I recently booked a yacht charter in Miami with Myke for Father’s Day. I am from Colorado which made the process quite difficult until, thankfully, we were in contact with Myke. Myke made the yacht rental process seamless! His communication is almost immediate. Both Myke and Luis are very professional. Myke took care of everything for our yacht rental and answered all our questions. The crew on the yacht was AMAZING! My family had the time of their lives. Anytime we are back in Miami looking to rent a yacht, Myke will be without a doubt who we book with.

This was my first time renting a boat in Miami and I’m sooo happy I found Myke to work with. I’ve heard so many terrible stories about yacht rental companies in Miami, especially after giving them a deposit for the yacht. I did a lot of research, and eventually found Myke. He was extremely helpful in every single aspect of my yacht charter (even getting me the dimensions of a table on the boat for a tablecloth I wanted to bring on), always responsive, and just very nice!!!! I would highly recommend this company if you are looking for a yacht rental in Miami.

This company is phenomenal and made the process of booking a luxury yacht charter so easy. Vanessa helped me plan my 40 th  birthday celebration. It was a truly unforgettable experience.  I booked a 150’ yacht in The Bahamas. During my trip, we explored the Exumas. Each day was better than the day before!  My favorite part of the trip was swimming with the nurse sharks at Compass Cay. The captain and crew were also incredible. They were extremely professional and friendly. I never had a chance to even ask for anything, they were on top of everything!  I recommend using this company for your next yacht charter.

• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is confirmed more than 7 days in advance, a deposit of either $1,000 USD or 50% of the total cost of the reservation (whichever is greater) is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 7 days away, the remainder of the amount due is processed.
• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is made 7 days or less in advance, the total price of your reservation is processed immediately.

Luxury yacht sinks off Sicily, leaving U.K. tech magnate Mike Lynch, 2 Americans among those missing

Rome  — Six people, including two U.S. nationals, a British technology entrepreneur and one of his daughters, were still missing Tuesday after a large luxury sailing yacht sank off the coast of the southern Italian island of Sicily during a violent storm. The 184-foot Bayesian had been anchored about half a mile off the port of Porticello, near Palermo, with 22 people on board — 10 crew members and 12 passengers.

The vessel sank at about 5 a.m. local time (11 p.m. Eastern, Sunday) after being hit by a possible waterspout spawned by the storm. Italian media said the winds snapped the boat's single mast, unbalancing the vessel and causing it to capsize.

Fifteen of those on board managed to escape the yacht and were rescued by a Dutch-flagged vessel that was anchored in the immediate vicinity. They were brought ashore by Italian Coast Guard and firefighters.

One body — an unidentified male — was recovered, but six people remained missing, including British software magnate Mike Lynch, once described as Britain's Bill Gates. 

Lynch was acquitted in June of fraud charges in the U.S. that could have landed him with a decades-long prison sentence. In an unusual twist, Lynch's co-defendant in that fraud case, who was also acquitted, died Saturday after being hit by a car while out jogging in England.

Lynch's teenage daughter Hannah was also among those missing, along with Lynch's American lawyer Chris Morvillo, a former assistant district attorney in New York, and his wife Neda. British banker Jonathan Bloomer, chairman of Morgan Stanley International, was also still missing Tuesday.

Among the survivors was a 1-year-old British girl who was being treated at a nearby hospital along with her parents. They were doing well, according to Italian media.

"For two seconds I lost my child to the sea, then I immediately was able to grab her again in the fury of the waves," the girl's mother, identified only as Charlotte, was quoted as saying by Italy's ANSA news agency. "I held on to her tightly in the stormy sea. Many were screaming. Luckily the life raft opened up and 11 of us managed to get aboard."

"It was terrible," she told ANSA. "In just a few minutes the boat was hit by a very strong wind, and sunk soon thereafter."

Karsten Borner, the captain of the Dutch vessel that came to the rescue, told ANSA he had been anchored near the Bayesian.

"When the storm was over we noticed that the ship behind us was gone, and then we saw a red flare, so my first mate and I went to the position and we found this life raft drifting, and in the life raft was also a little baby and the wife of the owner."

Recovery efforts were back underway Tuesday, with speedboats, helicopters and divers continuing to search for the missing — as well as for answers, as to how a state-of-the-art superyacht could disappear in a flash. 

According to Italian media, Fire Brigade divers reached the boat and saw bodies trapped inside some of the cabins, but they had been unable to recover any of the victims from inside the vessel by Tuesday, due to obstructions. The Bayesian appeared to have sunk in an area with a depth of about 160 feet.

Witnesses said the boat sank quickly. 

"I was at home when the tornado hit," fisherman Pietro Asciutto told a local news outlet. "I immediately closed all the windows. Then I saw the boat, it had only one mast, it was very large. I suddenly saw it sink... The boat was still floating, then suddenly it disappeared. I saw it sink with my own eyes."

The director-general of Sicily's civil protection agency, Salvatore Cocina, confirmed to CBS News partner BBC News  that three of the six people still missing Monday were British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch, whose company Autonomy Corporation PLC was acquired in 2011 by HP ; one of his daughters, Hannah Lynch, who is believed to be 18; and the boat's chef, Ricardo Thomas.

CBS News has seen corporate documentation showing a company called Revtom, solely owned by Lynch's wife Angela Bacares, who was among those rescued from the accident, as the owner of the yacht that capsized off Sicily. 

While the yacht was a privately owned pleasure boat, the waters around the island have claimed many lives over the last decade.

Dozens of migrants have died attempting to reach Sicily and smaller Italian islands in the region. Sicily sits only about 100 miles from the east coast of Tunisia in north Africa, and the Mediterranean crossing has been a frequent site of both nautical rescues and disasters as smugglers routinely send small boats overloaded with desperate people into the sea.

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - It has been a recurring issue all summer long for homes and businesses across Miami: ATV-riding, fence-hopping thieves have robbed people’s property, including several times this month.

Residents on Northwest South River Drive and elsewhere are fed up with the gang of crooks that keep hitting businesses in the area.

“Multiple occasions, all the other marinas, I’ve been hit more than once,” said Pro Blue Marine Cpt. Alexis Perez. “It hurts our business.”

One resident and targeted business owner, Felix Mari, said the thieves are professionals.

“That’s all they do all night long. That’s their speciality. They know exactly what to do and how to do it and it just takes seconds,” he said. “They got a four-wheeler and they took off. All they do is go from Marina to Marina.”

“On the ATVs?” said 7News reporter Sheldon Fox.

“On the ATV,” said Mari.

One of the recent places the mask-wearing thieves hit was Miami International Marina.

In videos, provided exclusively to 7News, the thieves are seen hopping the barbwire fence looking to net expensive loot.

“Climbing right there. You see him climbing?” said Mari as he pointed to the video. “After that, he jumps directly onto the boat.”

The crooks climbed onto the property of Mari and the boats owned by his clients.

Mari said the thieves took a GPS from the boat.

“Here’s the GPS that they stole and you can see how they cut the wires,” said Mari.

It’s the same type of steal that’s happening all across different marinas. The heist is said to occur overnight.

The thieves struck as recently as last Thursday.

“We can’t see his face. He’s got a mask,” said Mari.

Mari and other victims said despite repeated calls to the police, the crooks keep coming back.

“What are these guys after? What do they want?” said Fox.

“Displays,” said Mari.

Business owners said the thieves are after a Garmin navigation tool that helps boaters get around. In the market, the tool is worth $5,000.

Perez said he’s lost fishing poles, navigation equipment, and other items.

“They jump from backyard to backyard and they continue taking stuff from us,” said Perez.

Not far from the marina, Vincent Sedeno of Boat Cradles Unlimited said he’s tired of his shipyard being where bandits come to boost items and damage vessels.

“Yeah, whatever’s easiest to grab,” said Sedeno.

Sedeno explained how the thieves stole the tools that he then has to replace through his own money.

“Climb on the boat. Disconnect the wiring. Pop it out and they just cut the wire right through. Pull it out of the dash of the boat and then take it away,” he said.

In one incident, the employees of Pro Blue Marine tried chasing the burglars.

“I’m calling the police. I’m calling the police,” yelled an employee.

“Go, go, go, go, go!” said the thieves as they zoomed off on their four-wheelers into the night, uncaught and unaccountable.

One of the burglars caught on camera doesn’t seem to need a vehicle as he tends to do his crimes on foot.

Despite already getting arrested, he returns to the same area as seen on surveillance video.

Another big concern for victims and residents of the area is what might happen if and when they meet their unwanted visitors.

“That’s the danger we want to prevent. You encounter one of these people and you don’t know if they have a gun,” said Mari.

“Just trying to help us. Try to keep control of what’s going on here. We’re just working people that want to continue working. We don’t want our tools to be taken away,” said Perez.

Business owners are offering an $8,000 reward for anyone who has information that can lead to the thieves’ arrest.
