A sailing holiday is all about that special and liberating feeling. That is why the interior of the Lagoon 46 is very open, making you feel as if you are one with the ocean. Lagoon promises to keep designing catamarans with bright saloons and 360 panoramic views so you can enjoy the colorful scenery wherever you are on board.
The U-shaped galley was designed so that socializing with friends at the aft cockpit while cooking is very easy. The galley comes with a 4 burner stove, dishwasher, lots of storage, and most importantly, enough refrigerators to keep all of your food and drinks coolled. Did you know that the Lagoon 46 has also got a sliding large front window which allows you to easily pass on drinks to friends at the bow as well?
The cabins are very spacious, offering more than enough storage for all belongings. One of the many beautiful and new characteristics which this catamaran model offers is that all beds (in both aft and bow cabins) are the same size - queen beds.
She is a 5-star hotel floating on water. No matter which version you choose (3 or 4 cabin version), each cabin has its own bathroom and toilet.
The 3 cabin owners version has an enormous owner's cabin on the starboard side, with 2 same size cabins on the port side. The 4 cabin version has 4 large cabins.
We decided to divide the exterior into 3 parts and give you a walkthrough of each. These are the places you will mostly be staying at while on board, so let's get into detail:
- Flybridge - the bench seat is large enough for the skipper and guests to be together while sailing. The wide cushions on the flybridge can be transformed into a seating or tanning area, making this area very customizable. The views from up here are the best, so if you are looking for the best place to relax on board, it would most definitely be there.
- Bow cockpit - typical for a Lagoon catamaran, you will find the nets connecting the two hulls of the boat. With a large seating area for socializing, there is a newly added small coffee table where you can enjoy a glass of wine when anchored in a relaxing and calm bay.
Even though she is a 46, the overall length is just under 46’, 45'11'' (13.99m). Her beam is 7.96m and her draft is 1.35m. This allows for anchoring in more shallow waters closer to the beach. This model is often equipped with a watermaker, in which case guests do not have to stress about water at all. She can accommodate up to 12 people so the size of the water tanks (2x300l) is more than sufficient. With 2 fuel tanks, each holding up to 520l of fuel, guests are spared of searching for fuel stations during their holiday as enough fuel fits for a weeks worth of sailing.
The Lagoon 46 has 2 single cabins at the bow which can be used by the crew (skipper and hostess or cook), or a small child. Find out more about skippered charters , and fully crewed charters . If you prefer to sail with a professional crew, Yacht4Less can help you find your charter crew.
As she is lighter than her predecessors, she is able to reach higher speeds. Under power with the standard 2x57 HP engines, she can go up to 8.5 knots if you really push her. Usually you will go up to 7 knots and will still be able to enjoy the noticeable quieter engines.
Under sails, she can go up to 13 knots. Lagoon 46 has the mast moved backwards towards the aft, allowing for more stable and less rocky sailing, minimizing the ‘‘up-and-down’ feeling. As she is a big and powerful catamaran, sailing is made easier with her self tacking jib.
Depending on the time of year, charter prices range from €5400 (£4500) in pre and post season, and up to €12000 (£10000) in high season in Croatia. Prices in Greece and Italy this year are very similar, ranging from €6000 (£5050) to €11,500 (£9600). Keep in mind that these are bareboat prices. Skipper, crew, and extras can be ordered additionally. In high season, daily skippers rates can range from €180 to €200 (average £160), and daily hostesses rates from €120 to €150 (average £110) per day. This beauty is not only spacious and comfortable, she offers impressive designs throughout the interior and exterior. The salon is large and airy, the designs are modern and the layout makes the boat very functional. Each part of the catamaran was designed to perfection and space was used up wisely, creating the ideal catamaran for your sailing holiday.

Lagoon 46 [2022] - Aeolian Islands
The Lagoon 46 is the best seller among the French brand's sailing catamarans, thanks to its elegant lines combined with functionality: it's impossible not to be watched while you sail.
This layout will make sailing enthusiasts very happy thanks to the very easy operations to perform: self-tacking genoa and central helm station raised on the flybridge. With its double access, the Flybridge is dedicated to both maneuvering and relaxation: 4 large sunbeds just behind the Captain complete the equipment on the 3rd floor. LIVING AREA The set-up of the Lagoon 46 catamaran is very classic: two classic "sea" areas, one in the bow with nets and sofa area and one in the stern, a complete cooking area in front, together with a large saloon capable of accommodating a dinette divided into 2 areas: one closed with kitchen, table for 6 and captain's table, plus an external area with an additional table for 6 people + long sofa and aft sofas. No boundaries between inside and outside thanks to a large retractable French door.
SLEEPING AREA
Its strong point is certainly the quality and comfort of the cabins: the interior embraces a refined, elegant and functional style. Even the 4 double cabins adopt impressive volumes, in particular the front cabin where the bed is now as comfortable and spacious as the aft cabins. The extraordinary quality of life on board is guaranteed by an accurate finish and internal lighting and an air conditioning system for cabins and dinettes. (people in 4 double cabins, 2 in the dinette and one in the bow (in the absence of a Skipper), guarantee ample livability for up to 11 guests. OUTDOOR SPACES The bow has a traditional design: a large net offers the best solution for true sailing lovers (and for children's games), without however compromising the possibility of enjoying an aperitif on the comfortable sofas with a small table, just behind the nets. As previously mentioned, the dinette also has an outdoor area (closable with separate curtains in case of bad weather) with a table for 6 people and a long sofa at the aft end, plus a long "dormeuse". With its double access, the Flybridge is dedicated to both maneuvering and relaxation: 2 large sunbeds right behind the Captain and 4 seats next to him complete the set-up of the flybridge of this impressive sailing catamaran.
Capo d'Orlando it is certainly one of the best Marinas in all of Sicily: located right in front of the marvelous Aeolian Islands, it is 2 hours (by car) from the airports of Palermo and Catania.
With a modern and elegant design, the Marina offers everything our Clients need to prepare for embarkation and also to spend happy evenings in the nice lounges and restaurants located on the docks.
And, by the way, it's also proudly our legal address and our operating office, right in front of the yachts.

The prevailing winds around the Aeolian Islands during the summer tend to be from NW or NE, although, in calm weather, light sea breezes can be encountered from any direction blowing onto and between the islands.
While infrequent, gales are not unknown during the spring and early summer and careful forward planning are necessary as there are only two harbours which offer adequate shelter (and even then, not in strong southerlies).

Luxurious Spaces
A sophisticated design
Aboard Lagoon’s next generation sailing catamaran , the award-winning Lagoon 46 , luxury takes the form of space through enlightened design that pushes the boundaries of traditional liveaboard cruising. Naval architects VPLP Design and Patrick le Quément make strides in creating a perfect harmony between pleasurable onboard living and efficient sailing . Modular front and aft cockpits , s weeping flybridge , and an unparalleled interior volume for a mid-size catamaran, make this yacht feel much larger than her 46-foot length. Lagoon 46 designers put to work their year of expertise to achieve world-class seaworthiness, ease of sailing, and performance. And the larger sailing plan, shorter boom and a self-tacking jib come together to make sailing the Lagoon 46 a great joy.
Comfort at Sea
Those that relish open air, sun and wind will immediately gravitate to the Lagoon 46’s sweeping flybridge. Access the flybridge via built-in steps on either side . Once atop the bridge, visibility, handling and comfort underway are optimized by the centered rigging and helm. There is plenty of room for passengers to enjoy the view with plush cushioned seating and double sunbeds.
Both fore and aft, there is no shortage of generous living spaces for socializing or finding your own spot under the sun. The foredeck features cushioned seating and sunbeds , which also houses 3 large storage lockers. Aft, the beamy cockpit allows for large gatherings, and owners can choose between traditional davits, or an electric hydraulic dinghy platform.
Open-Air Ambience
Inside the saloon , Nauta Design takes maximum advantage of the generous volume by creating a refined and functional living space. Large windows provide natural light throughout, and sliding windows to the fore and aft cockpits provide ventilation and a breezy, open-air ambience.
The aft-facing galley is large and well-equipped with the conveniences of home. And fine finishes and cabinet work grace the interior spaces throughout.
The large interior volume carries through to the below deck cabins, where layout options include a 3-cabin/3-bath version with an impressive owner’s suite, or a 4-cabin/4-bath version .

Our Lagoon 46 is the 4-cabin version, each with their own separate bathrooms to provide that extra comfort to each guest. The cabins are very spacious, offering more than enough storage for all belongings. Air conditioning is a great feature on the 46 to help beat the hot Polynesian climate. One of the many beautiful and new characteristics which this catamaran model offers is that all beds (in both aft and bow cabins) are the same size - queen beds.
The U-shaped galley was designed so that socializing with friends at the aft cockpit while cooking is very easy. The galley comes with a 4 burner stove, dishwasher, lots of storage, and most importantly, enough refrigerators to keep all of your food and drinks chilled.
There's also a comfortable fly bridge with cushioned lounging space where you can drive and relax to get the birds eye view of the tropical waters ahead. This is the best spot on the Lagoon 46!
Additional info and Specs-
Even though she is a 46, the overall length is just under at 45'11''. Her beam is 7.96 m and her draft is 1.35m. This allows for anchoring in more shallow waters closer to the beach. This model is equipped with a water maker so guests do not have to stress about conserving water. She can accommodate up to 12 people so the size of the water tanks ( 2 X 300l) is more than sufficient. With 2 fuel tanks, each holding up to 520 L of fuel, guests are spared of searching for fuel stations during their holiday as enough fuel fits for a weeks worth of sailing.

Lagoon 46 (2023) 'Rope the Wind '
The Lagoon 46 catamaran reinforces the fundamentals that have made Lagoon a leader in catamaran sailing.
The sails are easily hoisted and unfurled with electric winches. Together with a shorter boom and a self-tacking jib, the Lagoon 46 allows you to trim the mainsheet car through an electrical Flatwinder for very easy sail trim. A larger sail plan increases the sail area/displacement ratio and the mast is moved aft in line providing a very high aspect ratio.
VPLP Design’s office accomplished the perfect balance between different living spaces.
The wide transoms allow practical and safe access to the sea. There are modular cockpits located at the stern, the bow and on the flybridge so this yacht has room for all your friends and family whether you are at sail, looking to catch some sun or would rather stay cool in the shade. With access from either side, the flybridge is designed for both manoeuvring and relaxing. The centre helm station with a full large helm hard top offers protection and visibility. The large sash bow window gives a great connection between the front cockpit and the saloon.
Designed by Nauta design, the interior of the Lagoon 46 embraces a refined, elegant, and functional style. The owner suite is generous and has an island bed for optimal comfort.
The other cabins also adopt impressive volumes, in particular the front cabin where the bed is now as comfortable and spacious as the aft cabins. She has a starboard bow cabin and a port head that are accessed from the top deck. She also comes with a saloon conversion meaning there’s space for everyone. Each cabin has its own electric head and separate shower unit.
Careful finishings and interior lighting make living-aboard relaxing and comfortable, while her underwater lights make her even more magical after dark.
Notable features include:
- An ice maker
3 refrigerators and a freezer
- Large 75 YETI cooler
Underwater lights
- Complementary can Koozies

Did you know Horizon’s charters start and finish at noon? This means we can get you out sailing your first afternoon after your briefings – remember to watch your video briefings to speed up your check out! At the end of your trip, you sail back to Nanny Cay to refuel and debrief before your noon departure. This gives you a full 6 nights/7 days chartering around our beautiful islands, unlike some companies that start at 5pm, meaning you will have to sleepaboard* at the docks, and then finish at 10am, again meaning you will probably have to stay overnight on the docks the night before you leave to fly home.
*If available, a sleep aboard can be added the night before your charter start for a small supplement, boarding your yacht after 5pm.
Our standard charter rates are applicable for charters of 5 days or more up to a maximum of five weeks. For a tailored quote for charter durations outside this range please contact our reservations team who will be pleased to assits.
Current Rates
Weekly rates (full 7 days / 6 nights) are listed above as daily rates. Charters start and finish at noon. Our minimum charter duration requirement is 5 nights.
BVI Charter Rates are subject to change without notice.

C = Cabins, H = Heads, AC = Air Conditioning, S = Skipper first day only

Super Size your Dinghy
Why not upgrade your yacht tender during your sailing vacation? Get the crew ashore in style and explore more with an upgraded tender. Only $300 per day. Find out more here .
Super Tender your Vacation with Horizon Yacht Charters!
Licensed for 6 persons, this 15ft RIB with 60HP Yamaha outboard will get you and your crew to snorkelling spots and the beach in style and comfort.
Make your charter yacht vacation a breeze – enjoy the comfort of being able to tie up your yacht for the night and then continue exploring the surrounding bays! You can pick up your mooring ball at the Bight and then head to the Indians or the Caves for a snorkel. If you visit the Dogs, there’s no need to choose only one snorkel spot for your lunch stop, zip around them all! A swim ladder makes boarding easy from the water.
For popular spots where it’s trickier to find a mooring, the RIB is the perfect alternative. Settle into Great Harbour, Jost Van Dyke for the night and then take the RIB to White Bay for the afternoon to enjoy painkillers without the hassle of finding a mooring ball or having to move your yacht for the night.
The North Sound boasts a selection of some of the best dining options in the BVI. There’s no need to settle for only one spot when you have the RIB. Pick up provisions from Leverick Bay, enjoy the plunge pool at Nova in Deep Bay, and then zip back to the sound for sundowners at Saba Rock before enjoying dinner at The Bitter End.
If you have a mix of snorkelers, beachgoers, shoppers and sailors onboard then give your group flexibility by taking the standard dinghy included in your charter as well. This will also remove the need to make multiple dinghy trips ashore for larger groups.
Get more out of your sailing vacation with Horizon- ‘Super Tender’ it!
Please note that the Super Tender is towed as it is too large for davits and tenderlifts. You can choose to take your 10ft Rib as well on catamarans (stored on the davits or tenderlift), or leave it behind. On monohulls we recommend just taking the Super Tender.
Contact our reservations team for more information. Exclusively available only to Horizon Charter guests.

Staraya Russa | The city of the Brothers Karamazov
Staraya Russa is a small city of 32,000 inhabitants and it is little known in Europe, even if the Russians had a great historical importanc e, since it was one of the first Russian epic centers that began with the reign of Kiev. If not for this, it is well known among international travelers, for having been the summer residence of Dostoevsky, who took it as a model for the fictional town of Skotoprigonievsk, in his book The Brothers Karamazov.
Staraya Russa has a troubled history, having seen all over the history, many battles. They were of glorious beginnings of the city to escape their homes from wood to stone ones, thanks to commercial activities, the battles against the invading Vikings and Nazis, the decadence brought by brigandage in the seventeenth, which led it almost to disappear.
Despite everything, despite the destruction, something is preserved, such as: many wooden houses , including the residence of Dostoevsky , several churches , and something things were lost ( as the thermal bath has been rebuilt).
In addition to the smell of old Russia, and thermal waters, here you can visit the museum of Dostoevsky , Grushenka , the home of the Brothers Karamazov (obviously as a model in the novel), the fountain Muravyovsky , built where there is a natural mineral spring of the Cathedral of the Resurrection , the Monastery of the Transfiguration
Although it is not a big city, it can be challenging visited on foot, better consider a taxi. You can get there by taking a single daily connection by train from Moscow, more frequent connections with buses departing from Novgorod, one every hour, for two hours of travel.
