Princess X80

Princess X80

The all-new Princess X80 will be the second member of the X Class ‘Superfly’ family. She has a ‘super flybridge’ which offers over 30% more useful interior space on board than a traditional flybridge yacht of its length. Available with an optional master stateroom on the main deck with a privately owned sundeck, the X80’s adventure capabilities offer the opportunity to explore cruising areas further afield with the option of a large 8,800 liter tank.

The Princess X80 brings the outside in through the maximization of glazing that flows the entire length of the main deck and envelops the saloon, galley and forward dining area. The use of a light and innovative design continues below deck where 8 guests are accommodated in 4 en-suite staterooms, a main beam master stateroom amidships, a forward guest stateroom, a starboard double guest cabin and a port double cabin. Behind the main accommodation is the crew quarters which can accommodate 3 crew members with the standard layout. Life aboard the X80 is really different from other boats of its size.

The capabilities for adventure on the beautifully sculpted X80 provide the opportunity to explore and cruise further than ever before.

Meet the Princess X Class: Super Flybridge Yachts

The Princess X Class range of superyachts was first introduced in 2020 as the new flagship range of superyachts from Princess Yachts. Two models have been brought to the market: the X80 and the X95. These super flybridge yachts offer more useable interior space than their traditional counterparts, and represent the culmination of nearly 50 years of luxury yacht design, to create vessels that reinvent luxury living on the water.

Princess X95 & X80

Princess X95: style and space: The X95 is the largest model of the X-Class and makes quite the first impression. Large and breathtaking, you can’t help but study every inch of this pinnacle of marine engineering. Antony Sheriff Executive Chairman, Princess Yachts, says: ‘The X95 breaks the mould of traditional yacht design. The unique open plan architecture provides 10% more outdoor space and 40% more indoor space than a traditional motor yacht of similar exterior dimensions.’ Beautifully sculpted surfaces and signature long flowing lines define a captivating design ethos on the X95. Expansive spaces create more flexibility thanks to both the flybridge and main deck covering almost the entire length of the yacht.

x class yacht

X95 Exterior

You’ll step aboard and instantly feel that sense of ‘superyacht space’ in the main saloon and a line of sight right through to the forward window and the open-plan galley with dining area. Heading up the internal staircase to the Sky-Lounge on the upper deck opens out to a generous deck featuring a round dining table, relaxed sofa-seating and sun loungers. Taking pride of place on her lower deck is a full beam owner’s stateroom with ensuite. Further exquisitely styled accommodation comprises the forward stateroom with walk-in wardrobe and ensuite bathroom along with port and starboard guest cabins with electronically-converting twin to double beds. Different interior layouts can accommodate up to 10 guests, while generous crew quarters can accommodate 3. With a fuel capacity of 13,400 litres, the X95 has the range for far-reaching, adventurous voyages at speeds up to 23 knots on the sea.

Princess X80: adventure in luxury: Following the immediate success of the Princess X95, the unique X-Class formula was translated into a vessel that reduced in length, without sacrificing substance. The striking X80 retains the ‘super flybridge’ and provides more than 30% more useful interior space onboard than a traditional flybridge yacht of a similar length.

The flow of expansive glazing along the entire length of the main deck brings the outside in, creating a sense of being at one with the ocean. The main deck layout offers the flexibility to be more formal with sliding doors to the galley and an elegant electronic divider over the bar, that transforms the galley from open and sociable to fully enclosed.

X80 Interior Aft

Travel forward to the dining area which offers 270° panoramic toughened glass windows. Alternatively, you can opt for a main deck owner’s stateroom which includes a private sundeck. The X80 also features a breathtaking Sky Lounge that leads to the enclosed pilot house forward, and to an open flybridge deck with ample relaxed seating and an al fresco dining area aft. The use of light, innovative design and craftsmanship continues below deck where up to 8 guests are accommodated across 4 ensuite cabins, a full-beam owner’s stateroom located amidships, a forward guest stateroom, a double and a twin cabin. The X80 is capable of adventures further afield with the option of a long range 8,800 litre tank. Fitted with MAN V12 1900mph engines, she can even reach speeds up to 31 knots.

Pocket Luxury Yacht

The X4⁰ is the smallest model in the Pure X range; blending quality, performance and styling with cruising capability.

Hot out of the X-Yachts Design Office came the X4⁰, a forty-foot performance cruising yacht that is just as capable for some serious mileage, as it is blasting around the cans at the weekends. The new baby Luxury X-Yacht joins the hugely successful and critically acclaimed Pure X range.

The design philosophy was very clear from the outset - like all our yachts, we place a huge emphasis on giving the owner a superb and comfortable sailing experience, on a yacht that is easy to handle by all the crew.

X-Yachts has developed an online web-configurator for each of the Pure X models, enabling you to design your own version of the sail yacht. Configure your own dreams.

x class yacht

Light, strong and stiff

With the introduction of the X-65 in 2007, X-Yachts started to infuse hulls for performance yachts, utilising epoxy resin. Epoxy infusion construction offers fantastic control over the laminate, allowing it to be optimised to maximise strength and stiffness, whilst saving weight.

In the X4⁰, all weight saved is used to increase the yacht’s stability, enabling the crew to have a more relaxed time and to feel safer and more comfortable. The fact, that the hull is cured, baked at high temperatures for almost 24 hours, not only optimises the hull material properties, but also minimises the risk of the darker coloured hull surfaces to suddenly start posturing, losing the surface finish.

With over 10 years of experience building epoxy infused yachts, X-Yachts took the decision in 2018 to build all models using this technology, one of the only yacht builders to do so.

Construction

At the heart of the X4⁰, is the galvanised steel keel grillage structure. Pioneered by X-Yachts back in 1981, the galvanised steel hull girder offers superb reassurance and safety. Its primary role, is to spread keel and mast loads into the hull. It also enables the yacht to withstand extreme shock loads from grounding or an impact with a submersed object.

Not only is the keel structure immensely strong, it is also reliable and very easy to inspect for potential damage.

Bolted to the steel grillage, is the keel with iron fin and heavy lead bulb with moderate draft. There is both a shallow and a deep draft option available.

Construction

Deck layout

The standard deck layout comes with: 4 winches, two halyards, self-tacker sheet and control line winches next to the entrance, and two main sheet winches aft of the cockpit’s backrest coamings, within reach of the helmsman. The deck has an integrated recessed self-tacker track for an 88% jib.

There is an option for coach roof top, longitudinal Genoa tracks and two dedicated Genoa sheet winches on top of the cockpit backrest coamings, enabling the Genoa size to go up to 106% for improved light wind performance.

Interior luxury

Interior luxury

The interior of the X4⁰ is designed to maximise the space available, creating a functional, safe and stylish user experience below deck. Once again, the interior design will have Danish design flair and carpentry at its very best.

The craftsmanship and detailing will be of a very high standard, being both traditional but with a modern appearance. The wooden veneer will be Nordic Oak as standard, with other options on offer.

x class yacht

Two Cabin Layout

The two cabin layout has a head compartment with separate shower compartment and features a forward-facing navigation station with full length sofa.

Three Cabin Layout

Three Cabin Layout

The three cabin layout has an innovative aft facing chart table that can be neatly stowed out of the way when not in use. The three cabin layout is available from Spring 2020.

X4⁰

The X4⁰ can sail fast and point high to the wind thanks to its powerful lines, precision moulded composite T keel with a heavy bulb of lead giving a high degree of stability.
