This is a fantastic group of people. I'm researching yacht clubs to join, and so far this place is in the lead. Beautiful facilities, well kept docks, friendly helpful members. Great variety of events, something for everyone.
Clean grounds and plenty of amenities. Reciprocal moorage puts you right in the middle of the city. The clubhouse features a full bar, kitchen, dinning room, showers, laundry, and more. Members enjoy access to moorage in Seattle and Bainbridge, as well as reciprocal moorage all over the world. There is also a large shop for working on your boat, a work dock, and a crane to pull take out your runabout. The Bainbridge outstation always holds a big 4th of July party and you can always find people barbequing all summer.

The Yacht Club is a leader in many areas. The Chet Gibson Decorated Boat Parade was started in 1941 and now continues as a memorial to its founder. Some club members have been a part of the Special People's Cruise -- which gives our local challenged citizens an opportunity to get out on the water -- since its inception and are still involved. Club cruises, predicted log races, sail races, member children's' activities, and sailing lessons for juniors are just a few of the activities you'll find.
An active cruise schedule for both sail and power is the routine at Queen City. The Club sponsors the First of Season predicted log contest, and members participate in most of the other log races held in the Puget Sound area. The Sail group participates in local races as well as teaching young people to sail at the club.
Special events like our lighted boat parades at Christmas time and the Special People's Cruise are on the schedule, as is participation in the Opening Day Parade with its multitude of related activities and the 4th Of July parade on Bainbridge Island. Cruise-Ins such as the Bremerton "Big Brother" event and the "Hands Across the Water" cruise with the Meydenbauer Bay Yacht Club are fun and special events in alternating years. Some of the most enjoyable activities are the Friday Night Socials; a get-together with fellow club members for dinner and fun.
