Excellent Yacht Services

Terry Richardson and his team are expert and first class, very practical, tackle and solve problems and generally give an excellent service at a reasonable price. Their week shore including lift out and pressure wash also good value. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Just had my pride and joy out to dry…

Just had my pride and joy out to dry out for few months , antifouled, drives serviced, staff always so careful and treat boat as if it were their own!! Will be bringing her back for servicing etc, some minor work carried out which was cheaper to have done by a fully trained marine craftsman than to buy the tools! Also as far as I can see they have the only 70T crane sling I’ve seen within a reasonable distance. No query is too much, one call to the girls in the office and it’s all sorted, one of biggest benefits of Richardsons is total peace of mind knowing she’s in best hands. If you value your boat bring her to Richardsons.

First class in every respect

Not easy to find a boatyard these days that charges sensible rates yet employs shipwrights and engineers that are second to none. I have known Richardsons for over twenty years, they are genuine, honest and fair minded people. Based on my experiences I would gladly recommend them to anyone.

Friendly, professional, reliable and totally recommended

Yet another brilliant annual service and antifouling (and new propeller this time) with Richardsons. I have nothing but praise to everyone involved. It doesn't matter who you speak to - in the office or out in the yard - they are all welcoming, friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable. My only regret is not finding them years ago. I would have saved myself a lot of stress (and money).

Excellent staff

The boys in the yard were happy to help with anything and also went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. Also the office staff made it easy and very accommodating to my time ashore.

There prices for cut sizes of acrylic…

There prices for cut sizes of acrylic are ridiculous

I am sorry that you think our cutting prices are ridiculous. We have a standard cutting charge £12.50 + VAT for the first piece and £4.16 + VAT for additional pieces. The actual cost of acrylic has increased considerably in the last 6 months and unfortunately we have to pass this cost on to the customer. We have not increased our cost for cutting.

Richardsons responded to my request for an expeditious hoist and pressure wash with great charm and alacrity. The job was very well carried out at short notice with professionalism and an abundance of smiles.

Our current location remains on the Isle of Wight at Island Harbour Marina, situated on the River Medina. We have progressively expanded over the years and now have the great pleasure of offering a wide range of services for you and your boat. In simpler terms, we offer boat owners a “one stop” facility for all craft up to 50 tons.

The on-site chandlery is provided by Richardsons Yacht Services. Established for over 30 years, Richardsons is a friendly, family-run business. They offer a full range of marine services including engineering, boat building and repairs. Slipway and boat lifting facilities are also available if required.

Please note that Richardsons Yacht Services’ chandlery and shop is open as usual, but they have now moved to their new building at the rear of our hard-standing area.
