History of Princess

Princess Yachts was founded in 1965 in Plymouth, England. Initially known as Marine Projects (Plymouth) Ltd, the company started with a vision to create elegant and state-of-the-art yachts. The modest beginnings saw the production of a 31-foot cruiser, which quickly gathered attention and acclaim within the boating community. The success of their early models led to rapid expansion and the establishment of a solid reputation for high-quality craftsmanship and innovative design.Over the ensuing decades, Princess Yachts consistently pushed the boundaries of luxury yacht construction. In the 1980s, they introduced models that set new benchmarks in terms of performance and comfort, helping to solidify their status as one of the premier yacht manufacturers in the world. The 1990s and 2000s saw further advancements with the integration of new technologies and materials, maintaining their edge in a competitive market. In 2008, Princess Yachts was acquired by LVMH (Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton), bringing additional investment and expertise to the brand.Today, Princess Yachts remains headquartered in Plymouth, operating from a state-of-the-art waterfront facility that covers over 1.1 million square feet. This location includes some of the most advanced production capabilities in the marine industry.
