Sunreef Yachts Debuts “Floating Mansion” 100 Power Supercat
Sunreef Yachts, the renowned Polish catamaran builder, debuted its latest masterpiece at the Cannes Yachting Festival: the 100 Sunreef Power luxury catamaran – it’s jaw-dropping.
The 100 Sunreef Power marks a significant milestone in the company’s expansion into the superyacht sector, offering a remarkable blend of space, luxury, and performance.
The 100 Sunreef Power showcases a vast main saloon that integrates the yacht’s expansive deck spaces, creating a harmonious flow between indoor and outdoor areas. The master suite comes complete with direct access to the bow terrace – and ocean views. Five additional guest staterooms ensure ample accommodation for family and friends.
One of the yacht’s most notable features is a partially enclosed flybridge, which houses a custom cigar lounge and 85-inch television. The 16m-wide walkaround beach club is another highlight, featuring foldout platforms and an invisible aft garage that provides easy access to water toys and diving equipment.
Powered by twin 1,300hp engines, the 100 Sunreef Power delivers reliable performance and an extended cruising range. The yacht’s catamaran design ensures smooth motion at sea, enhancing comfort during long voyages.
60 Power Eco Also Makes a Splash
In addition to the 100 Sunreef Power, the company also premiered the all-electric 60 Power Eco at Cannes. Like earlier Eco models, this smaller addition to the Eco range also offers the shipyard’s innovative solar power system with photovoltaic cells integrated into its hulls, superstructure, and flybridge hard top. This green-energy solution powers both the yacht’s propulsion and onboard appliances, offering a glimpse into the future of eco-friendly luxury yachting.
Sunreef Yachts also revealed plans for its flagship model in the Ultima catamaran range, the Ultima 111. This 33.8m yacht will be designed in collaboration with Dutch design agency Phathom Studio and built at the company’s facility in Ras al Khaimah, UAE.

Established in the port city of Gdansk in 2002 by French businessman Francis Lapp, Sunreef Yachts is a world-leading shipyard specialising in the design and construction of bespoke luxury catamarans and multihull superyachts.
History of the Sunreef Yachts shipyard
Behind the success and dynamic development of the Sunreef Yachts shipyard lies the leadership of its founder and president, Francis Lapp who launched the company in the historic port city of Gdansk, Poland in 2002.
That year, operations at a production hall rented at the Gdańsk Shipyard where preparation for construction of the company's first yacht build, the Sunreef 74 (22.5m long), took shape. The Sunreef 74 was the first seagoing catamaran with a flybridge (sun deck), where the main control station and lounging area were placed.
Sunreef Yachts introduced the yachting world to many groundbreaking solutions. The shipyard manufactured the world’s first luxury catamaran with a flybridge. In 2008 the company launched the world’s first double deck power catamaran with oceanic range – the 70 Sunreef Power JAMBO. In 2010 the shipyard unveiled the first double deck sailing catamaran and multihull superyacht: the Sunreef 102 Ipharra. Sunreef Yachts also developed the world’s first carbon built catamaran-superyacht and the first folding mast on a catamaran-superyacht.
In 2017, Sunreef Yachts launched their updated sailing line of bespoke catamarans: Sunreef 50, Sunreef 60, Sunreef 70 and Sunreef 80. Without waiting long, the shipyard also unveiled the new power range of catamarans, including the 60 Sunreef Power, 70 Sunreef Power, 80 Sunreef Power and 100 Sunreef Power superyacht. The 80 Sunreef Power model proved to be a great success, gaining attention worldwide, most notably of one of the most famous tennis players of all time, Rafael Nadal, who commissioned a bespoke edition of his own.
2019 turned out to be a breakthrough for Sunreef Yachts, when the company announced that it had signed a contract to build a fully custom 49m twin-hulled superyacht, the largest luxury catamaran in the world. In early 2020, Sunreef Yachts confirmed its leading position in the industry by signing a contract to build the first 100 Sunreef Power unit.
Questing for a more environmentally responsible cruising experience, Sunreef Yachts marked a new chapter in its history. In 2019 the shipyard developed a new range of luxury Eco catamarans.
The Sunreef Yachts Eco range is a concept of eco-responsible sailing and power luxury catamarans. The shipyard combines electric propulsion, smart energy management system, in-house produced solar panels and ethically-sourced finishing materials among many solutions for more sustainable yachting experience. Sunreef Yachts Eco catamarans are engineered for optimal fuel efficiency and reduced emissions with hi-tech green features and a universal 360° approach to responsible yachting. In 2020 Sunreef Yachts announced that sustainability entrepreneur and Formula 1® World Champion Nico Rosberg become the Ambassador of Sunreef Yachts Eco.
Key to the shipyard's success is undoubtedly its niche expertise, integrated in-house capabilities with all stages of design and manufacturing completed on premise, tailor-made finishes for each client, impeccable quality, and an ever-evolving yacht range thanks to a commitment to innovation. To provide owners with a full range of services, Sunreef Yachts also has its own charter office, Sunreef Yachts Charter, Yacht Management and technical service.
In 2020, Sunreef Yachts will move its entire headquarters from the center of Gdańsk to a new shipyard with an area of over 85,000 m2.
