Constructed from Carbon fibre, its twin-step racing hull achieves a light 18k lbs displacement, twin 480hp Cummins & Arneson Drives, the Wider runs as good as it looks through S turns & rockets straights to 50kts.

Its most ingenious feature is its ability to extend its beam to 6.6m creating “terraces” for an entertainment deck space of 60 sqft.

Dynamic design philosophy, vast onboard space, a slippery fast hull, this Wider 42 will stand out in any crowd as a stand-alone sports boat or a superyacht tender.

Wider 42' was the first model in the fleet and the precursor of the Team philosophy, this day cruiser inaugurates a new category of open yacht: the Wider Cockpit, extremely efficient, functional and versatile.

This is the opening of a new style of sea living, 43.8 ft : a simple but ingenious solution. Thanks to two side extensions, the walkable surface on Wider doubles and her stability increases. All this happens in just 12 seconds! But the games and transformation do not stop here.

The stern off Wider 42' with its Multi-pad system is also extremely versatile. Starting from a sun pad configuration, it can take on four different layouts, all in one: a space which can be used for diving equipment, one for stowing a 2.75m tender, one for a jet ski and one for a fighting chair for big game. Combining high performance with low fuel consumption, the Wider 42 is equipped with twin 480hp Cummins engines which drive her to over 50 knots – an impressive speed for a 42’ cruising yacht.

These performance figures are largely due to the stepped hull, designed by offshore racing specialist Mark Wilson, as well as Arneson surface drive propellers. 70% of the Wider 42 is made of carbon in order to achieve a relatively light displacement and excellent power to weight ratio. As a result, the Wider 42 offers enhanced efficiency and has a greater range than other yachts in its size category.

With the trademark Wider expanding cockpit, the Wider 42 offers double the surface area of a conventional 42-footer. Opening up at the push of a button – the process takes just 12 seconds – expanding amidships to provide a deck space of 18m2 when at anchor.

Today, Wider is one of the most innovative yacht design atelier in the world, led by a management team committed to grow as a company by constantly questioning the status quo, and by challenging unsustainable and unfutureable ways of designing yachts.

From its first appearance in the sector, with motorized yacht docks and a lateral approach to comfort, to the first hybrid yacht projects in the nautical world, Wider has always been a naturally evolutive brand.

2010 The foundation

Wider was founded in Castelvecchio di Monteporzio, Italy. Its first project, the Wider 42, an innovative and high-performance 13m yacht with apatented system to open up the cockpit, immediately received worldwide recognition.

2011 Wider 42 launch and Wider 150 project presentation

The first Wider 42 was launched. The yacht was featured in the prestigious ADI Design Index, and won both the AIM Marine Group Editor’s Choice Awards and the Robb Report Best of the Best.

The project for the Wider 150, the first superyacht from the shipyard and the first one to incorporate serial hybrid propulsion with azimuthal thrusters in the whole nautical world, was officially presented.

2013 Ancona shipyard opening

Wider opened the Ancona shipyard, equipped specifically to build superyachts, and started the production of the first Wider 150.

2014 Wider 165 and Wider 32 projects

Wider presented its second superyacht, the Wider 165, and the Wider 32, an Express Cruiser in its own right as well as a tender for the Wider superyachts. It immediately won the AIM Marine Group Editor’s Choice Awards.

2015 Wider 150 presented at the Monaco Yacht Show

The first Wider 150 was launched and presented at the Monaco Yacht Show, where she was visited by Prince Albert II of Monaco. She became the first motor yacht in history to receive a perfect COMF (Y) 100/100 score.

2018 Wider 165 launch

The Wider 165 was launched. She received general acclaim around the world, raising the standards of the Wider 150 and winning the prestigious RINA Comfort Class (COMF (Y) 100,100), the RINA Green Plus (Platinum) and the World Superyacht Award “Displacement Motor Yachts Below 500GT – 48m and above”.

2019 Marcello Maggi’s acquisition

Wider is acquired by Marcello Maggi. Is the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the shipyard. At the 2019 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show Wider presented the projects for two new superyachts, the Wider 180 and the Wider 135.

2022 WiderCat 92 presentation

Wider presented the WiderCat 92, the 28-meter future-conscious, sun-powered, limitless-inspired catamaran, the first multihull in the history of the shipyard.

2022 Moonflower 72 keel laying

First announced in May 2022 followed by the keel laying three months later, new renders of the MOONFLOWER 72 project by Nauta Design currently under construction at Wider Superyacht Hub in Porto Marghera, Venice.

2023 WiLder presentation

Wider launches a new project conceived and designed by the in-house Centro Stile Wider, that borrows from visionary and adds provocateur: WiLder, the shipyard’s alter-ego conceived to indulge the wilder side of lovers of superyachts and the sea. A sign of Wider’s urge to create and will to conquer new territories, WiLder’s first creation will be a daring 18.6-metre, all-aluminium thrill machine that serves as its own hybrid between chase boat and performance cruiser.

Worth Avenue Yachts is very excited to represent and distribute the Wider Brand of yachts and tenders. Although a new company, Wider Yachts USA embodies over 30 years of yachting industry passion and experience and we look forward to providing an exclusive high level of service to all Wider customers. Our connection to Wider is not a chance meeting, but a mutual passion for high performance and cutting edge technology and our long time relationship with the company’s founder, Mr. Tilli Antonelli, allows us to work closely with the shipyard and product development.

Two doors away from CRN is the Wider facility, which has offices and a single bay shed, that fit the all alloy 50m, hybrid diesel electric vessel, the second in a series of larger custom diesel hybrid yachts by Wider. The first vessel, The Wider 150 launched in the spring of 2016. These vessels have been personally inspected by the Worth team. Launched in 2018: Hull #2, the 165’ is very similar in style and functionality of the 150’, with some major modifications:

• Touch-and-go helipad on the large foredeck, which can convert to a large entertaining space forward of the built-in seating and Jacuzzi in front of the wheelhouse.
• The already large transom “beach-club”  houses a 32’ Wider fiberglass “production” tender.
• There is a large master suite on the forward main-deck, which consists of a gym, with sauna and bathroom (which can be converted to a 6 th stateroom), this space has an opening balcony to the sea. An owners study, also with a “one button” opening balcony and the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom.
• A lot of time and effort has been put into sound insulation and vibration control, with a fully floating interior and a lot of sound suppression materials. The dB readings on the 150 were 39dB in the master at anchor.
