The layout of this boat is ideal for 8 persons, two double cabins with bunk beds at the bow, sharing one head with a shower. Two double cabins with flat double beds at the stern. A very comfortable dinette, full equipped kitchen, one more head next to the chart table. Spacious interior with all the amenities a 14,50 meter boat can give you.

Gouvia Marina is located on the east side of the island and just 7kms from the Corfu airport where charter flights arrive. The marina is a short 15 minute taxi ride from the airport arrivals exit. Public transport options are also available.

If you are arriving as a group, we are happy to organise a private transfer for you from the airport by minibus with our reliable partners, simply let us know the details of your arrival and we will advise accordingly.

With a one-week yacht charter , you will typically sail along the coast of Corfu and potentially down to Lefkas . Day 1: Gouvia Marina to Agios Stefanos Bay (15 NM, 3 hours)

Begin your sailing adventure by embarking from Gouvia Marina and setting sail towards the picturesque Agios Stefanos Bay on the northwestern coast of Corfu, covering about 15 nautical miles in approximately 3 hours. You will enjoy the breathtaking views of the Corfu coastline and the Ionian Sea along the way. Anchor in the sheltered bay for the night and explore the charming village of Agios Stefanos , known for its traditional tavernas and beautiful beaches.

Day 2: Agios Stefanos to Petriti Bay (25 NM, 5 hours)

Set sail from Agios Stefanos towards Petriti Bay on the southeastern coast of Corfu, covering 25 nautical miles in around 5 hours. Along the way, you'll pass picturesque fishing villages . lush green hills and plenty of spots to stop for a swim. Upon arrival in Petriti Bay, enjoy the serene atmosphere and crystal-clear waters . Visit the local tavernas, offering fresh seafood and traditional Greek dishes. Anchor for the night and enjoy the tranquility of this beautiful bay.

Day 3: Petriti Bay to Syvota (15 NM, 3 hours)

Depart from Petriti Bay and head towards the bustling mainland town of Syvota , a journey of 15 nautical miles that should take around 3 hours. Syvota is a popular destination with beautiful beaches and coves , surrounded by green hills and olive groves. Explore the lively waterfront, visit local shops, and dine at the numerous waterfront tavernas. Anchor at the marina for the night , taking in the vibrant atmosphere.

Day 4: Syvota to Lakka Bay (20 NM, 4 hours)

Leave Syvota Marina behind and sail towards the idyllic Lakka Bay on the northern tip of Paxoi Island . Covering 20 nautical miles in about 4 hours, you'll navigate through stunning turquoise waters and pass by small, picturesque islets. Lakka Bay is known for its crystal-clear waters and vibrant waterfront . Anchor in the bay, explore the village, and sample local cuisine at the tavernas.

Day 5: Lakka Bay to Gaios Port (9 NM, 2 hours)

Set sail from Lakka Bay to Gaios Port on the southern end of Paxoi Island , a short journey of 9 nautical miles that should take around 2 hours. Gaios is a charming port town with a rich history and stunning Venetian architecture . Wander through the narrow streets, visit the local shops, and enjoy the lively atmosphere at the waterfront bars and restaurants. Anchor in the port for the night.

Day 6: Gaios Port to Parga (25 NM, 5 hours)

Leave Gaios Port and head towards the mainland, arriving at Parga after a 25-nautical-mile sail that takes about 5 hours. Parga is a picturesque town with a rich history, dominated by the impressive Venetian Castle . Anchor in the bay near the castle, and take a sea taxi ashore to explore the cobbled streets, vibrant waterfront, and historical sites. Don't forget to visit the castle itself for panoramic views of the Ionian Sea .

Day 7: Parga to Garitsa Bay and Gouvia Marina (35 NM, 7 hours)

On the final day of your sailing adventure, set sail from Parga towards Garitsa Bay , located near the historic Corfu Castle . Covering 35 nautical miles in approximately 7 hours. Be sure to get started early to allow time for swimming stops along the southern coast of Corfu as you make your way back to Gouvia Marina for disembarkation.

Lenco Yachts’ home port is Gouvia Marina. It is situated about 6 kilometres from the town of Corfu and 7 kilometres from the International Airport. The total capacity is 1235 berths, on both permanent and floating pontoons, while there are dry dock facilities for approximately 520 boats. Moorings are available for boats up to 80 meters long and with 5.5 meters draught, for short or long term periods.

The marina operates all year round on a 24-hour basis. Two green and two red lights mark the approach channel to the marina and all boats are required to call the marina on the VHF, channel 69 in order to receive instructions.

In the 3.500 sq.m.of building facilities, a number of different services are available, such as commercial shops, car, motorbike and boat rental offices, restaurants, bars and cafe, Port Police office, Fuel Station, supermarket, laundry, showers and WC facilities. The broad quaysides include kinder garden, a swimming-pool, sports facilities as well as a cricket and a croquet field, sports with great tradition in Corfu. The surrounding area is very attractive while the whole complex is in perfect harmony with the traditional architecture of Corfu.

Fresh water and 220V electricity is provided free of charge at each berth. A Fuel Station is to be found on the northern side of the marina. The friendly and efficient staff will attend promptly to your needs for petrol diesel, oil, filters, and drinking water. Facilities for the disposal of biological waste are also to be found here. Fuel can be paid only at the Fuel Station.

You will receive your sailing boat full of fuel. You are due to bring it back full.

WI-FI Wireless internet access is available. .

Shower and W.C facilities Four blocks of toilet and shower facilities are located in the marina. These may be used at any time except during the daily cleaning period, when we would ask for your co-operation. Separate toilet facilities are available for those with special needs.

Laundry and Drying Facilities Fully equipped self-service laundry and drying facilities are to be found at the toilet and shower unit in the centre of the marina. Furthermore, the helpful staff of the Laundry runs a delivery and collection service for laundry and dry cleaning. Tel.: 2661 091418, 2661 091759, 6977396635.

Medical First Aid The marina medical centre offers first aid facilities, and will of course assist in every way possible in arranging for the treatment of more serious cases.

Transportation Car and motorbike rental offices operate in the marina. The reception staff can call a taxi for you at any time, and can provide information on local bus services. Please observe the 30-kph speed limit within the marina.

Parking Facilities for the parking of cars and boat trailers are available free of charge to our guests. Please park only at the designated areas. Parking is not permitted on the quayside. The marina is not responsible for the loss or theft of items from parked vehicles.

Rubbish Disposal Both large and small rubbish receptacles are conveniently distributed throughout the marina. There are also special receptacles for the disposal of used oil. Please do not leave rubbish outside these containers, and do not throw rubbish into the sea.

Security The entrances to the marina are manned by private security guards on a 24-hour basis. Both on and off shore there is constant surveillance by security cameras and the personnel of the marina, either from the control tower or by means of regular patrols around the pontoons. Safety ladders and lifebelts are located along all the pontoons.

Port Police The office of the Port Police is to be found at the Public Services building.

Banks Banks in Corfu are open Monday to Friday, 08.00 to 13.30. For your convenience an ATM machine is located outside the marina office.

Shopping In the marina you can find a supermarket and a chandlery shop covering most of your essential requirements as well as a diving equipment shop and a jewellery shop.

Entertainment Restaurants, bars and cafes are located in the quayside. You can also enjoy a swim in the swimming pool while there is also a kindergarden, a cricket and a croquet field.

As Gouvia marina is Lenco Yachts’ home port, we provide for free all the marina facilities. Lenco Yachts’ mooring is free of charge if you decide not to leave at the same day or if you decide to come back for supplies in the middle of your vacation or if you decide to come back earlier.

The weather : The Ionian Sea generally experiences a north-west to west-north-west wind that ranges from 10 to 15 knots. It should be noted that winds in northern Corfu can blow strong at times, making for an exciting sailing trip. Air temperatures on the island of Corfu are at an average of 25�C in high summer, but often into the 30s. The average sea temperature is a pleasant 25�C or so.

Gouvia Marina

Gouvia Marina, part of the D-Marin group, is located on the exquisite Ionian island of Corfu, or Kerkira, off the west coast of Greece. It creates a natural link between the Adriatic and the Mediterranean Seas and is an impressive place to visit or take a charter from. Gouvia Marina is the largest marina in Greece

World renowned, it is a popular place for sailing yachts and superyachts from all over. For beginners and experienced sailors alike, sailing in the area is ideal. To the northwest of Corfu lie the Diapontian Islands - Mathraki, Othonoi, and Erikoussa. Approach from the north to the first is tricky, as it is surrounded by shallow reefs. The other two islands are a good and increasingly popular place for first port of call for vessels approaching from the Adriatic.

The outstanding natural beauty and lushness of the Ionian Islands have been marveled at since ancient times. Legend has it that Odysseus sailed these waters on his journey home from the Trojan wars. The northeast coast is a sailor’s dream, with its easy access to shore, and calm, pristine waters. The other Ionian Islands in this group are further afield, for the more adventurous.

This marina is also a fine location for super yachts. Contemporary Corfu has a range of luxury accommodation and dining as well as a world class golf club, horse riding clubs, tennis clubs, cricket courts and water sports facilities.

Gouvia Marina has 1,235 berths, supplied with 24-hour power and water and a 600 dry dock capacity. Berths are available for yachts up to 80 m long with a 5.5 m draft on a short or long term basis. There are also many charter boats for rent from here.

A number of different services are available; shops, restaurants, bars and cafes, and a supermarket. Wireless internet is accessible via a pre-paid card; there is outdoor car parking, 24-hour security with guards and CCTV and a fire warning and extinguishing systems.  Along the quayside are a children’s playground, a gym, a swimming-pool, and a cricket field that host international games.

The well-equipped boatyard has 2 travel lifts for up to 65T and 75T respectively.  There are three mobile cranes 65T, 45T and 20T and a small 5T crane. Services offered include   hull pressure washing and cleaning, engine maintenance and repair, electric and electronic service or repair, carpentry and upholstery, refrigeration systems,     ventilation, bilge control, air conditioning,   battery control and charging and general cleaning works. There is also a fuel station and diving services.

Gouvia Marina, the first privately owned marina in Greece, is situated about 6 kilometres from the town of Corfu and 7 kilometres from the International Airport. For many years sea men considered the harbour and the bay of Gouvia as a natural link between the Adriatic and the Mediterranean Sea as well as a port of call, where they could sail in, to repose, enjoying the climate and the beauties of the island.

In the 17th century Venetian seamen selected the area of Gouvia as an ideal location for creating a naval station and shipyards, remains of which have survived in the region. This tradition has been maintained until today while sailing yachts and motor boats from all over the world arrive at Gouvia Marina, enjoying the beauties of the sea and the environment, the cool breeze and the beautiful island of Corfu.

The Marina, fully organised, offering facilities and services of high standards, has been operating under the new management since 1996. The total capacity is 1235 berths, on both permanent and floating pontoons, while there are dry dock facilities for approximately 520 boats. Moorings are available for boats up to 80 meters long and with 5.5 meters draught, for short or long term periods.

The marina operates all year round on a 24-hour basis. Two green and two red lights mark the approach channel to the marina and all  boats are required to call the marina on the VHF, channel 69 in order to receive instructions. The marina’s boat and personnel will provide all necessary assistance. After your arrival, you have to check in at the reception office where you will also be informed about all the details concerning your stay.

Facilities/Services In the 3.500 sq.m.of building facilities, a number of different services are available, such as commercial shops, car, motorbike and boat rental offices, restaurants, bars and cafe, Port Police office, Fuel Station, supermarket, laundry, showers and WC facilities. The broad quaysides include kinder garden, a swimming-pool, sports facilities as well as a cricket and a croquet field, sports with great tradition in Corfu. The surrounding area is very attractive while the whole complex is in perfect harmony with the traditional architecture of Corfu.

Berthing The marina has a mooring capacity of approximately 1235 yachts, on both permanent and floating pontoons. Distribution of berths is based on the dimensions of the boats. Moorings are available for stay on a short or long term basis, and boats up to 80 metres long and with 5.5 metres draught can be accommodated. At all berths electricity is available (220V and 380V) as well as fresh water, while permanent laid moorings guarantee the safety of boats moored here.

Off-shore anchoring in the marina area is not permitted, except for short-term in the case of emergency. Upon arrival at the Marina, you are required to complete the check-in formalities at the Reception Office.

Reception Office The marina is open all year round on a 24-hour basis. The Reception Office is located at the Administration building, where our friendly staff will assist you with all arrival formalities, deal with any problems that might arise and provide you with any kind of information you might need.

The opening hours of the Reception Office vary according to the season. You may call the Office or the Duty Officer on the VHF, channel 69.

Electricity and Water Fresh water and 220V electricity is provided free of charge at each berth. The supply of 380V electricity is metered and charged accordingly. Should you require cables or plugs, these are available at the chandlery.

Potable water is available at the fuel station at a small charge, or from the special hydrants which operate with a credit system using cards. You may purchase these from the Reception Office.

Refuelling A Fuel Station is to be found on the northern side of the marina. The friendly and efficient staff will attend promptly to your needs for petrol diesel, oil, filters, and drinking water. Facilities for the disposal of biological waste are also to be found here. Fuel can be paid only at the Fuel Station.

As with any fuel supply station, the observation of safety regulations is essential. For that reason, in this area:

• Smoking is prohibited.
• The use of naked flames and spark-producing devices is prohibited.
• The use of the pumps is restricted to the authorised personnel.

Weather Reports Daily weather reports are displayed on the notice board at the reception. You may also inquire about weather information from the marina office via VHF.

Postal Services Bright yellow mailboxes are located at various points throughout the marina. Letters or parcels should be collected from the Reception Office. The postal address is: Gouvia Marina, Kontokali, 49083, Corfu.

Telephones Public telephone booths are sited in several parts of the marina as well as at the Reception Office, where there is also a fax service. Urgent messages are delivered directly to the boat. Mobile phone services are also to be found in the marina.

Guests’ Office Space A fully equipped area for clients wishing to work or hold meetings can be found in the Administration building. There are also Internet access facilities in the same area.

WI-FI Wireless internet access is available.  Prepaid cards are available at the Reception office.

Shower and W.C facilities Four blocks of toilet and shower facilities are located in the marina. These may be used at any time except during the daily cleaning period, when we would ask for your co-operation. Separate toilet facilities are available for those with special needs.

Laundry and Drying Facilities Fully equipped self-service laundry and drying facilities are to be found at the toilet and shower unit in the centre of the marina. Furthermore, the helpful staff of the Laundry runs a delivery and collection service for laundry and dry cleaning. Tel.: 2661 091418, 2661 091759, 6977396635.

Medical First Aid The marina medical centre offers first aid facilities, and will of course assist in every way possible in arranging for the treatment of more serious cases.

Transportation Car and motorbike rental offices operate in the marina. The reception staff can call a taxi for you at any time, and can provide information on local bus services. Please observe the 30-kph speed limit within the marina.

Parking Facilities for the parking of cars and boat trailers are available free of charge to our guests. Please park only at the designated areas. Parking is not permitted on the quayside. The marina is not responsible for the loss or theft of items from parked vehicles.

Rubbish Disposal Both large and small rubbish receptacles are conveniently distributed throughout the marina. There are also special receptacles for the disposal of used oil. Please do not leave rubbish outside these containers, and do not throw rubbish into the sea.

Security The entrances to the marina are manned by private security guards on a 24-hour basis. Both on and off shore there is constant surveillance by security cameras and the personnel of the marina, either from the control tower or by means of regular patrols around the pontoons. Safety ladders and lifebelts are located along all the pontoons.

Port Police The office of the Port Police is to be found at the Public Services building.

Banks Banks in Corfu are open Monday to Friday, 08.00 to 13.30. For your convenience an ATM machine is located outside the marina office.

Shopping In the marina you can find a supermarket and a chandlery shop covering most of your essential requirements as well as a diving equipment shop and a jewellery shop.

Entertainment Restaurants, bars and cafes are located in the quayside. You can also enjoy a swim in the swimming pool while there is also a kindergarden, a cricket and a croquet field.

Travel Information By yacht If you plan to visit Corfu with your own boat, a pleasant journey awaits you, for which the following may prove useful. Please use them as general guideline. Distances between the main Greek ports to Gouvia Marina:

By air The quickest way of reaching Corfu is by air. These days a number of domestic flights from Athens and Thessalonica take place on a daily basis all year round, with Olympic Airways and Aegean Airlines. The duration of the flight from either city is about 40 minutes. International flights are scheduled throughout the year while during the summer period (April – October), there are many charter flights connecting Corfu directly with several European cities.

By ship When it comes to getting here by sea, there are a number of alternatives. There are daily ferryboats connecting Corfu with Igoumenitsa, with timetables which change according to season. Large ferries depart from Patras to Italy (Bari, Brindisi, Ancona, Venice) and vice versa, usually with a stop at Corfu.

By car Driving from abroad to Corfu by car one reaches the Italian ports, from where it is necessary to continue by ferry. From Athens, the distance is aproximately 550 km – 5 hours drive to Igoumenitsa, from where one takes the ferry to Corfu.

Suggested Itinerary

Corfu and Northern Ionian Islands  

Day 1 Check in, meet guests, establish their wishes for the week – proportion of time spent sailing, moored up, swimming, being onshore. Shake down sail to get used to the boat – back in to Gouvia for the night. Eat and explore ashore in Gouvia town, or option of taxi to Corfu Town.

Day 2 A good day’s sailing – early start – sail to Platarias. Lunch stop at anchor along the way. Stay at Platarias for the night.

Day 3 Relaxed day – take it easy in the morning, have a lazy breakfast, sail out and go exploring the coves, caves and anchorages of Mourtos & Sivota. Back to Mourtos for the night, on the town quay or at anchor.

Day 4 Mourtos to Gaios – a good sail, over to the beautiful channel and harbour at Gaios. Plenty of tavernas and restaurants ashore.

Day 5 Gaois to Lakka – a relaxed day exploring Mongonissi and the beaches of Antipaxos, then around the island of Paxos to Lakka. Stay the night at anchor – go ashore with the dinghy for bars and tavernas.

Day 6 Lakka to Corfu town (Mandraki). Spend the night in Corfu Town if not taken earlier in the week.

Day 7 Relaxed Day Sail, taking in Angi, Ay Stefano on the NE tip of Corfu, before returning to base for the final night.

Day 8 Depart from the Yacht by the agreed time with Omegasail.

This Itinerary is flexible depending on the nature of the guests, their wishes, their sailing desires and capabilities, and is therefore not to be considered binding by either party. Skipper’s decision on what to do and where to go each day remains final for safety matters.
