N ASCAR star Kyle Larson spent the summer break in Italy with his wife Katelyn Larson and three kids. Ahead of the playoff season, Katelyn has shared details about their yacht outing with Michael Jordon on Kenny Wallace's podcast.

After a hectic first half of the 2024 Cup Series, the Larson family decided to spend some quality time on a vacation to one of the most scenic European countries. They visited iconic cities like Rome, Siena, and Capri. Katelyn , a former athlete shared a reel on her Instagram page, highlighting all the popular locations the family visited.

During their time in Italy, the couple bumped into NBA legend and co-owner of 23XI Racing team Michael Jordan . Although the Larsons and Jordan were aware of each other's presence in Italy, Katelyn explained that their meeting was an organic one. She shared the details of the outing on the Kenny Conversation podcast.

"It was kind of underground at our hotel so we walked up the stairs and somebody's whistling at us and they're like, 'Kyle, Kyle.' So we go look up and here it is Michael Jordan and he says hey come sit with us and we had some great conversations," Katelyn Larson said (26:00 onwards).

"The first things I said to him and his wife was, 'yeah we're just waiting to get in that club down there.' And she said, 'oh, we haven't been there in like 10 years.' And he said that would be a disaster if I went. He had about five bodyguards around him," she added, highlighting the fact that Jordan always moved around with high security (26:16 onwards).

After recent visits to Italy's finest restaurants, Michael Jordan and his wife Yvette Prieto have been enjoying downtime by themselves on a yacht.

There is a heatwave in Europe at present and Jordan was recently pictured fanning himself while out for lunch in Sardinia.

This time, though, he stayed on the yacht and tried to keep cool with a white bucket hat while he had a bite to eat with his wife and their twin daughters. Temperatures in Italy have been breaking 100 degrees recently.

The 60-year-old Jordan was pictured sat at his dining table with his children while his wife Yvette, 44, was seen walking around the yacht in her workout clothes.

While he has been in Europe, Jordan has caught up with some old friends from the NBA and Hollywood.

Last week, he was pictured at dinner with Magic Johnson and Samuel L. Jackson at the famous Lemon Tree restaurant in Capri.

The three friends were hilariously serenaded by the restaurant band and Johnson shared an amusing video of himself and Jordan smiling along as the band played to them. 

'Tonight we enjoyed an incredible dinner at the world-famous Da Paolino Ristorante AKA the lemon tree restaurant in Capri, Italy,' Johnson wrote in an Instagram post.

'AND I got to hang out with my great friend and the greatest basketball player to ever live, Michael Jordan, and his wife Yvette, Sam (Samuel L Jackson) and LaTanya Jackson, Judge Greg and Linda Mathis, and John and Vicki Palmer.' 

Jordan and wife Prieto typically tend to keep a low profile. 

The couple met in a Miami nightclub in 2008, with Jordan proposing to the Cuban-born model three years later. 

They married in 2013 and a year later they welcomed their daughters, now nine.

Before heading to Italy, MJ and Yvette were in Paris and were filmed leaving a restaurant when Jordan was asked if he approves of his sone Marcus, 32, dating Larsa Pippen - the 49-year-old ex-wife of Jordan's Bulls teammate Scottie Pippen.

She also had a pair of binoculars to entertain herself with during some downtime

Jordan and his family were seen in Paris before heading to Sardinia as part of their break 

With a laugh, he said: 'No!'. 

Then, on a recent episode of Marcus and Larsa's podcast, both halves of the couple shared their unfiltered reactions to Michael's remark.

On the one hand, Marcus was 'dying laughing' at Michael's comment, which was 'hilarious to me' because 'I know my dad, right?'

Larsa on the other hand 'didn't think it was funny,' found 'nothing funny about it' and seemed bemused that Marcus saw the humor in the situation.

Marcus explained that 'my whole family, we're all competitive. The Jordans, like, part of our DNA is to talk s***, you know? And it gets us going. It gets us motivated.'

When he got wind of what Michael said about Larsa, he 'immediately I thought: "Like, he's playing. he's being jov- joking, he's laughing. He's, you know, just being playful.'

Marcus waggishly added that his father might have been 'a little lit' off tequila at the Paris restaurant Matignon the night of his viral dig at Larsa.

Michael Jordan and his wife Yvette Prieto continue their vacation in Europe. The celebrity couple have been spotted going on multiple romantic outings, as well as enjoying some quality family time with their twin daughters. This time the pair were photographed during their adventure in France, as they swam off the coast of Villefranche-sur-Mer.

They were also joined by some of their friends, with Yvette wearing a yellow bikini, sun-tanning and enjoying the warm weather before jumping to the ocean for a swim. Michael was all smiles looking at his wife and having a casual conversation with her.

The model and the NBA star looked very playful, with Michael jumping into the ocean and coming back for Yvette before handing her a towel. Michael wore black and white shorts, paired with a black shirt and a matching hat, accessorizing his look with black sunglasses.

The pair were spotted earlier this month enjoying a boat ride in Italy with their 9-year-old daughters Victoria and Ysabel. They also took some time to meet some friends in Capri during their Mediterranean getaway, catching up with Magic Johnson, Samuel L. Jackson and Judge Greg Mathis, and their wives.

Johnson shared a group photo on his Twitter account, sharing details about their dining experience at the restaurant. “Tonight we enjoyed an incredible dinner at the world-famous Da Paolino Ristorante aka the lemon tree restaurant in Capri, Italy!” he wrote. “AND I got to hang out with my great friend and the greatest basketball player to ever live, Michael Jordan, and his wife Yvette, Sam and LaTanya Jackson, Judge Greg and Linda Mathis, and John and Vicki Palmer.”

Michael Jordan’s new $15 million, 82-foot yacht, called the “Catch-23” was entered into a deep-sea fishing tournament off the North Carolina coast in June. His team didn’t win, but another of Jordan’s yachts is grabbing attention. His family has been cruising around in a mega yacht, most likely his boat named M’BRACE.

Joy seems perfect for family vacation jaunt. The 230-foot yacht cost Jordan a whopping $115 million. According to Majorca Daily Bulletin, the yacht was sold in December 2022, allegedly to the basketball legend. The yacht can accommodate 12 guests and a crew of 24. Its speed is 14 knots. Launched in 2018, M’BRACE is a symbol of luxury and state-of-the-art maritime engineering.

Jordan and his wife, Yvette Prieto, have been photographed at several stops on their trip. According to the Daily Mail, the Jordans were joined by his mother, Deloris, brothers James Jr. and Larry, sister Roslyn, and other loved ones.

During their family vacation, MJ even hired a magician to entertain the group on his luxurious boat.

It’s no secret the former basketball great has a love of yachts — he owns several. So many, that there is some confusion as to what yacht he is using for vacation.

Yachts, Yachts, and More Yachts

Jordan also owns another mega yacht, Joy , that reportedly put him back $80 million.

And there are his fishing yachts — two named Catch 23. The latest is Bayliss yacht Catch-23. According to the Bayliss website, the custom boat was completed in February. The company’s description reads, “Catch 23 is a fully custom, cold-molded sportfishing yacht designed and built in Wanchese, NC. This vessel is powered by MTU 16V2000 2600 HP engines, and her custom painted hull makes her unmistakable on the water.”

According to Boat International, it is a 25-meter Motor Yacht with a top speed of 40.0 knots. She gets her power from two MTU diesel engines. The yacht can hold up to eight guests in four staterooms, with two crew members. It also apparently is in the top 5 percent by speed in the world, the outlet reports. Catch-23 is one of 5,833 motor yachts in the 24-30m size, and her top speed is 13.49 knots above the average.

Jordan’s other, earlier model Catch-23 reportedly cost $8 million.

As the New York Post reported, the couple was seen heading to dinner at the W Hotel, a European vacation like their previous family trips, including last year’s adventures in Italy and France with their twin daughters, Victoria and Ysabel.

Whichever yacht he’s on, Jordan does have an impressive fleet.

In 2020, Jordan’s Catch-23, participated in the Big Rock Fishing Tournament. Catch-23, known for its top speed of 40 knots and a range of over 500 nautical miles, is equipped with cutting-edge technology and luxurious amenities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all aboard. Jordan traveled to the same spot, to compete in this prestigious nonprofit event, aiming to raise money for local charities.

Then this year, he added a second Catch 23 and also entered it into a fishing competition.

On June 14, in his attempt to compete in the 66th annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament in Morehead City, North Carolina, the Catch-23, along with a crew of seven anglers and a captain, aiming for a hefty catch, according to The Mirror.

However, the team managed a total catch of only 400 pounds, falling well short of the tournament’s largest catch, which was a 516-pound fish. The competition had a prize was $7.5 million.

Alas, Jordan, known for his relentless competitive drive even after his NBA retirement as a six-time champion, fell short of expectations at a recent fishing competition.

The prize money would have been a fragment of his fortune, worth and estimated $3.2 billion.

With eight different full-sized cabins onboard, the yacht can house family, friends, or anyone else worthy of staying in the Master Suite with no problem at all. Inside, you'll also find a full bar with a beautiful dining room area and a 270-degree ocean view. Of course, Jordan has also hired some of the world's finest chefs and bartenders as crew members, to serve himself and the guests while out on the water.

Along with an amazing view, the rear deck is fitted with a jacuzzi and a surrounding lounge area for hanging out or tanning. Jordan isn't the kind of person that likes to just sit around though, so it makes sense that there's also a full gym at his disposal to get the blood pumping. Those five-star meals need to get burned off somehow. Additionally, it wouldn't truly be a yacht owned by basketball player Michael Jordan without a full-sized basketball court. He may not play professionally anymore, but that doesn't mean he can't teach his guests a few lessons on the court from time to time.

When it comes down to it, Jordan is a businessman. Because of that, there's also a room that's mainly dedicated to meetings with important clients. The room is fitted with top of the line audio/visual equipment, and a satellite to give a presentation that is nearly impossible to decline. To put things in perspective, this yacht costs around $840,000 each week in order to man the ship and to keep the vessel in seaworthy condition. Michael Jordan and his wife, Yvette Prieto, are enjoying family time in Spain.

The couple, who celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary in April, held hands as they exited the NBA legend’s reported $115 million mega yacht, “M’BRACE,” which was parked in Barcelona on Wednesday, as seen in photos obtained by The Post.

Yvette, 46, looked beautiful in a matching green and purple set and a white crop top.

NBA superstar and arguably the greatest basketball player of all time Michael Jordan retired from the game years ago but still keeps busy doing all kinds of things, including sailing on his yacht . This is no toy, either, as his yacht qualifies as a superyacht and you’ll see why shortly.

Before we get too deep into this it’s worth noting that the yacht we’re covering here may not actually even belong to Michael “Air” Jordan. He chartered it several times and there is a rumor that he purchased it in 2019. But we don’t have 100% confirmation on that so it’s possible this is not Jordan’s yacht at all, just one he really likes. That aside, all of the details about the yacht are still accurate and you’ll see why, even if Jordan didn’t buy this one outright, there’s every reason to understand why he would have, and why he’s chartered it in the past.

What Did Michael Jordan Call His Yacht?

Michael Jordan’s superyacht is called Joy and was launched back in 2016. Of course, that’s just one of his yachts as he actually owns a smaller (but still impressive) sport fishing yacht that he named Catch-23. The name is a clever pun on the familiar saying “Catch-22” and also his jersey number 23 from when he played professional basketball. His fishing yacht cost a cool $8 million so you can imagine what the superyacht Joy must have set him back if he really is the owner. Or you can just read on to find out!

Because this yacht is a remarkable, one of a kind vessel, the owner, if it is Jordan, was willing to pay to ensure he got the best of the best. Is it the most expensive yacht in the world? No, not even close. But at $80 million (some sources even say $90 million) it’s definitely no joke. Joy is not a superyacht most people would be able to afford by any means.

According to most reports, Michael Jordan’s yacht clocks in at a very impressive 230 feet. That’s nowhere near the largest yacht in the world but it’s incredibly large nonetheless and more than twice the size of Shaquille O’Neal’s yacht or Tom Brady’s yacht .

With a pair of 1,850-horsepower engines,  Joy has a cruising speed of 12 knots. At top speed it can reach 16 knots, making it on par with other yachts of this size in terms of speed. At the size it’s clearly not intended for racing or hitting high speeds.

What’s the Interior of Michael Jordan’s Yacht Like?

What’s the one feature you’d absolutely expect to find on the deck of the yacht owned by a basketball legend? Joy has what has been called a full sized basketball court for playing while cruising, so long as the motion of the ocean doesn’t make this too uneven. Guess you’ll have to be careful with those rebounds. To be fair, though, when you look at images and videos it only shows the one hoop so it really looks more like a half court than a full basketball court. Not that there’s a problem with that, it’s certainly more than most yachts have. 

In addition, the space is easily converted if guests are in the mood for different sports and you can play volleyball or badminton. Heck, you can even toss a football around, there’s enough room. If it seems like that might take up too much room, don’t worry. The entire yacht has five decks so there’s plenty of room for the rust of the luxury features someone like Michael Jordan might want included.

As you’d expect on a luxury yacht of this size there’s a large beach club at the aft of the vessel with a dive platform and everything you’d expect in your beach club area. However, when the sun goes down this space is easily converted into a club for parties and it’s decked out for just such an occasion. There are video walls, bean bag chairs and a number of video game consoles for having a good time. It also serves as a movie theatre for when you want to gather a group and watch a film. Obviously there’s a large dining room for meals as well.

Obviously, the designers included a fully equipped gym on his yacht as well but unlike some, this is a partially open air gym. That means you can take in views of the ocean and enjoy the fresh air during a workout. Of course, additional health amenities exist as well. There’s a spa, a masseuse, and more plus a crew of 19 to make sure it all runs smoothly. One of those crew members is the private chef as well who is said to have a Michelin star, and as you’d expect the food will be able to meet the luxury of the rest of the boat.

You can travel across the 5 decks either by the spiral staircase or a luxurious glass elevator. This can take you from the gym to quarters where you’ll find seven cabins to accommodate guests. With the VIP you have eight cabins total.

The master suite offers an impressive 270 degree view of the ocean and has a private terrace if you want to go out for a closer look. The owner’s deck is opulent in design and resembles the penthouse of a luxury hotel. It even has his and hers bathrooms so no one needs to fight over who has access to the rain showers. For more private getaways there’s a private office for business meetings and lounge area for dining that are separated from the rest of the vessel.

You’ll also find four double cabins on board plus one twin cabin and finally a VIP stateroom. In total six time NBA champion has room for 12 guests in addition to the crew. All of the rooms are designed and decorated in a slightly different style so that people who come aboard get a chance to pick a room that appeals to their own personality rather than having a generic room that is the same as everyone else’s.

Elsewhere on board you’ll find a full bar for entertaining as well as a glass-sided deck jacuzzi for relaxing. 

Throughout the yacht’s interior you’ll find ocean mosaics, granite finishes and a lot of other opulent decorative touches that give it the sense of being at a resort. 

When it comes to cutting loose and having a good time, the people who designed Joy didn’t skimp there, either. The boat has a number of water toys including jet skis and guests can wake board, water ski, kayak and go scuba diving or snorkeling as well. Several tenders can take you to and from shore or wherever else you may need to go.

If you want to slow it down but still have fun, there are tons of inflatables that can be taken out and even a giant waterslide. If things get out of hand and someone gets in trouble don’t worry, Joy even has a rescue boat.

Is Michael Jordan’s Yacht Kept at a Caribbean Island?

Much of the reason people believe that Jordan owns Joy is because he was spotted there at the Caribbean island of St. Barts with the yacht back in 2019. Most of the pics you will find online that show Jordan on the yacht are from this time period and this is where speculation that he purchased the yacht came from. 

The Bottom Line

Joy is a luxury superyacht that costs as much as $80 or even $90 million. There’s a rumor that Michael Jordan is the owner of the yacht, and as the first billionaire athlete it’s not hard to believe, but it’s worth noting you can head to a number of yacht charter sites right now and charter this specific yacht for $700,000 per week. Would Michael Jordan let his private yacht be rented out for charters? You can decide that for yourself. Many other sites on the internet are convinced Jordan owns it but we’re not so sure just yet.

Regardless of who owns it, this massive 230 foot vessel has a basketball court on deck that can be converted for other sports or just whatever activities you feel like. There is a huge selection of water toys, space for parties, room for 12 guests, a jacuzzi, a swimming pool, a cinema and a master suite with an incredible 270 degree view of the ocean.

With a top speed of 16 knots and all the features you’d expect from a luxury hotel provided by a staff of 19, whether or not this is owned by Michael Jordan or just enjoyed by the Bulls legend, it’s easy to see why it’s such a highly prized vessel.

Michael Jordan and his wife Yvette are currently vacationing on a super yacht that costs $1.2 million a week that includes a master suite, 2 VIP staterooms and various guest cabins.

Michael Jordan , 58, and his wife Yvette Prieto , 42, are on the trip of a lifetime! The couple, who married back in 2013, were spotted on a rare public outing as they explored the historic city of Spit, Croatia on Friday, Aug. 27. Michael stayed low key in a casual teal t-shirt, shorts and black leather sneakers, keeping his eyes hidden behind a pair of sunglasses. The iconic NBA champ added a black Air Jordan baseball cap on his head, a nod to his massively successful shoe line with Nike that launched way back in 1985.

The former Chicago Bull , who is worth over a billion dollars, was also sporting some serious bling with a totally iced out watch on his left wrist as well as a silver chain necklace around his neck. Michael looked like he was in total vacation mode as he held onto a brown cup of coffee. At one point, Yvette sweetly linked arms with her 6’6″ beau, showing off her own stylish ensemble. The American model stayed breezy in a black linen romper and white Nike sneakers, also adding some pricey accessories to her summer-ready look.

She kept her blonde highlighted hair back with a multi-colored Fendi headscarf, along with a $5,000 nude Chanel vanity case bag, and stacked Cartier LOVE bracelets. Yvette also appeared to be holding her iPhone housed in a Louis Vuitton branded case, finishing her look with a fresh pair of white Nike shoes.

The two are currently vacationing on a super yacht called the O’Pari , per the  Daily Mail . The luxe 95m vessel costs a whopping $1.2 million a week to run, and requires a crew of 29 people for up to 12 guests. Built in 2020, the yacht includes a massive master suite, along with two VIP staterooms and multiple guest cabins. Other amenities on board include an outdoor bar, deck pool, essential jacuzzi and gym for those looking to get a sweat session in while cruising the Mediterranean.

Magic Johnson is cherishing his family time.

The NBA legend, 63, who has been traveling across Europe in a super yacht , shared the latest glimpse into his family vacation as they stopped over in Nerano, Italy for a spectacular dinner night.

"My family and I enjoyed the most amazing meal prepared by Michelin Star Chef Antonio Mellino at Quattro Passi in Nerano, Italy this evening!,” he wrote on Instagram .

“This restaurant has over 12,000 wines and champagnes in its wine cellar. Chef Mellino prepared a fresh sea bass caught this morning and he knocked my socks off; it was the first time I had sea bass in gravy!” he continued. “And it was great to meet Chef Mellino’s awesome team.”

He showed off the one-of-a-kind dish in a photo alongside the chef, sporting a bright smile as he pointed at the food. Johnson wore a navy button down with checkered shorts as he also posed for photos alongside the dinner and waiting staff.

He completed the carousel with a snap of his family, including his wife Cookie ; children, Andre, EJ and Elisa; daughter-in-law Lisa and grandkids Gigi and Avery, who were all wearing various shades of navy, white and black as they posed inside the restaurant.

“It’s nothing like quality family time and Cookie and I are just thrilled that God blessed us with an amazing and awesome family,” Johnson ended his caption.

On Tuesday, Johnson shared on Instagram that his family finally joined him aboard his yacht during his annual summer vacation, sharing a photo of the full Johnson brood posing on the deck with the bright blue ocean behind them.

”Cookie and I are excited to have our kids Andre, EJ, Elisa, our daughter-in-law Lisa and grandkids Gigi and Avery join us on the yacht!” Magic, 63, wrote alongside a photo of the happy group.

Earlier on the trip, the former NBA star had been traveling around the Mediterranean with some of his friends, including Michael Jordan , Samuel L. Jackson and Judge Greg Mathis . He posted a photo of them with their wives as they dined at  Da Paolino Ristorante in Capri, Italy.

Over recent weeks, the group traveled on the 296-foot boat visiting Greece and France. They enjoyed dinner at Michelangelo in Antibes and indulged in the fresh sea bass at the Hotel Cala di Volpe in Sardinia, according to Magic’s social media posts.
