There is an array of condo options from the simple low-rise buildings to extravagant high-rise condos. Condo units range in size from approximately 1,000 square feet to over 3,000 square feet. Gulf Harbour is like living at the Ritz! Everything is beautifully decorated and landscaped. The restaurant and bar are fabulous, the pools are always perfectly clean and the fitness center has everything you could want. My husband and I use all the amenities here but his favorite is the golf course. This year we are boat shopping and hope to get a slip here in our marina so we can enjoy the water even more!

Well kept community. We've owned a few homes here. However, there's a couple stuck-up members that give the whole place a bad vibe. I've been kicked off the course because they thought I wasn't a member -- total discrimination for the average low-key and modest folk. There's also rules like no golf course fishing that I'd like revoked. I see no harm in fishing on the course at 10 PM at night. A friend of mine got in trouble for dropping off his 70 year old mother at the gas dock. Too many rules and it's ludicrous. The security would give their own grandmother a speeding ticket. Overall, there are some great people that live here but there's a few things that just ruin it.

Situated alongside the picturesque Caloosahatchee River, this expansive community spans 250 acres of riverfront property. Residents can indulge in an array of amenities, including an 18-hole executive golf course, 13 well-lit Har-Tru tennis courts, a Sports Complex complete with 8 pickleball courts and 3 bocce courts, a serene competition-sized swimming pool, 18 stocked fishing lakes, and beautifully landscaped paths. The community comprises of 12 condominium associations and 2 homeowner associations. In addition, Riverside Yacht Club Estates, a homeowners association, is located within the community. What Golfers are Saying

I hope my 1 star shows up! It seemed like it wouldn't take. I would give it 1/2 star if I could. Why bother playing here when there are over a hundred other wonderful courses you can play in the SW Florida area - there is just no need to play at this club. Just NOT worth it. To begin with - when you arrive the convoluted way it is set up for parking, dropping off your clubs, you get into a really bad cart, and then you have to drive a strange 1/2 mile to get back over to the driving range and Pro Shop. The carts are awful with no GPS and such touchy brakes that you have to worry about being thrown out of the cart when they are used. The staff is rather unfriendly and very uncooperative. The Pro Shop is sparse. Amenities are a completely unknown item here; there are none. The practice area and the range over water are a joke - old sinking range balls. Then, there is the course. Narrow, not in great condition, and not particularly attractive or fun. So if you want to waste your time and money -- have at it. But seriously, there are at least 30 other golf courses that are infinitely more enjoyable with better staff and amenities. I would rather play anywhere but here.

Within the main course there is also a shorter executive course.

The tennis leagues at Gulf Harbour are more plentiful and active than any other in Southwest Florida. The club has over 300 tennis members, and over 20 teams. There are eight lighted courts that include shaded bleachers for spectators.

Wellness & Fitness Center

The wellness center at Gulf Harbour puts many professional gyms and fitness clubs to shame. With over 24,000 square feet and state of the art equipment, it has everything a member could want. In addition to the self-paced machines, there are weekly fitness classes such as Barre and Spinning.

All of this is of course at a price. Initial buy in for the country club is $60,000 with annual dues of $10,260. If you want to join the social membership, that initiation fee is only $12,000 with annual dues of $5,050. This is of course in addition to the HOA fee that you pay for maintaining the community grounds, pools, etc.

Memberships are limited to only 400 individuals, which helps to ensure you’ll be able to get a tee time when you want one.

About Our Club

The Gulf Harbour Yacht Club was formed in 1996 as a cruising and social club for boaters already living and/or having their boats moored in Gulf Harbour.  Located within the Gulf Harbour community, the Yacht Club is a separate entity from the Gulf Harbour Marina and the Gulf Harbour Country Club.

The Gulf Harbour Yacht Club promotes the enjoyment, knowledge, and safety of boating through organized cruises and social functions.  Boating activities include extended cruises throughout Florida and monthly lunch cruises to various waterfront restaurants in the Ft. Myers area.  On the social front, club members meet monthly for a Boaters’ Night and again for a dinner meeting.

The LYC is a boating and social club within The Landings Yacht, Golf and Tennis Club, a gated community in Fort Myers, Florida. The club was formed in 1980 and is open to all Landings residents. We strive to provide our members with fun activites both afloat and on land. The LYC (and its members) belong to the Yachting Club of America, a national assocication of yacht clubs.

About the owner: We live in Wisconsin, but love to escape to our condo in Gulf Harbour whenever time permits. Our children are now adults, but we have enjoyed wonderful family vacation times at the nearby beaches, the Gulf Harbour pools, the beautiful grounds and of course the restaurants! During our summers in Wisconsin, we love to go boating on the Great Lakes.

Why this property? Of course we are biased, but we feel that the entire Gulf Harbour community is lovely, and friendly! It has the only full-sized marina in the area, which we appreciate as boaters. Plus, it's fun to walk along the docks and admire the beautiful boats!

This beautiful condo exceeded our expections!

First of all, the condo owner was very easy to deal with on this booking. Super communicator. As for the property, the pictures don't do the condo justice. It is tastfully and comfortably furnished with high-end touches. The bedding, towels, furniture and kitchen appliances were high quality. The condo was nice and quiet. The neighborhood pool was just down the street. The pool was heated and very pleasant. Gulf Harbour is truly conveniently located and a beautiful community.We'd highly recommend this property and host. First rate. You'll love it.

All around fabulous

Everything was perfect. The condo was perfectly decorated, absolutely spotless, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. The community was kept up beautifully and walking around the marina was a plus ! The owner was very responsive to all questions and great to rent from. I would definately return, however, the HOA does not allow pets in rentals and the next time I come to Florida, I would like to bring out pets. Do not hesitate to rent this condo !

Such a pleasant stay in warm Florida sunshine.

The location and surrounding area was great for us safe, secure, and pleasant to walk around in. Having the beaches and shopping within a 5-10 minute drive is perfect. The unit we stayed in was clean, beautiful, and quiet. The owner is easy and very accessible to communicate with. We would stay there again!

Tamarind Cay condo in Fort Myers.

My wife and I had a very pleasant experience during our stay at this Gulf Harbor condo in Tamarind Cay with golf course view. Great community with very nice pool and lots of space for long walks. The condo is very cozy and comfortable and has a lot of space including a dining room, family room and a cozy TV/reading room. Easy in/out off McGregor Blvd and a few miles from every thing. Great and clear communications with owner. We would recommend it to any of our friends.

Wonderful Place to Stay

Gulf Harbour is a lovely place to stay. The condo offered all the conveniences you’d expect in a high quality residence and is fully equipped with everything you need. A short walk to the beautiful pool/hot tub area along with walking paths throughout the neighborhood complimented the unit that overlooks the well-manicured golf course. Plenty of room and lots of amenities - we had a great time!

This is a great condo situated in a quiet location. Easy access to stores, restaurants and beaches. Within minutes you’re on your way to Sanibel and Captiva islands. Situated on a private golf course in Gulf Harbor, you’ll have a beautiful view of the the palm tree lined course while relaxing on the lanai. All your daily needs are right here in the home. A heated private swimming pool is within minutes walking distance. This is a beautifully landscaped community you’ll want to visit again and again!

Great home away from home

Great place with everything you need. If not shopping and dining conveniently near the unit. Beaches also very close. Owner will provide you with great info for the area. I didn’t get to spend much time in the condo due to my work schedule but when I did it was nice relaxing on the lanai that overlooked the golf course and just the overall quiet time it provided.

Wonderful 2 bedroom condo in a prime location

My wife and I were extremely pleased with what we got for the money. The condo was even better than anticipated. 2 nice size bedrooms and den, fully stocked kitchen to make meals at home when you wanted and the location on the 5th hole of the Gulf Harbour Golf Club was great. We enjoyed eating out on the Lanai and watching the golfers hit approach shots onto the green in front of us. Another nice feature is the ability to use the owners sports membership (for a fee) to gain access to the beautiful health club, tennis courts, pools, restaurants and the golf course for at least a couple rounds in high season. The Gulf Harbour grounds are expansive and beautiful. We went for many walks and even used the owners 2 bikes to go for a ride around the neighborhoods. 15 minutes to beaches, 20 minutes to Sanibel, 25 minutes to downtown Fort Myers, just a perfectly located and comfortable place to call home for awhile.

Cape Coral stakeholder groups tours the Yacht Club to determine what will be saved

A select group of residents shared their goodbyes and ideas for new beginnings they toured for what may be their last time in the closed-off Yacht Club Ballroom building as the city ponders and prepares to determine what parts of the historic building it will preserve.

Michael Przystawik, 62, said he appreciated the opportunity to give his input on a facility that means so much to him. He was among 12 residents drawn at random from 1,500 volunteers that the city selected as a stakeholder group. Ten of them toured the Hurricane Ian-damaged building Wednesday morning.

"It will be sad to see it go," Przystawik said. "Cape Coral has nothing historic left. We used to have the Gulf American Land building on the corner of Cape Coral Parkway and Del Prado, but that's gone. The Rose Gardens are gone. There's really nothing left, so this is sort of the last stone."

His parents were founding members of the German-American Club in Cape Coral, when the club used the Yacht Club for meetings.

Whether it was Oktoberfest, training for competitive swimming, or even Santa making an appearance, it's a place that holds so much meaning to residents like him who remember the old Cape Coral.

Cape Coral was founded in 1957 by brothers Jack and Leonard Rosen and developed as a planned community, and the Yacht Club area developed in the early 1960s.

"Because I started coming here when I was so little, it's just you walk into this voluminous space and there's just a feeling," Przystawik said. "I can walk in here today and feel like I'm walking in there in the 1970s, so I'll miss that."

Przystawik was among the 14 selected by the City of Cape Coral to provide a list of recommendations on what to preserve. Two were a no-show.

The other two, the representatives of the youth council and the historical society, will have a separate tour due to scheduling difficulties.

Ultimately, the council will look at the group's recommendations and vote to approve what to preserve.

The demolition of the yacht club's existing building has been contentious as residents and officials are mixed on the council's decision to take a "clean slate" approach in January to renovate the area and its facilities after Hurricane Ian paused the initial renovation plans.

The park contains the main ballroom, Tony Rotino Center, tennis courts, a pool, a pier, and a beach; all of which will be affected by the upcoming renovations.

Since then, residents have petitioned the city to stop the demolition of the main ballroom and preserve it.

Despite the opposition, the council approved an amended contract with Kimley Horn in June.

The city of Cape Coral is eyeing an early 2024 date for the demolition and preservation of parts of the ballroom, which could cost up to $1 million.

James Pankonin, a landscape architect and urban designer with Kimley Horn, guided the members throughout the tour.

Pankonin said the consultants have already looked at elements worth preserving. They include the ceiling beams, stonework from the sides of the building and the fireplace, and the terrazzo flooring.

Przystawik agrees with the assessment but especially wants to see the fireplace preserved. The fireplace is made up of rectangular stones that reach over 6 inches each with a funnel reaching to the roof.

"If we don't save the fireplace, where is Santa going to sit every Christmas?" Przystawik said. He also suggests using the high beams as a decorative element rather than going through the hassle of incorporating it in the engineering.
