LOGICA YACHTS , the Italian builder that handed over superyacht MY LOGICA last year, has taken over a new facility in Viareggio. The shipyard has thus set up the basis for the future growth.

LOGICA YACHTS owned by a big international holding, has recently acquired a new production facility and offices in Viareggio, the core of the Italian Superyachts’ building center.

The shipyard’s shareholders intention of investing in the business, has been consolidated after the delivery of the first 45m motor yacht MY LOGICA that has gathered a great support and popularity among the business professional, clients and media following to Monaco Yacht Show and Cannes Yachting Festival 2014.

LOGICA YACHTS can now count on a new facility able to accommodate yachts up to 55 mt.

At the same time LOGICA YACHTS is designing new models of the range that will be soon announced to the market.

With this new set up, the company is able to offer a new product range in line with the renewed demanding market requirements, and first class facilities to allow high quality production.

The LOGICA team look forward to leveraging their experience in this area to support the company’s exciting growth prospects.

Logica 147-01 is a 45-Meter Superyacht by Logica Yachts

Logica 147-01 is a 44.8-meter superyacht launched from Logica Yachts` facility in Viareggio in May 2014, and also the Italian shipyard’s second release – so it’s about time we take a closer look.

What’s really interesting is the fact that her owner (a Canadian real estate and media tycoon) actually bought the Logica brand from Benetti, which was originally tasked with building the ship, after deciding he wanted full control over the project.

One of Logica ’s most striking features is her ample internal space. The work of British design firm Martin Kemp Design, the interiors have a modern, sophisticated vibe, with a simple and elegant color scheme comprising shades of ash grey, brown, gold, and cream. Luxurious materials complete this picture: there’s a beautiful oak floor with stainless steel insets, surrounded by glass, polished ebony, and lacquer, which further enhance the feeling of spaciousness. Accommodations are in the same vein, as the six guest rooms (one master suite, one VIP cabin, and four guest cabins) are all well-appointed, nicely decorated, and very comfortable.

The outdoor facilities are quite impressive and provide an excellent setting for unforgettable moments in the middle of the ocean. There’s a sizable dining table with seating for up to a dozen and a partly shaded bar, but the spot mostly likely to draw a crowd is the amazing 5.5-meter swimming pool, located forward on the main deck.

If all of this wasn’t enough, Logica also boasts RINA green plus certification, meaning she’ll be able to stay at anchor even in the most beautiful and pristine waters, without any fear of disturbing the environment.

The 45m/147'8" expedition yacht 'Forever' (ex. My Logica) was built by Logica Yachts in Italy at their Viareggio shipyard. Her interior is styled by design house Martin Kemp Design and she was delivered to her owner in January 2015. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Luca Brenta & Co.

Guest Accommodation

Forever has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising three VIP cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Her features include beauty salon, beach club and air conditioning.

Range & Performance

Forever is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel MAN (D2862 LE 463) 1,400hp engines running at 2100rpm, she comfortably cruises at 14 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 17 knots with a range of up to 6,500 nautical miles from her 71,000 litre fuel tanks at 10 knots. Her water tanks store around 17,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to RINA (Registro Italiano Navale) C ✠ HULL ● MACH classification society rules.

Logica Yachts have taken over a new facility in Viareggio.

The Italian shipyard, which is owned by a big international holding, delivered 45 metre Logica in 2014.

Logica Yachts have said “the shipyard’s shareholders intention of investing in the business, has been consolidated after the delivery of the first 45 mt MY LOGICA that has gathered a great support and popularity among the business professional, clients and media following to Monaco and Cannes Yacht show 2014.”

Their new facility will be able to accommodate the construction of yachts up to 55 metres in length. New models are currently being designed and will soon be presented to the market.

New Logica Yacht features powerful SCHOTTEL PumpJet between rudders

"Logica 183", recently launched at shipbuilder Logica Yachts' facilities in Viareggio, Italy, is equipped with one electrically driven SCHOTTEL Pump Jet

"Logica 183", recently launched at shipbuilder Logica Yachts' facilities in Viareggio, Italy, is equipped with one electrically driven SCHOTTEL PumpJet type SPJ 57 (150 kW). The extremely compact pump jet provides maximum manoeuvrability to the 56-metre-long yacht.

The SPJ is the perfect propulsion solution for any vessel with limited space requirements and high demands on comfort. In addition, it allows silent electric propulsion over short distances as well as in DP mode.

Pump jet between rudders To meet the special installation requirements in the stern area of the yacht, the pump jet was placed between the rudders. In close cooperation with the rudder manufacturer, a special interface was developed that enables the pump jet to generate lateral thrust by opening up the rudders to an angle of 90 degrees. This allows interferences between the jet flow and rudders as well as thrust deduction to be kept to a minimum.

When higher speeds are reached, the pump jet can be put into a parking position using the control system. This involves a steering angle of zero degrees and ensures that interactions with the inlet, nozzles and impeller are reduced at higher speeds.

Low noise and vibration for high comfort The SCHOTTEL PumpJet provides full thrust in all directions and can be used as a reliable manoeuvring system, take-home device, and main propulsion unit on a wide range of vessels. Its space-saving installation achieves minimum displacement loss thanks to its extremely compact design.

A further advantage of the SPJ is that vessels can also be manoeuvred quietly and vibration-free even in shallow waters, such as channels. Since the jet is installed flush with the yacht’s hull and provided with a protective grid at the intake, there is no risk of injury to divers or swimmers when the SPJ is in operation.

Accommodation for 12 guests Designed by Acube Design and Martin Kemp Design with Pierluigi Ausonio developing the naval architecture, the new yacht encompasses 860 gross tonnes with a beam of 10.5 metres. Key features of the three-deck yacht include a private foredeck area as well as a sundeck that can be completely enclosed by wrap-round glazing. It is able to accommodate 12 guests in six staterooms.

"Logica 183" is expected to be handed over in May 2021, and is intended to be the first in a mini-series.
