Motor Yacht JUST ENOUGH is an elegant and super luxurious vessel measuring 36.98 m (121' 4") and launched in 2012. Custom built, superyacht JUST ENOUGH offers a fantastic interior layout sleeping up to 11 charter guests in 5 spacious deluxe staterooms and was refitted in 2024.

The crew of 9 is there to exceed guests expectations and provide utmost in comfort and services. JUST ENOUGH yacht boasts striking exterior design and timeless interior styling. Her beautiful interior features vast open space areas, great for entertainment and relaxation. The sumptuous seating in her living areas is inviting, creating a comfortable and pleasant ambience.

The master suite is located on the main deck and boast a King-sized bed, desk/ vanity and seating. There is also a vast open-plan style en-suite with Italian marble and a corner shaped Spa Pool tub, a large shower, his and her sinks and a private head with a bidet.

Four guest staterooms are situated below deck; king and twin with a pullman bed are amidship and two queen staterooms can be found aft. Each of the staterooms has en-suite bathrooms with a Spa Pool and integrated showers. For additional comfort there are also mini self-service refrigerators.

Luxury amenities aboard JUST ENOUGH superyacht include at anchor stabilisers for elevated comfort, the popular Spa Pool pool on deck, air-conditioning as well as the convenient WiFi connection. The bridge deck offers everything for a relaxing movie night, with a large sofa, bar with seating as well as a games table. The exterior features an additional alfresco dining area with built-in seating.

The popular Spa Pool is found on the sun-deck, together with a bar and numerous chaise loungers. There is also a fabulous Dermalife Hydrofusion Spa onboard, with infra-red sauna, steam, vibration as well as chroma and aromatherapy.

Luxury yacht JUST ENOUGH is an ideal yacht when it comes to onboard entertainment and socialising with family, friends or business partners. In addition to excellent onboard leisure and entertainment facilities, Just Enough has a a fantastic choice of water toys, including a water slide with a walk-around floating pool, 3-seat wave runner, paddleboards, 2 two-person kayaks, snorkelling equipment, wakeboard, water skis, a three-person Banana, inflatable water toys as well as scuba diving equipment.

JUST ENOUGH is powered by two Caterpillar C32 diesel engines of 1,652 hp (1,232 KW), is capable of reaching a top speed of 18 knots and comfortably cruise at 12 knots.

Martha, Great trip. Amazing how many massive yachts out there. It felt like Just Enough was perfect size for two families and 8-9 of us. The spaces are very nice and comfortable. I think it would get tight with more than 9. For example the aft round dinner table is a fabulous place to have dinner, but it seats nine max. What really made the trip was the captain and crew. Besides being fun and easy they truly provided first class service all the time. That is not easy to do. We have lots of experiences around the world and this level of service was second to none. “This charter was our best one yet. The boat was kept immaculate and you can tell that the crew takes pride in the boat. Everything was always very neat and tidy which is always a challenge on a boat with a lot of people. Captain Kyle was fantastic and was always up for conversation about what we wanted to do or where we wanted to go and gave his suggestions. The chef….she was fantastic! We are more “simple cuisine” people. She made phenomenal food the entire time and I can assure you that NOBODY went hungry! She quite possibly made the best hamburger and mac and cheese I have ever had in my life for lunch one day when we did a barbeque. Her potstickers were outstanding, the fish was great, the lamb and duck were my favorite and I don’t even really like either one of those things! We were really there to relax after working long hours for months. I think they caught onto that very quickly! It’s really rare to see a crew who works so well together and they all really did. It was clear they all had specific jobs to do, but the amount of camaraderie and teamwork that I saw on this boat was a step above all others. To us, they were very much in sync, professional, and friendly. They made us feel comfortable from the moment we stepped aboard. All in all it was just a fantastic time and we were able to relax, eat too much, drink too much, and get some much needed Vitamin D. Thank you again for finding this boat for us at the last minute. I think it would get tight with more than 9. For example the aft round dinner table is a fabulous place to have dinner, but it seats nine max. What really made the trip was the captain and crew. Besides being fun and easy they truly provided first class service all the time. That is not easy to do. We have lots of experiences around the world and this level of service was second to none. ALL ABOUT THE YACHT

It’s rare to find a large, custom-built luxury yacht charter vessel, but motor yacht JUST ENOUGH is indeed a rare find.   This 140ft yacht was built in 2012, with the specific purpose of creating a comfortable vessel for family adventures at sea. Once onboard, experienced charter guests will find all of the creature comforts they expect on a luxury yacht, along with a full inventory of watersports toys.   In fact, to name the yacht JUST ENOUGH is a bit misleading – with an inventory that includes a water slide, spa pool and a 32′  center-console tender for toying wakeboards and other toys, and amenities such as a spa and stabilizers to keep the yacht comfortable in rough seas, a better name would be, “MORE THAN ENOUGH.”

ARCHITECTURE

Spacious open-style architecture on superyacht JUST ENOUGH is evident throughout the vessel’s interior. Her full-beam salon features a comfortable sofa lounge and flows into the forward formal dining area.  A convenient day head (small bathroom) can be accessed on this level, as well as the sky lounge.

The sky lounge is located on the bridge deck and offers a quiet, interior space for entertainment and relaxation.  Skylounge amenities include a full wet bar and game table. Immediately aft of the lounge is an open air space, suitable for dining all Aperto.

Above the bridge deck is the open-air sundeck.  This is the ultimate area to enjoy the yachting lifestyle.  Here, guests can work on their suntans reclined on a chaise lounge, gather around the wet bar to tell stories of their superyacht experience.  After a day of watersports, some guests might prefer the soothing warmth of the on deck Jacuzzi tub.  Note – in addition to the ondeck hot tub, the yacht also features a Dermalife Hydrofusion Spa, with infrared sauna, steam, and vibration, plus chroma and aromatherapy.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Accommodations for ten to eleven guests include a Master stateroom, positioned forward on the main deck.  This cabin features a King-sized bed, desk/vanity, and a small seating area. The ensuite bath is finished in Italian marble and includes a Jacuzzi tub, large shower, his-and-hers sinks and toilet, and bidet.

Four guest staterooms are located belowdeck.  Two guest staterooms are positioned amidships, one with a King berth and the other, a Twin cabin with an additional Pullman berth.  Two guest staterooms, each with Queen beds are located aft.  All guest stateroom have ensuite baths with Jacuzzi-style tubs and integrated showers. Mini refrigerators are installed in each guest room.

Elegant Interiors

Interiors on JUST ENOUGH are elegantly simple and traditional. Ares Marine made lavish use of mahogany paneling, a soft neutral palette and luxurious furnishings. The main salon is an open plan space with a stylish lounge area, a smaller casual dining or games table, and formal dining for 12. The upper-deck skylounge is the place for entertaining with a blue leather bar, ultra-comfortable L-shaped beige leather sofa to curl up in, and stunning views from the generous windows that embrace the space. There is also a 55-inch TV for onboard movie nights.

Luxurious Staterooms

Accommodations are equally luxurious sleeping JUST ENOUGH’s 11 guests in five well-appointed staterooms. The master stateroom is on the main deck and boasts a king-size bed, a private seating area and a handy desk. There is also a vast open plan style en-suite with lavish Italian marble and a large corner Jacuzzi tub and a shower. A further double with a king-size bed, two queen staterooms and a twin with an additional Pullman bunk can all be found on the lower deck. Each one has a spectacular en-suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and integrated shower.

Out on deck, JUST ENOUGH’s outdoor spaces are generous and designed with socializing and relaxing in mind. There is a casual alfresco dining aft of the sky lounge, while outside of the main deck salon, there is a comfortable built-in seating area and tables that are ideal for lazy lunches or a relaxed breakfast. Sun-loving guests tend to gravitate towards the sun deck and its large Jacuzzi, a marble-topped bar and sun loungers for catching rays. There’s another great space for more private sunbathing on the foredeck.

Entertainment

Although there is plenty to keep guests entertained on board, more active thrill-seekers will want to make the most of JUST ENOUGH’s flotilla of toys. Captain Austin McClure - American From the keel up, Austin knows boats and how they operate. As a Merchant Marine and graduate of Texas A&M Maritime Academy with a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Transportation, Austin received extensive training on vessels and life at sea. Austin currently holds his 2nd Mate Unlimited Tonnage License and a licensed Captain up to 1600/300 tons. He has a passion for the sea and all the adventure within it. Austin has travelled the world aboard many types of commercial vessels such as Jones Act containerships, OSVs up to 400’, and offshore tugs. The past few years Austin has transitioned into the sunnier side of the industry and has had experience running private and charter yachts, sail and motor. Austin’s travels have taken him to seas and ports around America as well as BVI, Cuba, Hawaii and Micronesian Islands, Philippines, Singapore, Panama Canal, Middle East, and the Black Sea. He has circumnavigated the globe, twice. With his competency in boat handling coupled with his hospitality experience, M/Y Just Enough is ready to deliver an elite guest service experience, to bring smiles and memories to last a lifetime. Michael Wilson - Chef - English From a hotel and restaurant background, Michael moved to yachting in 1998 and ha circumnavigated the globe twice, visiting many remote and unusual places onboard busy charter yachts. His repertoire of cuisine has been influenced by these travels and he has a passion for experimenting with different ingredients to produce a modern twist to dishes - from molecular to classic. Michael formally trained at Salisbury College UK, then continued his training in Barcelona for textures, modifiers and molecular cooking. Always one to improve is craft, Michael also studied at the Tokyo Sushi Academy, the Sushi Academy of Singapore, Macaron Pastry Training Centre in Bangkok, The National School of Culinary Arts In San Diego and the chef Academy in London. He is also well versed in vegetarian, vegan, Thai, Gluten Free, Fusion, Fish Butchery and Game fabrication. Michael only used healthy fresh ingredients and everything is made from scratch. Most expenses are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), a fund that is added on top of the charter price. The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption). You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled). Just Enough is a 42.98m long yacht with luxurious facilities aplenty for the most magnificent and memorable of chartered cruises. Beyond her contemporary shaped exterior lies a spacious stately interior of highly polished red wood furniture, marble and leather seating. 

Being open plan, with the lounge and dining areas separated by furniture, the vast saloon has an open expansive feel. Wide windows give the space light whilst eclectic classic furniture, from the arm chairs to the dining area chairs, give the room a cosy lived-in traditional charm. Other rooms in the interior of the Just Enough yacht for charter continue to follow its high standard opulent style. The sky lounge features clusters of arm chairs and settees, as well as a bar, setting a relaxed ambience and a prime position thanks to large windows to enjoy beautiful sea views. Hosting up to eleven guests, cabin accommodation is exceptionally luxurious and of the highest standard on the Just Enough yacht. Guest cabins comprise two king, two queen, and one twin (with Pullman). Here’s a look at the types of yachts you can charter in Key West and what’s involved in getting one. 

What Is a Yacht Charter?

Did you know you can just pick up the phone and rent a yacht? As the saying goes, all it takes is money! That’s a saying, right?

While the price of a yacht charter might look shocking at first, it’s important to remember everything you get. By staying aboard, you won’t have to worry about hotel rooms or resort costs. You will probably still eat and drink ashore, but you will have access to the boat’s galley to cook food. On a crewed yacht charter, the cook might prepare delicious food for you! You also won’t have to worry about booking snorkel trips or other excursions since you’re living an adventure every day on a yacht charter.

You can charter a yacht anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks. For an overnight trip, you can explore more of the Keys by visiting other marinas or anchoring for the night in secluded coves. Every day, you can pick from a variety of activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, lobstering, sandbar hopping, or just taking relaxing sails along the island chain.

There are two types of yacht charters you’ll find in Key West: crewed and bareboat. 

Crewed Charters

Crewed yacht charters typically provide a captain, but sometimes, you also get a cook. It depends on the yacht size and how long you’re going out. Crewed charters usually include food and some beverages, but policies differ depending on your company. The overall goal is always for the trip to be all-inclusive — just step off the plane and onto your own private yacht for an island getaway.

In Key West, a popular crewed charter option is to rent the yacht for a few days but only have the captain aboard for day trips. Each evening, you’ll return to the marina and use the boat like your hotel room. If you’ve ever dreamed of watching the sunset from your own yacht, this provides a glorious little taste of the yachting lifestyle. 

Bareboat Charters

A bareboat charter does not come with a crew or provisions — you’re just renting a ‘bare’ boat. That means you’ll be responsible for all the things a boat owner would be, like navigating safely, planning for the tides, not running aground, avoiding bad weather, and not getting lost. It also means you’ve got to dock the boat when you get back without crashing into anything!

If you think it sounds shady to hand someone your credit card and be given the keys to a yacht in return, know that it’s not quite that easy. Charter companies require that you have some documented experience in similar-sized boats before they’ll let you take theirs out. Even if you’re a seasoned boater, the company may make you go out for a few hours with their captain to check you out in the boat. If you don’t have quite enough experience, they may be able to get you a captain to spend the first day or two of your trip getting you up to snuff.

Regardless of your experience, most companies will spend time with you going over the boat and its systems. They’ll also review your itinerary to make sure you know everything you need to. If you dream of sailing yachts, ASA (American Sailing Association) has a course curriculum designed to prepare you to take bareboat charters anywhere in the world. You can take these classes at any sailing school or find a school that combines the vacation with the training. Over the course of a seven-day sailing vacation, you’ll go through the courses necessary to become a bareboat captain. 

Sail Away Key West and Offshore Sailing School are two such providers on the island. 

Key West Boat Rentals

Generally, when you’re looking for a “boat rental,” you’re looking for something for day trips — not for overnights. Boat rentals in Key West are usually center console or pontoon boats between 20 to 25 feet long, and they’re usually rented by the half or full day .

There are a ton of boat rental places on the island, and generally, you don’t need very much boating experience to rent one. You are, however, required to have taken the Florida safe boater course (or your state’s equivalent) if you were born after 1988. 

Types of Boats You Can Charter in Key West

Both powerboats and sailboats are available for charter. Charter company fleets vary considerably from company to company and location to location. Some places specialize in renting the newest, sleekest charter boats, while others find good ol’ boats that can be offered at lower prices. 

Monohulls vs. Catamarans as Charter Boats

Catamarans make up the overwhelming majority of the Key West charter fleet — and most other charter fleets, actually. Catamarans, both sail and power, are popular because of the amount of space and accommodations that they have. The interior of a 45-foot catamaran is about the same as a 60 or 70-foot monohull. A catamaran this size will have four separate staterooms, each with a private bathroom, meaning you could comfortably divide the cost of your charter among four couples. Plus, cats have huge windows, large patio tables, and lots of outdoor living space. They also have the added benefit of having a much shallower draft, which is great for exploring the Keys.

Catamarans are bigger and more expensive than monohulls, however. If you’re looking for a cheaper ride during your stay, you might do well to find a company that charters a monohull. 

Key West Yacht Charter Destinations

Where you go on a yacht charter in Key West depends on how long you’ve booked your charter for. If you’re only going for one or two nights, you’ll have to stick close to the island to ensure you can get the boat back on time. Never fear; there are plenty of incredible sandbars and reefs for exploring.

Three or four-day charters can explore more of the Lower Florida Keys. You might check out places like Little Palm Island Resort, Looe Key, and Bahia Honda State Park.

Five or six-day trips can get you to the Middle or Upper Keys. Places like Marathon, Islamorada, and Key Largo are possible options. For the entire 100-plus-mile stretch of the Keys, there are tons of reefs, sandbars, and little towns to check out and explore.

The longer you’re on the water, the more likely weather will play a major factor in your trip. Strong winds may be unfavorable for travel, or they may limit you to one side of the islands. The seas that can be kicked up on the ocean side can make for very long and uncomfortable travel days, so every captain must pick their destinations with a close eye on the weather.

The most asked-about yacht charter destination in the Keys is probably the Dry Tortugas. Dry Tortugas National Park is about 70 miles west of Key West, far out in the Gulf of Mexico. It’s a beautiful place, but there aren’t many places to stop and very little protection from the weather. Most companies recommend you have a five or six-night charter booked if you intend to call on the Dry Tortugas. 

Another option for longer charters is a one-way trip from Key West to Miami or vice versa.
