Located just 10 minutes from the Perth CBD, Swan River Sailing is an exciting and engaging option for company teambuilding activities and events.
Swan River Sailing boasts a range of Corporate Sailing Charters and team building options.
Our customised team building programs are delivered by Swan River Sailing’s Ambassadors, Graeme Spence and Tessa Parkinson OAM.
Graeme competed in the 36th and 37th America’s Cup and works in the professional sports industry, specialising in high-performing teams.
In 2008, Tessa Parkinson OAM won Gold in the Women’s 470 class at the Beijing Olympics with Elise Rechichi OAM.
Graeme and Tessa use their experience to engage participants and impart their knowledge of high-performing teams in a customised program to suit your team.
Action the learning outcomes by heading out on the water with other high-profile instructors to allow teams to put theory into practice in a series of short course races, focussing on communication, emotional regulation, dealing with difficult conversations and working effectively as a team in the journey towards peak performance.
If your team doesn’t need a customised team building program, maybe our Corporate Sailing Charters would be a better fit.
If you’re looking for a day out of the office for your team, our Corporate Away Day Packages are the perfect option for 8 to 18 people. The package includes all-day meeting room hire, conference facilities, AV equipment, catering and an afternoon Corporate Sailing Charter .
Double the fun and upgrade the race package to the Pirates of the Swan Challenge! See below for more details.
Swan River Sailing and Total Team Building have put together the ultimate fun team building experience – the Pirates of the Swan Challenge!
Start the day at the venue of your choice, head out on the water for a practice sail on our yachts before setting off your own adventure to collect code words from GPS locations around the Swan River. The first team ashore gains an advantage as teams then complete obstables and challenges ashore to collect more code words required to solve the pirate code and unlock the treasure chest. The first team to do so claims the prizes within!
Larger conference facilities are available at the Royal Perth Yacht Club or venue of your choice for groups of 19+ people with catering and meeting equipment for your group. Combine your conference with an afternoon focussed on team building on the Swan River.

How does it work?
The levy is broken down into two equal instalments of $197.50. Each installment will be charged at the beginning of each period. (1st June and the 30th November) one every six months. This charge will be placed on the accounts of Members in each “Full” category including Family and under 30 and Social Members.
The levy for Full Members between 24 and 27 and Centreboard Members shall be equal to 50% of a Full Members HSS.
What do I need to do to get the most value from the levy?
Simply come down to the Club, purchase food or beverage, come to a Club social event, or deck yourself out in Club merchandise. Make sure this purchase is charged to your membership account.
At the end of the 6 month period, the Club will total your qualifying purchases, and give you a credit back to your RPYC account for that amount, up to the maximum amount of the House Support Levy ($180.00)
Please note that if you have not spent the full amount of your House Support Levy within the period, the Club will invest the remainder into furthering the Club objectives.

In July he comes to lunch and spends $50, in September he attends a Club event to the value of $80 and then purchases a Club shirt to the value of $30. All these purchases he charges to his Membership account.
On the 30th of November, John receives a credit to his account of $180.
