on Thursday.

An official working at the scene told AFP on Thursday that all the missing men had been found and it was just a woman, who could only be Hannah, that they were still searching for.

Rescue divers retrieved the first two missing passengers on Wednesday afternoon, with Sicily’s civil protection chief Salvo Cocina initially telling The Telegraph  the bodies belonged to Mike and Hannah.

But Italian outlet  Giornale Di Sicilia  later reported that the four bodies recovered were Jonathan Bloomer and his wife Judy and Chris Morvillo and his wife Neda.

The 184ft Bayesian plunged beneath the waves after being hammered by a  rare "Black Swan" waterspout at around 5am on Monday.

According to witnesses from a small nearby boat, the 246ft tall mast was hit by a tornado, toppling the boat and causing it to capsize.

Captain of the doomed yacht  James Cutfield, 51, was grilled by cops  for over two hours after divers discovered the boat's keel was raised - a structural backbone of the boat which could have affected its stability during the storm.

And the CEO of the firm which manufactured the boat has spoken out - claiming the yachts are "unsinkable" and blaming human error.

Police have launched an investigation as they work to find out why the luxury vessel sank .

Prosecutors in nearby Termini Imerese are investigating offences of shipwreck and multiple culpable homicide - similar to manslaughter in the UK - against unknown persons, according to Italian media.

Cops have been scouring videos and photographs taken on the night of the storm by locals, as well as CCTV footage of the port, according to local reports.

Divers said on Thursday they may raise the sunken yacht, which could help them complete the investigation.

Although the boat is "practically intact" at the bottom of the sea, rescuers were struggling to get inside because of narrow entryways, floating debris and a 10 minute time limit per dive.

They deployed an underwater drone to the seabed to scour the wreck and send up helpful video and images.
