A POWERFUL, HIGH-PERFORMANCE SPORTSBOAT
The VX One is a 2 to 3 person keelboat with a light, easily driven hull by an efficient sail plan set on a full carbon rig. The boat can be launched simply off a dinghy style trolley or craned in using a single point lifting strop.
Key features of the VX One are the off the boom mainsheet which gives a huge uncluttered cockpit, whilst the self-tacking jib makes gybes easy when sailing 2 up. The jib furls for easy launching and recovery and for short-handed sailing or playing with the family. The spinnaker is launched using a single line hoist/ retrieval line making the process easy for anyone and a large chute mouth reduces friction.

The VX Two in detail -
The hull is in keeping with the distinctive sleek VX hull shape. A wide, shallow, open cockpit enables easy manoeuvrability for the skipper and crew while adding valuable righting moment for the hiking crew
The foils use a centreboard and kick-up rudder system, which makes for easy launching and retrieving.
The sail wardrobe includes a square top, fully battened mainsail, full batten jib and an Asymmetric spinnaker. The sails are open to be made by any sailmaker but built to strict class rules.
The spars are clear coated carbon tubes assembled by Mackay Boats.
Controls and Systems
• The mainsheet system comes directly off the boom just like skiff sailing which clears the cock pit and enables easy trimming.
• Adjustable jib leads will keep the crew busy making the jib perfect through the wind range.
• Easy to use halyard systems, including the use of jib luff zip makes for fast rig up
• A large spinnaker chute along with a carbon fibre retractable bowsprit has been designed for easy hoists and drops of the Asymmetric spinnaker.
• Controls are positioned in a central position for easy access and quick adjustments by crew and helm.
• Any excess water is shipped through the open transom.
• The boat sits on a beach aluminium trolley which allows for easy transportation along with launching and retrieving.

The boat comes complete with all ropes and sheets from Robline, foils, rudderstock, tiller extension, pole, hiking straps, boom, and Bluewave turnbuckles. The rig package comes with complete mast, stays, halyards and boom. Sails are not included.

Hoistable Swivel and Furler
The VX uses a 435 Small Boat furler tucked into the bow to keep the jib tack low and the jib out of the way when launching or retrieving the boat. The 464 hoistable ball bearing halyard swivel allows the sail to be raised and lowered without removing the headstay. The swivel is independent of the headstay so the luff can be tensioned separately from the mast rake.
Micro Track and Self-Tracking Jib
The custom 13 mm Micro track is curved to a ‘W’ shape allowing the jib to come as far aft as possible. A 2700 Micro car with a 352 Carbo AirBlock® runs on the track. The travel of the car and the jib sheet are controlled from the cockpit with a 205 swivel base. The base features a 2656 Carbo Fiddle mounted upside down under the forward coaming. Two 150 Cam-Matic® cleats—one facing up, the other down—bolt to the arm of the 205 swivel base. The jib sheet leads through the upper cam, the jib car control through the bottom. The base swivels from side to side to keep both control lines together within easy reach.
