Italia Yachts 20.98: Unveiled The First Video Of The New Mini-Maxi

Italia Yachts unveiled the first video of the new IY 20.98. This project was presented during the last Cannes Yachting Festival in 2021. The Italia Yachts 20.98 – naval architecture signed Cossutti Yacht Design studio, exterior and interior design by the yard design studio – is inspired by the concepts of the “Classic, Contemporary and Modern” boat. This is the first “Mini-Maxi” from the Italia Yachts shipyard.

The Italia Yachts 20.98 is the fourth model born from the partnership between the Venetian-based Italia Yachts and Cossutti design , following on from the 10.98, 13.98, and newly-launched 14.98.

The hull is technologically advanced, with optical fibres lamination, thanks to the collaboration with B&G, Volvo, and Allspar and some of the most advanced research centres in the infusion lamination sector. “ The result is a mini maxi characterized by tapered and sleek lines “, says Cossutti Yacht Design studio, “ with a generous sail plan and a technologically advanced hull, with optical fibers in the lamination. Thanks to the optional lifting keel, the new Italia Yachts 20.98 will be able to sail in any sea and get closer to the shore thanks to the reduced draft. “

Italia Yachts 20.98: the deck

The project is designed for navigation with a ‘mixed crew’, sailors and guests, the halyards are managed by winches at the mast foot while the winches are positioned at the stern for adjusting the sheets, for perfect handling even with a small crew. On deck, the living spaces are ample and there are hatches and large windows to ensure a beautiful natural light in the interior.

Classic, contemporary and modern. And here we are: the new project, IY 20.98 the new Mini Maxi by Italia Yachts that expands its range upwards, with a hull in line with the fleet already produced up to 55 ‘. This is the fourth model born from the partnership between our studio and the Venetian shipyard after IY 10.98 , IY 13.98 and IY 14.98 . The Italia Yachts 20.98 project was previewed to the press at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2021.

Yacht Design

To meet the shipyard’s requests, the design focused on evolving the two souls of Italia Yachts, Bellissima and Fuoriserie, into a form that could fully represent the distinctive characteristics of the brand. The hull will be tapered designed to have a slender and elegant line, to charm you while sailing. Those who choose an Italia Yachts today expect something more in terms of performance and this project will not betray the expectations of the most demanding owners, while cruising or racing in the most competitive regattas.
